About Dark Forest

Dark Forest is an adult animated adventure made by Honey Hamika in Unreal Engine. It presents a fantasy setting where you play as an evil spirit. The spirit can possess objects and living beings, using those abilities to move through scenes and create mischief with people.

The current build is a demo released on July 24, 2023 as version v2023-07-24. It is not a finished game. It runs on Windows and offers English and Russian text, with no censorship. The latest changelog entry focuses on presentation fixes: it addresses translation issues and corrects incorrect text layout in some scenes. Earlier demo notes record a transfer to Unreal Engine 5, plus changes to UI, fonts, lighting, particles, and a GPU utilization fix.
