Deadland- Fallen Apartment

Everything about this game felt half-assed and disappointing to me. First, a pet-hate: I'm playing a porn game to jerk off. So making a game that requires two hands to play is an immediate dealbreaker, unless the scenes are infrequent and long. The gameplay is decent, but everything about it is very unpolished. Terrible sound-effects, unsatisfying animations. Looks, sounds and plays like a mid-tier flash game from 2006. My main issue with this game is the story. There isn't one. You start the game and you're just in the first room, no intro cutscene, not even a sentence of introduction. You are a girl in a room with a gun, here's a door, off you go. No characterisation at all - who is this girl, why is she here? What is her sexuality? Nothing. This makes the H-scenes themselves completely boring and uninteresting. The art is fine in isolation: passable Live2D animations, repetitive voice-acting, decently long without being excessive. But with no story or charactertisation, why do I care? It feels like playing a flash game where every few levels you are shown an unrelated sex scene before you can keep playing. There's a lewdness mechanic, but it doesn't seem to actually do anything. The gameplay and the porn are completely separate here. A sex scene with a zombie frankenstein vs a sex scene with the merchant vs a sex scene with the avatar of the god of destruction are all effectively identical (main character wearing lingerie on the bed getting fucked). The music that plays is totally random too. It all just felt like there was nothing behind it and failed completely to interest me in any way. After the first one I just mashed left-click to skip through them so I could keep playing, as the game wasn't arousing to me in the slightest even though the art was nice. Finished the game first try because the gameplay is simplistic and unbalanced and have no intention of playing again.

Game is alright. Average. The gameplay is a little slow and clunky feeling. A lot of time is spent in what feels like you're meandering about. Game needs a greater level of translation, too. The cg art is pretty damn decent. It carries the game. Very tasteful scenes. I enjoyed all the sexual elements to the game. Dev really put the effort in. Have fun gaming.

Thoroughly mediocre Vampire Survivors style game. Unlike other hentai games with this concept though, Deadland actually respects your time by not forcing you to play 15-30 minute rounds in between acquiring lewds. Rooms where you fight enemies either have you clearing out a set number of enemies, killing specific tough enemies, or surviving upwards of merely 2 minutes to progress. At certain rooms, you can trigger H scenes with the various NPCs you encounter. You'll be treated to a short animation scene, with decent artwork and animation. Shouldn't take you more than a couple of hours to unlock everything. Short, easy, and straight to the point, albeit not the greatest quality game out there.
