False Idylls is an RPG by Norza, made with RPG Maker and presented as a 2D game with 2DCG art. You play as an observer of the Hortimus family, a mother and her two daughters living apart from the world in a remote village of forests and farmlands. The story mixes romance, horror, and puzzle-solving as you explore maps, talk to characters, and use items. In a ruined future where the internet is gone and a century-long war has emptied the surface, the family's isolated life is threatened by absent relatives, strange storms, and unknown beings. Your choices decide whether they stay in their twisted intimacy or break through a false reality toward the truth.
The current build is version 0.4.4, released on September 4, 2026, for Windows, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. Development remains ongoing. The latest update adds one new Evette/Solace scene, refreshed map graphics, new interaction and unread-content indicators, more environmental objects, new facial expressions, and CG Gallery buttons for variations and UI hiding. It also fixes NPC spawn delays, repeated diary collection on Solace's route, basement boundaries, and map refresh behavior after events.

In a remote village surrounded by forests and farmlands, the mother of the Hortimus family and her two daughters live in isolation from the outside world, sharing a bond that is unspeakable to outsiders.
However, their peaceful life could be torn apart at any moment.
The internet has become a relic of the past. A war that has raged for a century has long since devoured the world. Most of humanity has moved to space colonies, while those left on the surface live under strict government control. Absent family members, unnatural storms, and unknown beings lurking in the dark are slowly closing in on their home.
As the player who observes everything, your choices will determine whether they remain trapped in this twisted intimacy, or shatter the false reality and step toward the unknown truth.
