Just a Friend
About Just a Friend
Just a Friend is a Ren'Py visual novel by Just_A_Friend, built around phone-style chats, images, and branching decisions. You follow a work-focused protagonist and his girlfriend Lisa, who feels neglected at home. After an old friend's suggestion, she joins the JustAFriend website, starting events that affect several parallel storylines. Your choices can move relationships toward romance or cheating. Losing one path may introduce new contacts, while some characters can vanish permanently. The presentation uses 2D AI CG art, with adult themes such as corruption and female domination.
The current build is Chapter 7 Part 1, released October 17, 2026, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Android, with English and Russian language options and no censorship. Earlier updates expanded the game with new text, images, and relationship paths, including a chapter covering one in-game week. The latest release continues the story through the phone interface, while the game focuses on relationship consequences.
Developer's description
The main character immerses himself completely in work, while his girlfriend Lisa stays at home, gradually sinking into boredom. One day, on the advice of an old friend, she registers on the website JustAFriend — a seemingly harmless decision that quietly sets off a chain of events long before anyone realizes the consequences. JustAFriend is a phone-format visual novel where the story unfolds through chats and images. Your choices shape different paths of relationship development: from romantic intimacy to infidelity, including NTR and NTS branches. The story develops simultaneously in several directions, involving different characters and forming parallel storylines. Losing one storyline may open up new acquaintances and events, but in certain cases a character disappears forever, never appearing in the story again.
