Confessions in the Dark is a Ren'Py visual novel by Maple Bird, presented with 2D AI CG art. You play a male protagonist whose struggle with a fantasy involving his wife and another man becomes a confession that reshapes their relationship. The story centers on their romance and swinging dynamic as they consider pleasure, temptation, and whether they can keep moving together without going too far. Named themes include netorare, romance, and swinging.
The current build is v0.14, dated January 7, 2026, and the project remains in development. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, uses English, and is uncensored. The latest changelog says the update continues the Beach Arc and pushes the story further with Sally, giving players a change of pace.

Continues the story, with the conclusion of the theme park date, another scene with Ben, and Part 1 of the Beach arc.
- Due to more feedback regarding the relationship dynamic between MC and FMC, I have made additional changes to already released content, adding in some lines of dialogue that hopefully reinforces the dynamic that they share better. (Basically added lines to make it a more loving relationship, reinforcing the mutual respect and understanding of sharing your wife, and being shared)
- New total includes 4,297 lines of dialogue , containing over 54,821 words.
- 3 new sex scenes.
- Moved the Halloween scene to the end of the game, with a menu to select it or return to menu. Plan is to add more seasonal content there. (Christmas!)
