About Crimson Chains

Crimson Chains is a 2D adult adventure RPG created by Grailight Workshop using RPG Maker. It presents 3DCG visuals as you play a Witch Knight who enters the Dark Tower, a shifting magical realm connected to ancient corruption and the fate of the world. The game frames its exploration as an RPG adventure with sandbox elements, and its themes include fantasy, corruption, and monster girls.

Development is ongoing at Alpha v0.1.3, released November 22, 2025 for Windows in English with no censorship. The latest build adds item, armor, and upgrade shops. It also corrects bugs that could block the Witch quest, prevent returning from the Forest stage, place the player out of bounds on the Forest's second floor, or send the player to random maps after leaving the Cave's third floor. Earlier fixes addressed a problem triggered by losing to slimes in the first boss room.

Alpha v0.1.3 Fixed an issue that prevented completing the Witch quest. Fixed an issue that blocked returning from the Forest stage.
