Criminal Border 1st Offence
About Criminal Border 1st Offence
Criminal Border 1st Offence is a Japanese adult visual novel from Purple Software, built with the Others engine category and drawn with 2D CG art. You play Itsuki Ninomae, a male protagonist in a school setting who makes low-effort fan videos. After an accidental edit turns one clip into a digital hypnotism movie, he tests it on Rin Akinashi, a childhood acquaintance who always treated him poorly. Instead of simple revenge, Rin reveals a hidden side and suggests exploiting the effect for profit, pulling Itsuki into a morally questionable underworld. The story centers on school life and adult themes.
The current release is v1.0.1, dated November 14, 2023. As the first game of a four-part series, development is ongoing rather than complete. It runs on Windows and is available in English plus three additional languages. The game is censored. The latest changelog entry simply marks the initial release of Part 1.
Developer's description
A visual novel, first game of a four-part series. No one cares if a geeky loser like me exists or not... Itsuki Ninomae spends his time creating tacky fan videos that require no particular skill to make. One day, through a combination of coincidences, he accidentally creates a “digital hypnotism movie,” which has the power to send anyone who watches it into a trance. I wonder what’d happen if I showed it to the one who always looked down on me? A malicious urge possesses Itsuki. Itsuki succeeds in showing his video to Rin Akinashi, a girl he has known since his childhood. However, he also learns the secret hidden behind the straight-A student’s mask. Rin puts forward a proposal: “A lucrative business using digital hypnotism.” Wading into murky legal waters, Itsuki finds himself being swept away into an underworld that should have had nothing to do with him...
