About First Fire
First Fire is a Ren'Py adventure from First Fire Studios, using point-and-click choices and 2D AI CG art. It is set 300,000 years ago, when an early winter freezes the river, thins the herds, and leaves Tau's cave band dependent on a fire no one knows how to create. You play Tau, a restless young hunter trying to survive the cold, earn the band's trust, and grow close to women such as the fire keeper, a stubborn hunter-girl, a gossip, a widow, and a northern stranger. The game emphasizes romance, pregnancy, and teasing, with choices that can return later, a band shaped by hunger and rivalry, and an original soundtrack.
The current build is v0.1, released October 5, 2026. It is an English, uncensored game for Windows, Linux, and Mac. The v0.1 changelog lists the release of Chapter 1, The Early Frost, indicating that this is an early version and development is ongoing.

300,000 years ago, winter came early. The river froze before the leaves fell. The herds are thinning. And in the cave of Tau's band, every fire is the same fire: kept alive, carried from hand to hand for generations, because nobody knows how to make a new one. You are Tau, a tall, restless young hunter who sees what the elders miss. Survive the winter. Earn the trust of a band that is running out of time. Get close to the women around you: the fire keeper who knows every secret, the stubborn hunter-girl who wants a spear of her own, the gossip, the widow, the stranger from the north.
