v1.1.0
Improved Lighting: All of the lighting has been upgraded to better show back sides. Some lighting on darker skinned characters was a little bit too dark when viewing from behind, so it's all be updated for better visibility.
Improved Performance: Several changes have been made behind the scenes to improve performance, particularly in the Character Creator, but also in other sections. This is an ongoing thing, always in progress.
Fixed Unity Vulnerability: Unity recently announced a potential security issue in games made with it, so I updated the Unity Editor to the latest (fixed) version, and this CakeMix build was made with that. So no more vulnerability.
Added Tonemapper Settings: This is something you'll want to play with if you don't know what it is. Basically it's how the graphics renderer handles the overall tone of how the characters, etc. look. You can find it in Settings/Visuals. Try Photographic vs Aces to see the biggest difference.
Improved Hands Clipping: I fixed a problem with hands clipping a bit too much in Story Time mode. I also made changes to the clipping avoidance overall, but this is also something that is always being tweaked. Clipping is unavoidable (every game has some) but I'm doing my best to keep it under control as much as I can.
Improved Settings: I moved the Graphics settings to their own tab, so now Visuals and Graphics are separated. They're very similar, but basically Graphics is for video card stuff, and visuals is for general things like Brightness. Subtle change, but it gives me more room in the UI, so it works better than before. I also removed an FOV toggle from Graphics settings because it wasn't working anyway and was in there accidentally.
v1.0.0
Why did I remove VR? I took the public thoughts into consideration (basically that VAM already does VR amazingly well, which hell yeah it does) and changed direction.
For about six months now I've been turning CakeMix into an
uncensored AI companion
type thing. You can create new characters with the Character Creator with their own unique personalities, etc., then set up a scenario, and they'll tell you a story based on it. Stories can go from super chill slow burn to extremely explicit.
System Requirements
Minimum:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i5-6600K / AMD Ryzen 5 1600
Memory: 16 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX Vega 56* (8 GB VRAM minimum)
Storage: 10 GB available space (varies depending on AI settings)
Additional Notes: Integrated GPUs are not supported.
Recommended:
OS: Windows 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel Core i7-9700K / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X
Memory: 32 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 SUPER / AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT* (8 GB+ VRAM)
Storage: SSD with 20 GB free space
Additional Notes: Performance scales with available system RAM and GPU VRAM when running larger language models.
* Special Note for AMD GPU Users on Windows
If the game’s AI runs only on CPU (extremely slow), it means the runtime is failing to use your graphics card. By default it tries CUDA (NVIDIA only), then AMD HIP (not supported on Windows), and finally falls back to CPU.
To fix this:
Open the CakeMix install folder.
Find the folder named windows-hip.
Rename it (e.g. windows-hip.bak) or delete it.
Restart CakeMix. It will now use Vulkan on your AMD card, which is much faster.
This review is for version 1.1.1. This is the single most tasteful piece of erotic gaming content I ever came across. The dev let the product speak for itself. I dived in without any expectation, and was pleasantly surprised by its quality. The character creator is the best that I’ve seen. Sure, it has room for improvement. It needs more customisation options, but the available options and sliders are close to perfect in its current state. I don't really care about weight gaming, but I'm impressed that I was able to make a character with a very realistic body proportion, something that only a few games can do, and not as good as this. Zooming in on my character, I discovered that she has a very accurately modelled female intimate anatomy. More options like pussy lip shapes or even more pubic hairstyles may make it better. As a non-native English speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed the chat gameplay. The default AI worked slow on my computer, which only has integrated graphics. An average session lasts two hours, partly because I had minimal output and was slow to reply. I also tend to choose a scenario from #1 in chooser with “Teasing” heat level, because I wanted intimacy to develop first before it gets overtly erotic. But this is where the AI shows its cracks. It almost always follows a script where an unwanted visitor interrupts–for a reason which the AI itself struggles to make sense. It feels very forced and artificial, serving only to slow progression on lower heat levels. In contrast, when I tried the same scenario but with ”Extra Spicy” heat level, things escalated more naturally, maybe even a bit too fast. The animations are fine, although it would be better if there's an interaction between the chat and the character movements. The music track complements the gameplay well. Overall, I cannot think of any similar game with this level of quality. I hope the dev succeeds in this endeavor.
This is a game that isn't trying to do too much, and what it aims to do it does well. It has a solid character creator and uses an LLM to generate AI smut. The main erotic component is reading the text while ogling your generated model. The rest is up to your imagination. I definitely enjoyed it for what it is, though I think it would help if you could pose the model more during the actual scenes (especially if there were like some simple animations you could select from). You can pose them during character creation, so it seems like it would be easy to implement. More clothes and hair options wouldn't hurt either. Definitely worth checking out if you are into literotica.
The character creator is easy enough to use. More descriptive terms for each slider would be helpful. The models seem great. It feels like some actual thought went into the application; that's neat. This feels disparate though, as if the chatbot element of the game (although implemented well enough) was just inserted along with the 3d character model. Perhaps if there were some interaction between the character model and the LLM output it would be more interesting but as of now it's just kind of boring. Great job on the implementation though - I'm using Wine and it runs decently enough.
A game that has both a super amazing character creator? (Seriously the character creator is really good but lacks clothes and obviously more stuff can be added) and also an ai chat bot? Wow. The chatbot needs some work though since it loads really slow and the fact that you cant edit chats sucks since obviously the AI will say some things and drive the scenario in a way I dont want it to so I would wanna edit alot of what it says. Just look at Perchance.ai for example. I wont ask for a smarter AI but yeah I guess most AIs out there are really censored and the stuff they say arent as unfiltered and sexy as you want them to be (They repeat the same generic stuff like "*Comes close to your ear and huffs* and I will rock your world like you never would believe". Its so stupid and doesnt make my dick go hard I want extreme, disgusting stuff and for the AI to go all out) so maybe you can work on that.
self-taught, self-made, self-impeachable, and self-proclaimed art critic This review concerns the first version of CakeMix available on F95Zone, i.e. 30-06-2024 and is based solely on my own tastes and interests : Armed with my Pico 4 and my graphics card NVIDIA GeFORCE GTX 1050, I wasn't expecting much other than lag and black screens... But **surprise** thanks to this game I was able to enjoy : + Very accessible interface in terms of simplicity and logic. + Correct customization of our pin-up, with numerous and varied morphology choices. (I'll share my creations as soon as I know where it's been saved). + A satisfying and even very nice rendering, given my somewhat derisory equipment. Of course, with a lace brief, a bra and a pair of shoes, which you can certainly color to your heart's content: - It doesn't go very far in terms of clothing... And once you've finished customizing the beauty, well, you'll quickly notice the lack of playability: - There are currently only two very basic game modes. But why five stars in this case ? Well, the second mode is a strip tease room where your pin-up will put on a show and... sipping your whisky without ice and popping your cigar from the back of your best armchair, you'll be able to relax royally. Careful not to set yourself on fire, though. There are too few VR games offering a truly relaxing experience, so I'd like to encourage this one, which has great potential without going off in all directions. Thanks to the F95Zone community for sharing this game ! I love you @redcherry I hope the developer will thus gain visibility and members on Patreon. ...and popularity for, maybe, future sales on steam once his game is finished. Their catalog is still too small and this game has its place there.
