SMALL CHANGES: A few changes to wrong images in the prolog of the game that I didn't catch before. Made a very minor tweak so some dialog here and there. Nothing big or worth mentioning. Changed a few earlier scenes in the game to use the new sprites. Nothing major. Small changes to one of the tutorial screens. Added a little foreshadowing in one date. Changed the way that the "demon search" event in chapter two is triggered. It was a bit inconsistent before and should now work a bit better. FIXES: Honestly, I can’t remember much, but a few bugs were fixed here and there. One known issue: skipping during interrogation events can mess up the speech bubbles. I haven’t found a reliable solution for this yet. v0.5 New Content: STORY: the story continues from the end of chapter I, to the beginning of chapter II. THREE SEX SCENES: Three new sex scenes, one for Enna, one for Moran and one for Kasia. THREE NEW DATES: With the new sex scenes come new dates. Also one for each girl. A NEW MINIGAME: Play Kasias minigame to earn her affection and go on dates with her. HANGOUTS: A whole plethora of new hangout events and animations have been added. FIXES: I did a bunch of small fixes here and there. Nothing too big or fancy to receive a specific mention. NOTES: v0.4 New Content: THE FIRST DUNGEON: The story continues, with this update finishing the first dungeon of the game and closing out chapter I. TWO SEX SCENES: It also features two new, fully animated, sex scenes. One with Moran and one with Kasia. A NEW DATE: Along with the new sex scene for Moran, her final date for chapter I is also included. FIRST BOSSFIGHT: With the end of the first dungeon, this update features the first "bossfight" of the game. Changed Content: CONTROLS: Added a screen to the main menu where you can check the games controls. LEAVING THE DUNGEON : Added a new button at the top left when visiting the Veil that allows you to easily exit the Veil at any time. CHANGED IMAGES: Changed a few menu images, mainly images for clues and one for the third case. Gameplay Changes: Changed the way the little portraits next to the rooms are displayed. Changed way arrows in the shop minigame are dispalyed when asking for help. Slowed down fishing minigame slightly on PC and a lot on Android, making it a bit easier. Increased players life by two points. Meaning that you'll have more time to replenish your health before you die. Slight changes to the way some buttons appear on screen in the players home. FIXES: I did a bunch of small fixes here and there. The only one worth mentioning is that I fixed a possible softlock that could occur when entering the office in the theater after having played the minigame there. v0.3.3 New Content: THE DUNGEON: The dungeon continues with a bunch of new puzzles and areas to explore, also a new gameplay mechanic has been added. This is he biggest addition to the Dungeon yet. A completely new section was added to the dungeon. The first Interrogation. A bunch of new clues. New animations. SEX SCENES: A new sex scene with Enna has been added. Repeatable with different dialog the second time you play it. BRIGHTNESS: I added a prompt to set your brightness the very first time the game is ever opened. RECAP/HELP: Added te recap/help feature when meeting with Moran to enter the Veil. You can use it to recap where you're at and what you need to do next. SOUNDS: I added new sounds and ambiances for the new areas in the dungeon. QUIT SCREEN: I added a little custom screen when you quit the game. Nothing major and it definitely needs to be improved, but I wanted to mention it. Changed Content: PROLOG: After last updates sweeping changes to the prolog, this update included a little cleanup to make the new prolog as good as possible. Nothing that warrants a new playthrough I'd say, but I think it's a welcome improvement. This doesn't change the story at all. CHANGED ENVIRONMENTS: When you open the game you'll be greeted by a remade magic shop. It was the very first environment I ever built for the game, while I was still developing MIST and it showed. Now it was time to give it a visual makeover. Also a slight change to the study, where the blanket on Enna's bed is now green. And an additional small change to the fishing spot that'll only really come into play in future versions. SKIN: I also made some small improvements to the girls skin textures, which can be observed in the renders in 0.3.3, but the change isn't big enough for me to go back and redo past sections. INTRO: I changed the introduction of the actress/Girl #3 to be a bit more visually appealing. Some new renders and a new animation. DEMON: I also changed the visuals of the Demon, when you encounter her in the Veil she'll now look very different. A bit more sexy I'd say. HANG OUTS : Enna's hang outs are now animated. But there are still some very slight bugs in there that I'll need to iron out, nothing gamebreaking though so I'm leaving it for the next update. RE-RENDER: There were some grainy images in the prolog that I rerendered. It wasn't that noticeable before, but with the new gamma adjustement it became very obvious and needed to change. ANIMATION: This is also something that'll mainly come into play in the future but can be observed in this update already. I figured out a method to do the post production on my animations a lot more similar to my still renders. Previously, that was not possible and they looked a bit less appealing because of it. I hope this'll make them even better in the future. GAMEPLAY CHANGES : This time around there are quite a few small gameplay or UI related changes. The brightness slider is now a bit less sensitive. Slight adjustment to clue screen to, hopefully, indicate clues offscreen a bit better. Adjusted input screen to be centered and a little bit prettier. The Veil can now be entered both during the day and during the night. The tutorial was also changed to indicate this new option. But you can only enter the Veil once a day. Reduced amount of affinity needed to unlock a datepoint. Basically reducing the grind to unlock a new date or sex scene. Slight change to scrollbars to be easier to interact with on Android. Changed interaction events in the magic shop to fit the remade shop. BUGS: This time around, there are a few known bugs, but nothing that'll stop you from enjoying the game, I'll adress them as soon as possible, but I didn't want to delay the update any further. Datepoints : There is a bug that shows you the "Datepoints are full" message, even when they aren't full. You can just ignore it and keep playing. It happened when I reduced the amount of affinity needed to unlock a datepoint and I haven't found out where it's caused yet. Hangouts: Just before the uploads I noticed that on some occasions the wrong animation is shown during Enna's hangouts. Like hanging out with her during the day, but the night animation plays. No gameplay problems, just the visuals. Veil Minigame: There is a new minigame in the Veil where, if you leave out one of the possible inspect buttons, you can trigger a scene out of order. Again no gameplay issues, it's just a bit strange but it's only about 6-7 lines or so. No big deal, i'll sort it out next time. Portraits: The girls portraits are supposed to be red when a new date is available, but I kinda forgot to maintain that system and it's not working properly right now. It literally doesn't matter, but I wanted to mention it. NOTES: Yes I know, the patch notes got a bit lengthy this time around. Partly because a lot of work went into the update but also partly because this update I tried to keep track of all the small changes I make. Honestly all my patch notes should look like this, I just forget the details. Even this time I can guarantee that I forgot to mention a bunch of small changes and adjustments that just happen during a day of development. I'm trying to get better at keeping track of it all, but at the same time I feel like it doesn't really matter all that much. Either way. This update was a blast to develop and I'm already looking forward to the next one. I feel like all the elements I envisioned two years ago are now slowly coming together. Between the dungeon, the minigames, the hang outs, the pin-ups, the dates and sex scenes there is plenty to do in the game and It'll only get better as additional girls join the fray. Now that I'm thinking about it, that sounds like I set myself up for a lot of work : D But that's fine, my vision is slowly coming together and I can't wait to, in a few years, see the finished game. But even before that, I'm looking forward to the journey that will get us there! v0.3.2 New Content: THE DUNGEON: It's finally time to enter the games first dungeon. It's still early in development and there isn't a huge amount of content in the dungeon yet, but that will follow in the next few updates. DATES: Go on three new dates with Enna and learn more about the person behind the bronze mask. SEX SCENES: Along with the new dates, Enna has two new sex scenes for you to explore. I'm especially proud of the second one. INTERACTION VIEW: By pressing a new button in the UI, you can interact with certain objects in your house to get some insight or background information. NEW HANGOUT: Hang out with Enna in the new and improved backyard and get to know her a bit better. NEW ANIMATIONS: The dungeon comes with a few new animations, so does the main menu now. GAMMA: I've been in contact with Pytom, the creator of Ren'Py, to finally bring you a real gamma adjustment for the game. With it you can now make sure that the game looks correct no matter where you play or how your light situation is. NEW TITLE: As you can tell, the games title has changed. DEMO VERSION: From now on there will also be a free demo version that features only the prolog of the game so people can try it out before deciding to buy. Changed Content: PROLOG: The entire prolog has been rewritten and plenty of renders have been remade. See a new opening to the story and a changed Enna. REMADE LOCATIONS: Along with the new prolog, I remade or improved several environments to be more interesting or visually pleasing. BRIGHTNESS: I also retouched several backgrounds that were either a little too bright or a little too dark. As well as Enna's first sex scene. Notes: This update was a huge undertaking for me and StrayHero (the games editor). We set out to make the opening more engaging and interesting. To give Enna a new dimension and make her more interesting, all while keeping true to the story and who she still is as a character. The story itself has not changed a whole lot. If you don't want to start from the beginning, you don't have to. But I still highly recommend starting over for the best experience. I think it is worth it. That said, I wish everyone a good time with the update! This marks a new chapter for the game and I'm looking forward to building more content and improving on top of this new base in the future. The game still has a long way to go, but I feel like my vision is slowly but surely coming together. v0.3 New Content: The story continues : About thirty minutes of additional gameplay. The first dungeon: While it's only a short glimpse, you get to see the first dungeon of the game. The third character: You'll only see her briefly, but the third girl of Children of Morn can be spotted in this version. Three new erotic scenes: Three new sex scenes, all of them focused on Moran this time and all of them repeatable, with different dialogue the second time you play them. Dates with the snake: Seven date events for Moran are now in the game. Four story scenes and the mentioned three sex scenes. The second minigame : You can now go fishing with Moran to earn her affection, she goes crazy when it comes to fresh fish. The city : You can now travel to the first few locations in the city. It's not used for much at the moment, but the system will be expanded in future versions. Accessibility: I added a brightness slider to the menu for those that play in well-lit environments. It's not perfect as Ren'Py isn't really equipped to do this kind of stuff, but it works. New Music: Additional music tracks can now be heard in Children of Morn. New Sounds: A bunch of new soundeffects were added to the game. I recorded most of them on my last vacation. Changed Content: Reworked: I've reworked the shop minigame to make it easier to understand, the initial tutorial more comprehensive, the clickable areas much more noticeable and to shift the emphasis from memorizing the whole inventory, to listening to the customers clues and selecting the right items on your own. Gallery Buttons: I've made adjustments to the gallery and the journal to have more compact buttons for the girls. Quality of Life: Whenever you can go on dates with the girls, their little icon next to the quicktravel buttons is now colored red, so you always know when to visit them. Whenever your lifepoints are about to run out, a small event will warn you and their color will change to red. The logic in the screen when selecting clues has been changed to be slightly more intuitive. Also maybe the visuals changed? I can't remember when I did this change, maybe it was in v0.2. I'll just mention it here. Slight Edits : Very few and very slight adjustments have been made to the scripts of 0.1 and 0.2. we're talking two lines if I remember correctly. Notes: Version 0.3 took way too long. There are multiple reasons for it and I'll probably talk about it in the future, but what's important for me to mention right here is that I apologize for the big delay. I made you wait way too long for new content and will make sure that it won't happen again. In return, the update is at least quite big. I wish you all a great time with Enna and Moran! v0.2 New Content: The story continues: About 30-45 minutes of additional gameplay. A new character joins the game: Meet the newest character, Moran. Two new erotic scenes: A repeatable scene with Enna and a scene with the new girl are now in the game. The first minigame: Run the magic shop and sell all kinds of items in the newest and first minigame. The first date: A date-event with Enna has been added, the first of many. The house: Ennas home is now in the game as the first explorable area. Accessibility: I added options to customize the text, hopefully making it easier to enjoy the game on both the PC and on Smartphones. New Music: Additional music tracks can now be heard in Children of Morn. New Sounds: A bunch of new soundeffects, including the moans and giggles of the second voice actress for Children of Morn are now in the game. Changed Content: Rerendered: I've spent a lot of time relighting and rerendering almost every render of the first update. Rewritten: While the plot itself didn't change and probably won't change, I rewrote the first part to be smoother and more interesting. The player character now plays a more active role in the narrative. UI Changes: I adjusted the UI to be a bit easier to use and prettier. Like changes to the journal or the save/load screen. New Textbox: I changed the way the textbox is displayed for a more unique and cinematic look. A Disclaimer: A new content warning message has been added to the games splashscreen. Notes: A lot of work went into version 0.2, a lot more than I had anticipated and planned. Together with the repeated hardware failures I experienced in the last month, working on this update was not the most pleasant experience I ever had. Nonetheless, I'm very happy and satisfied with the end result. I also have to give my thanks to StrayHero, the editor for Children of Morn. Without his help things would be much worse, his feedback really helped me improve this version. Difficult to rank. The story seems very ambitious. I think in a final version it would definitely have been a 5/5. Right now, at the beginning, it's more like a 3/5. The companions are very well implemented in their own way. The weakest character is actually the MC, who is visually very poorly implemented when compared to Noreia from MIST. The grind has been significantly reduced compared to its predecessor, and the dating tree is a nice feature. 4/5 for v0.5.1.

I don't know what to say. I rather enjoyed The Mist, this author's previous work, but Covenant of Morn just isn't clicking. The MC is weird and unattractive, the love interests are weird and unattractive, and everyone else is a blog (so they're easy to render) so I'm left with just the story which, so far, is nothing to write home about. If you're fast forwarding the sex scenes, something is seriously wrong. The premise is interesting... ish? You die and are resurrected using a sex spell of some sort. Unfortunately the process has left you with purple skin and a tattoo on your penis which you see outside of sex way too often. I quickly began wishing that the MC wore underwear to bed. You’re tasked with killing someone as payment for your resurrection, and right off the bat I’m barely hanging on to the story. I almost quit playing at the “bad ending” where you decide you don’t want to be a murderer and would rather return to being dead. I liked that ending. But no. I took the deal and now I’m doing mini-games at a shop to get more “dating” points so that I can advance with the love interests that I have no interest in having sex with because they’re not attractive. The main love interest is a blind witch with very ordinary features who is awkward as fuck. The demon girl is covered in green scales, fangs, and dresses like the world’s worst stripper. The last one is some overweight girl. I’m not demanding model looks, but some effort to make them attractive would have been welcome. I keep trying to get back into it, but it’s overly wordy with events taking far too much pointless back and forth before continuing. Nothing of interest is ever discussed, and all the mini games and crap puzzles just slow things down even more. A lot of effort has been put into it, and there IS a story, albeit a poor one, so I can’t give it one star, but I don’t think I’m going to continue playing due to all the flaws previously mentioned.

This... is by far the most well done VN I have seen on this website to this day. I came to wank but was left with an insane story. Everything is just excellent about this and I don't know why it's not better known. The production quality is insane. Every scene has a fitting soundtrack, the visual are absoloutely stunning, like seriously. The scenery is stunning and the characters are jawdropping. The story is captivating and the characters have actual depth. Seriously you NEED to play this

Covenant of Morn - A Discovery of Self the latest project by 395games, is currently (roughly) a third of the way through its production cycle. Their previously completed game, Mist, held a unique aesthetic and pushed the boundaries of the ren'py system to make the game feel active and engaging. 395games emphasizes exploration-cycles, returning to a home base, and doing simple mini-games in order to appease a small but diverse harem of extremely well detailed models. Plot and Characters. Several other reviewers have brought up Dark Souls or Elden Ring in terms of aesthetic and story. You are resurrected via dark magic by a witch, whose sister, a demon hunter, is looking to eliminate her, you, and all Demonkind. You must discover fellow demons, assist them in their personal struggles, and in so doing fold them into the cause of your mistress. Your presence in the corporeal world is tethered to magics tied to lust and seduction, so if you aren't achieving release in a certain period of time, you're banished off to the proverbial shadowlands. While I have not played Dark Souls or Elden Ring, I have played their earliest progenitors- Ghosts and Goblins, and Demon's Souls. I am equally lost in Covenant of Morn as I am for Demon's Souls: There is some basic metanarrative here, there's a sense of why I am doing what I am doing, however, unlike 395Games previous works, I fail to see the hook for this setting and world. The Audience is not incentivized to empathize with their domina, Enna. You have sex to come back to life, she treats you like an eternal lover, an eternal partner- your character responds in kind- and then the entire relationship is written in an awkward, stilted, frigid manner, as though the author forgot about placing the horse before the cart. As you are subservient to the witch Enna, you also have a servant-Demon of your own, Moran. This character is your typical brat-sub, who talks initially as though she could not care less for you, but then quickly dissolves this into a typical master-servant relationship. Both Enna and Moran's dialogue seems more built around explaining a world that you as a character should already be well versed to living in. The intricacies of the demons and their relationship to the current state of the world is rather unknown. Mix of late 19th century aesthetic combined with medievalism does not allow oneself to feel grounded in a particular place or time. The entire game so far reads like a fever dream. The writers are getting better at their erotica. Laugh-worthy descriptions and dialogue from Mist are refined and more tasteful in Covenant of Morn. They have yet to strike that perfect balance of emotive and sensual description, and rely largely on their excellent quality models and animation, but there's a clear effort to get more intimate and sensual with the writing and it should be lauded rather than chastised. Gameplay, Graphics, and Audio. Where 395zone really shines is in audio placement. A maximizing minimalist- the sound of skin on skin, moans, soft panting, and subtle environmental reactions to character animations absolutely sell the few, but very well placed together scenes. Their use of lighting and sound has developed exponentially compared to their previous work- which itself was already high quality. The female models are incredibly detailed, unique to one another visually, and have different ambitions. The gameplay is a loop of adventure-exploration on particular time limits, as the longer you are away in the proverbial 'veil,' a shadow world that nestles atop of our own, the less likely one is to return to the material world. Each girl has their own particular mini game. Some are generic, some are quite clever. Here, there is an investigation element, but I feel as though the game does not have enough red-herrings, supplemental lore and characterization items, and background information to justify calling it an 'investigation' game, despite that clearly being the genre the developer wishes to go for. This is a drastic limitation of the ren'py platform- but there are plentiful ways to subvert that. The developer would do well to find these methods. If you have played Dangonranpa, you understand the motif- you need to break down people's self-delusions, lies, and alibi's through judicious use of evidence, and in so doing seduce demons to your cause. 395games has a history of re-balancing minigames, adding additional dialogue, and smoothing out the story-pacing of their work in later editions, so I assume that this game will receive the same treatment. In terms of 3D modeling and cinematogrophy, 395games is probably in the 1%. In terms of audio design, for a minimalist soundscape it's in the top 5%. A game discovering itself Covenant of Morn is trying to figure itself out. Half investigation game, half exploration game, occasionally an erotica game, with murky relationships and stattacco pacing that feels largely artificial and a world that has failed to convince me is real. Despite this, I suspect great things from the game's final release and future 395games projects- they really are pushing the boundaries of visuals and audioscape for this ancient ren'py platform.

Another game by the developer of the Mist. Basically the same game but slightly improved. Better animations, less annoying gameplay. But the same mediocre writing is everywhere. This game has a pretentious version of Dark Souls. A firekeeper analogue calls you back to life and you're an undead champion (sic.). It's so full of exposition.

Version played: 0.5 Will keep it short, I think. I would say overall Covenant of Morn is good, visually well done, puzzles that work well, schenes that are done competently. However, for me personally it falls flat on the story. I just can’t care for it, not for the characters, not the plotline. For a game like this, the story is the glue that keeps everythng together. To me it just falls flat here. I much enjoyed the other two games by 395games, although Mist got less interesting later on it had a great buildup. On a personal note been kind of absent from these games in general, so perhaps my own taste has simply changed. In either case from a technical standpoint Covenent of Morn is great, and with it a good example for other games, just wish I would actually enjoy it.

You can't possibly not like this game if you enjoyed the Dev's prior ones. CoM is an upgrade graphically and also story wise. The world building is great, there is mystery and intrigue and interesting characters. The mini games are less intrusive and getting around the area feels more natural. Did I mention that it is really beautiful art wise? This is a great game and you better like it. Or else!

PROS + The story is kind of interesting, and not poorly-written in most parts. + Visual style looks unique, especially the usage of lights, and place designs are quite interesting. + Animation physics is well-made. CONS - Story-wise MC doesn't really feel interesting or likeable, his motives are not really logical either, he got reanimated, and he accepted deal from a witch he saw in his life first time just because of wanting have more sexy time with her, wanna feel her lips more, etc, BRUH... - Not just MC, most of the other characters are not that likable either, and they are quite inconsistent with themselves, etc. - Again there is a mechanic like the curse in the other game, and this time it's called ''Life Points'' that force you to have sex with girls before you lose all of them, or you face with game over, which feels lame, and copy & paste from the old game of the DEV. - Now there are another mechanic called ''Date Points'' you need to accure via hanging out with girls, or working, etc, to see their content like dates, sex scenes, etc, even tho it kind of makes sense, feels bit annoying, and little bit grindy. - Minigames are boring, and kind of tedious, some are skiblabe after doing them first time, so that's plus at least. - Your choices not really matters, and sanbox doesn't give you any real freedom aside from ''exploration'' parts either, if you don't count those parts then the whole sandbox thing feels unnecesary AF, in fact the game could be Visual Novel even with those parts included with no problem at all. - There is too much unnecessary text/dialogue, it makes things boring, and tedious. - Even tho visual style is unique, and colors, and place designs, etc, looks good, can't say same for characters, characters has unnnecesary cartoonish look on them, they look weird, and not attaractive at all, considering this is an adult game this is biggest con this game has, females are not appealing at all, and MC doesn't look good either. - Stock red stick figures used for common people look weird, and bad. - Sex scenes are not appealing, they are quite poor, especially thanks to character models. VERDICT Honestly this game straight up downgrade to the old game of the DEV, can't see it's worth playing with the current CONS I talked about it, shame tho, this game could have been soo much better.

Fantastic new game from the creator of MIST. The game is truly awesome and very unique. The story is dark, immersive, bizarre and interesting to the extent where I still would be playing this game even without any porn for the sake of story alone. But lewd content is, of course, present and makes this game way more enjoyable. Scenes here are less of a pure debauchery but about intimacy and nonetheless still are very lewd. The UI is great, there is practically nothing left from basic Ren'py features and design. Locations all unique too, everything I saw in the game world, I didn't see anywhere else. That concerns characters too; from their looks to their behavior, they are all fresh, have unique, interesting personalities and in general are great waifus. MC thanks God, is a normal human male - dedicated, has balls, decisive. He doesn't irritate, or do braindead stuff, or behave like an edgy soyboy loser) Sound and music are very atmospheric and play a big part in immersion in the new fantastic world, where everything was made from scratch, and thanks to it, feels very fresh and unique. If you think that I overused the word "unique" then maybe you are right, but this word is the best way to describe games of this Dev.

V0.5 Although is a work in progress, CoM has all the quality I expected 395games showed in Mist. I think the renders are beautiful and an improvement over Mist, Kasia's model is one of the best renders I've seen in a 3-D NSFW game and the lighting in some scenes is marvelous. Story-wise I'm engaged, though is a little bit early in the development yet, I think there are some rough corners in the script that I think will be improved in the future, people don't remember that Mist early content was completely re-worked as the game became more polished.

I am really enjoying this game so far. The atmosphere is dark, mysterious and different. The music perfectly complements the scenes. I like the characters so far. The premise is interesting - it is a weird mix of dark medieval fantasy that I really enjoy. The art is quite unique too and is different from the games that I am used to. I am looking forward to seeing how the story progresses.

Here at F95Zone, there are numerous adult games, but among those I've played, only a few truly capture my attention. In my opinion, these rare gems manage to keep me engaged, compelling me to read every dialogue and become intrigued by the story and its developments. Covenant of Morn is one such game. While it lacks certain elements I personally enjoy in a game—such as pregnancy (which may or may not be feasible given the MC's condition)—I hope the developer considers incorporating features like this in the future. The intricacies of pregnancy, along with additional scenes of passion and other elements, could add even more depth to the experience. Now, onto the specifics of the game: The gameplay is impressively engaging for a Ren'Py project. The renders are outstanding. The dialogue is well-crafted and immersive. The story stands out as refreshingly unique compared to other games I've played here. These are my two cents as a contribution to a review. Congratulations to the developer (or team of developers)—I hope you continue delivering such excellent work!

The design of characters is good, the animation is smooth, too bad it's still early and don't have enough of content in it. It's really good and i can't wait for the next update of the story. Need to know more about MC back stories.

You can really feel that that a great deal of care has been put into every single aspect of the game. Every single visual und audio asset seems to be handcrafted and makes for a very unique and fresh experience, compared to other adult games that feel very rehashed. The world, story and characters have depth to them and are intriguing and the sex scenes have build-up and tension with handcrafted and excellent animations that are accompanied by amazing audio effects. I usually mute moaning in sex scenes since in most games it takes me out of the experience due to it being repetitive and/or seeming out of place but this game really nails it. I can't wait for the next update.

Pros: decent writing. Somewhat interesting personalities for the women. immersive cutscenes that are actually worth not skipping. They're well done, and other developers could learn from them. Cons: everyone looks wierd. Minigames are annoying. I was surprised that I was slightly disappointed when it ended, not because I enjoyed it, but because I wasn't 100% ready to give up on it. Only like 99.8%. I'm going to start with the main point: everyone looks WIERD. The protagonist is cold-corpse-blue, which makes sense at the start when he is literally waking up as a corpse, but is rather unnecessary everywhere else. I'm not sure what purpose it serves, in terms of making a compelling product. I think most people's suspension of disbelief, if it allows "the protagonist is a zombie," will allow "the protagonist is a zombie with human colored flesh." Or maybe it's just me. And he has tatoos on his penis. Why? Don't know. Girl 1, Enna, is good looking. She has two big scars over her eyes, which are blind-cloudy-grey, but it doesn't render her ugly. Theoretically, I like human diversity, so that's ok, even if it doesn't make her as attractive as she might have been without whatever happened to her eyes. But something about her face just doesn't seem quite right. The contours or something are unhumanish, and from certain angles it moderately disrupts things for me. And her boobs are meh, as is her pussy. When a girl gets naked, I should be happy about it, and with her, I'm not. Girl two, Moran, is a snake demon. With scales, fangs, superhuman deepthroating ability, and a very I'm-blanking-on-the-word-it's-not-quite-'volatile'-it's-more-playful-but-I'm-not-sure-what-to-call-it-but-I-think-there's-a-good-word-for-it-somewhere-in-English-'whimsical'-that's-it!-but-I'm-in-too-deep-to-go-back-and-insert-it personality. And she's mostly hot. The snake stuff doesn't do it for me (except the deepthroating, but humans can do that too), but her monsteryness doesn't ruin her as a LI. Still, I don't find her super attractive. Girl three, Kataryzieinfeijsaa (I think I spelled that right) aka Kasia, really doesn't do it for me. When naked, her proportions seem awkward. She has TONS of stretch marks, (which normally don't bother me, but her skin makes it look almost like she once gave birth to a horse that was pregnant with an elephant), saggy boobs, and unerotic nipples. She's a miss for me, even with my weakness for redheads. The writing is good, but there are problems, like not explaining whatever the fuck demons and demonic posession are. And things like why can't demons just rip the heads off of excorsists, given their strength. The protagonist is kind of weak as a character. He's hard to relate to. Seems just blown across his path like a tumbleweed, without much personality or individuality or character or anything. The women have personalities, and they aren't just cliches. Overall, that's good. At the same time, they're all kinda' annoying. Enna, despite (or perhaps because of it? That would be less annoying) her magical connection to the protagonist, pushes him away all the fucking time. It's like she wants a slow burn, with a guy she literally kissed back to life and had sex with before the first date. V0.4 and she won't even let you sleep in the same bed even though you fucked who does that??? And she's really annoying when she's being closed off, which is almost all the time. I get being closed off, but she's very anti-sweet about it. If that makes sense. Moran is a demon, so she's deliberately irritating (or uses that as an excuse to be deliberately irritating) at times. Fine. Kasia Spoiler: BIG SPOILER her whole demonic possession is the result of her being super mad at her best friend for a betrayal, and being inconsistent as fuck with herself about it, and then losing her shit because her friend wasn't miserable. She may have redeeming qualities, and she doesn't deserve the headman's axe (unless she has more skeletons in her closet,) but she's not appealing at all. The minigames are not great. I've certainly seen worse, and they wouldn't be a deal-breaker on their own, but they're not very challenging, or rewarding, or skippable. The exploration minigames are worse. There's a place you have to explore that you get kicked out of if you stay too long, but you get kicked out way too quickly. It feels less like a challenge and more like a way to force you to spend several in-game-days on the exploration to make it seem longer. In one minigame, I failed one because I reacted TOO quickly. On my laptop touchpad. The sex scenes: it's too soon to give a definitive opinion here, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to play future versions, but the sex scenes don't do it for me. The ones with Enna are kind of bland, and the ones with Moran are right at the border of consent. They were a little creepy at times, even though I was pretty confident she wanted it. And they wouldn't have been that great regardless. Overall, it was almost entirely unrewarding for me, and at no point did I really want to keep playing. So I'm not going to.

Coming from their previous game - MIST, this one is a huge disappointment, sure it's technically still not finished (I think so, I don't see a complete tag, so I have to assume it's not finished), not only do the girls are less attractive, there are absolutely no bulges, no cock growth, creampies aren't animated, there are very few actual penetration animations in the current scene. Big let down.

Renders are great, gameplay is atmospheric and rmeidns me of the best parts of MIST, though I REALLY wish dungeon/Veils had like 4 times the stamina/duration amount. Because getting kicked back and having to retrace steps kinda sucks. Even with rolling back to optimize my path I still had to cycle time and re-enter in excess of double-digits, and just getting back to continue every time got real boring real fast.

really enjoying it so far. it's on the slower side but that's good, at least for me. the character models look far better than on MIST. the story so far has been intriguing. the animations are also very well done, hopefully more are one the way. all the very best with this project
