About Far Beyond the World

Far Beyond the World is an adult furry fantasy visual novel by Echoes of Arcane, built in Ren'Py with 2D CG artwork. You play a human who wakes in a cabin in the woods with only faint memories of a previous life. The story follows him as he investigates his past, tries to build a new life with the Wolves of Avalan, and avoids their tribal politics. Romance and friendship shape the journey, while the player must weigh feelings against danger.

The current build is version v0.179, with ongoing development indicated by the latest changelog entry dated December 26, 2023. That entry adds Chapter 17. The game runs on Windows, Linux, Android, and Mac, is presented in English, and is uncensored. Earlier changelog notes include Chapter 16 and Chapter 14, so the release continues to expand the story rather than being a finished or demo-only package.

Developer's description

Far Beyond the World is an adult fantasy VN about a human lost in another world. "Wake up!" says the voice and you open your eyes in a strange cabin in the woods with only vague recollection of the life you've left behind. Despite appearances, you know that something isn't quite right. Set on an adventure, trying to piece together the puzzle of your past, as well as forge a new life among the Wolves of Avalan as you try to steer clear of their tribal politics. Your heart will be your compass, but can you trust your feelings when they're so easily clouded? Love can be both a boon and a distraction. Choose your friends carefully and your enemies more careful still. You had one life already… there might not be a third.
