Of Devotion and Despondence is a visual novel with heavy RPG elements that follows the journey of a man exiled to a shifting world, a place where humans are not expected to survive for long. It is written in first-person narrative, and tells an emotional story that focuses on mature prose, romance, and erotic scenes.

v 1.0.13: - Raven's TALK feature in the bedroom is finished! - Added 80+ lines of context-driven text, split between different positions. - Added 21 general moan sounds during fucking animations. - Added 10 moan sounds and a floating heart icon when clicking on Raven directly. - Added 115 voice lines! Raven's Bedroom Sex is now fully voiced! Clicking the TALK button will play a random comment based on the current position. You can also select specific comments in the right-side menu. If you prefer moans with no speech, you can click on Raven directly instead of using the TALK feature. v 1.0.12: - Added the Bedroom Sex system! Bedroom Sex unlocks based on story progression depending on the character, allowing you to enter the bedroom and have fun with them! This interactive system has seamless transitions between different actions and positions. This update adds Bedroom Sex for Raven, unlocking once you finish the main story. Raven's Bedroom Sex includes more than 70 new animations , including transitions, sex, anal, oral, handjob, titjob, cockplay, doggy, prone, and many cumshot animations. The "Talk" feature will make Raven comment based on the currently selected position. The current BETA iteration includes comments for 5 positions (front, spread legs, kneel down, turn around, lean back). Bedroom Sex for Dalena and Melrose are also planned for future updates. v 1.0.11: - Collection art upgrade! - Updated every single Collection card with higher quality art. This includes: 27 Common, 12 Elevated, 6 Legendary, and 3 Unique Cards. - Added the Aspect of Pranks! - Attempted to fix an engine-wide issue affecting all Ren'Py games. You can check this by pressing Shift + G) v 1.0.10: - Breeding time! Added a new girl event for Melrose after the main story is finished. All three main girls are now breedable! - Added 2 new animations! - Added a pregnant version for all of Mel's outfits. - Fixed a bug with incorrect breeding point calculations. - Fixed a bug with unintended outfit switching. - Adjusted a few goblin head items to be cheaper. Aspects of Progress and Serenity were remade completely. - Added a "Breeding" transition for each Aspect , showing their belly inflate and become pregnant. - Added a "Cumshot" animation for each Aspect. - Added a mouse scroll function to the Pantheon menu. - Added a counter that shows the number of bred Aspects. - Total number of new animations in the Pantheon is 64! (Plus 4 more for Aspect of Charity and Aspect of Kindness) - Vote result: Added the Aspect of Hoarding! - Added the Aspect of Kindness for the generous people who make game development possible! (Does not affect gameplay) New Aspects and challenges are coming in future updates! v 1.0.6: - Added 14 new animations! Dalena and Melrose sex scenes are now fully animated. Dalena: Evening Trust, Anal (5) Dalena: A Squatting Exercise, Sex (2) Melrose: First Contact, Titjob (3) Melrose: A Civil Discussion, Oral (4) - Updated the following animations with higher FPS versions: Melrose: Cleaning Duties, Sex (2) All adventure event animations that are not permanent locations (28) Note: Did some groundwork for the Pantheon's animated rework. Arriving soon (tm)! v 1.0.5: - Breeding time! Added a new girl event for Dalena after the main story is finished. - This also unlocks the pregnant version for all of Dalena's outfits. - Added 16 new animations! The Temple of Renewal is now fully animated. - Entirely new visuals for Session 4. - New animations have increased FPS. I will be going back to update existing ones in future patches. - Fixed a bug where breeding Raven didn't award a breeding point. - Fixed a bug where Dalena kept repeating her own name instead of saying 'Master'. - Fixed some typos. v 1.0.4: - Added Goblin transformations! Instead of the previous cosmetic bodyparts, now crafting items will unlock full-body transformations with a randomized rarity system similar to the collection cards. Each goblin transformation has a different passive effect - equip the one you like the most! - 12 Common, 6 Elevated, 6 Legendary transformations. - Unlocking a new transformation requires 5 Reagents spent, increasing by 3 each time until reaching the cap of 20 required Reagents. - Goblin now arrives around day 30 (reduced from 46). - Goblin crafting options are now named after the items they give in order to improve clarity. - Added 10 new animations! Goblin event one (4) Goblin event two (2) Centaur (2) Temple of Renewal: First Session (2) Class changes: - The Smith starts with 8 Gold Nuggets instead of 5. Also starts with 15 Reagents when the Goblin crafting system is unlocked. No longer starts with Ruby. Note: Gold Nuggets might be useful later down the line because one of the legendary Goblin transformations can scale PHYS with them. - The Architect now also gains 10 Essence when building a structure. - The Mercenary now gains 5 Essence after combat victories. - The Survivalist now starts with +40 max HP instead of 10. - The Arcanum now starts with 30 Shield and 20 Essence instead of 20 and 5. Also starts with 30 Reagents when the Goblin crafting system is unlocked. No longer starts with Diamond. - The Rhythmist now heals by 30% every even day instead of 25%. v 1.0.3: - Added a new girl event for Melrose! She comes to clean your room, you try to come in her pussy - with an unexpected turn at the end. - Added 8 new animations! Werewolf breeding (2) Scaley oral underwater (2) Goth oral on ship (2) Melrose erotic event (2) - Clicking "Continue" after the main story is finished now brings you back to the main base, allowing you to continue playing. - The ending event where you breed Raven can now be revisited in the player gallery. - Added a button to toggle normal and pregnant profile picture versions for residents after being bred (currently only available for Raven). - 5 new pregnant images for Raven. - Added a button to toggle event animations on and off, for those who prefer static images. - Added an icon for each profession during the end-of-day report to help with clarity. - Might have fixed a bug where Melrose's events immediately played the day after recruiting her. This was not intended, they're supposed to be spaced out with a few days in-between. Balance changes: - Slightly nerfed the damage/armor/HP of the earliest enemies (Trinity Arm, Claw Hand, Stalker, Portal Guardian). - Increased the chance to find the mining profession item "Zal'Rog" while the quest for the lizard woman is active (4% -> 16%). - Increased the essence you gain from the "Essence Winds" daily event: 5 flat + days passed divided by 3 -> 10 flat + days passed divided by 2. It should help a decent amount with lategame essence upkeep. - Doubled the essence you gain by smelting a few of the craftable Goblin items: Candycone, Spikeball, Stabilizer (from 1 -> 2). - Doubled the essence you gain by defeating the three dungeon bosses (now 30, 50, 100). Note: If you're struggling with essence, a good strategy is going for the lazy Raven build so she passively farms resources while not working, and then putting Melrose on foraging for the double dip. v 1.0.2: Hi, Earliestbird here. It's been a while for ODaD, hasn't it? Well, for some time now I've been quietly working on stuff that has been long overdue. One of the biggest criticism of the game has been the inconsistent art style. Some images looked plastic, while others — especially the later ones — had a more oil painting vibe going on. Now, the story kinda justifies a blurred face here or a missing finger there, but it can be very immersion breaking to go from a shiny 3D character looking chick to a cartoon landscape within the same scene. With this project, improved quality is not the main goal (though there will be PLENTY of that). What I want is a more-or-less uniform, consistent art style. Something that keeps everything nice and grounded. Oh, and animations. Lots and lots of animations. What this patch brings: - IMAGE UPDATES: Every single event picture - from persistent locations, to enemy encounters, to girl events - have been updated and in some cases, remade entirely. The improvements are massive if you look at the old versions and new versions side-by-side. - BETTER SEX SCENES: Erotic scenes in particular have seen a massive upgrade. Some are entirely different, while others kept the general composition but now actually look great. The mushroom scene is my favorite. - NEW OUTFITS MENU: All skins were remade. Not only that, but every skin has multiple animations like turning around, ass jiggle, and with room for extra outfit-specific animations in the future. Mel's Cowgirl outfit lactates for example. It's very juicy. - ADDED ANIMATIONS: 22 Sex animations: - Fog Anal (2) - River woman (1) - Ebony breeding (2) - Darkwing tower (2) - Herbs shopkeeper (2) - Strong & Mystic threesome (2) - City mercenary (2) - Mushroom hallucinations (2) - Statue piledriver (1) - Tiger girl (2) - Ebony pregnant (2) - Pirate anal (2) 33 Outfit animations: - 11 for Raven - 10 for Dalena - 12 for Melrose Other changes: - The adventure map screen now looks better. - Unmade battles in the dungeon now gives unmade kills for Aspect of War unlock. - Buffed the Rhythmist class (20% -> 25% Heal, 1 -> 2 Energy). - Increased resource costs of skill conversion from 20 to 100. - Diversified resource costs of girls' active talents. Where it was mostly metal and leather, now all 8 resource types are used for these purchases. - Animated main menu screen. - Slightly lowered the volume of buying talents. - In Residents screen, you can now close Active/Passive Talents by right clicking. - Temporarily disabled the "Arousing Dreams" daily event and the beta version of the text-based sex. Both of these things were way too undercooked to be anywhere game ready and I don't think anyone will miss them. When they come back, they'll be a thousand times better. - The images for the ending sequence remain the same for now. They were the most carefully crafted compositions I've done so far and they would take a lot of time to replace. They look pretty good too - though I'm still planning to update them in the future. - Note that some cumshots are placeholders until the animation is ready. I am making them with MAXIMUM STICKY LOADS in mind What you can expect later on: - New animations with every patch. The plan is to animate every single lewd encounter - and more! - The Pantheon aspects and the Collection cards remain unchanged for now. I want to update them too, eventually. - Combat screen improvements. - Building improvements. - New post-ending content (like breeding scenes for Dalena and Mel). This is the first patch of many more to come. Old save files should work in theory, but this is a big patch so things could break. Have fun! v 1.0.1: I heard your feedback loud and clear, so here's the first patch bringing you a proper breeding scene with our main girl, Raven! The sex scene can be chosen during the final scene of the Bond ending. I will also include scenes for Dalena and Mel at a later patch. - Breeding Raven! - Fixed a bug when using Divine Essence on The Constrictor didn't apply the 50% HP effect. - Fixed a bug that caused flickering on the combat screen. - Fixed a bug where the storm sound effects didn't stop in the main menu. v 1.0.0: 1.0 Release is here! Conclude the story with 3 DIFFERENT ENDINGS! The choice between two fates will be in your hands, and maybe if the storm proves too difficult to overcome, you'll see the third (secret) ending. Weather the final storm in a test of survival - or perish. - Added 2 main endings and 1 secret ending that concludes the story. - Added a final stretch of 12 days where the player's essence is being rapidly drained, with several events spread out during this time. - Added a new song. - Typo and image fixes. - Small balance changes. While the game might be completed, this is not the last patch . Updates will keep coming in the form of new events, visual upgrades, balance changes and bug fixes. v 0.2.19: - Added the next event for the main story! The battle with the Clay is upon us. - Added a new experimental feature that allows you to have sex with the 3 main girls! The text-based interactive system unlocks after Event 10 for Raven, Event 6 for Dalena and Event 3 for Melrose. - Added new combat music - Enemy balance changes - Item balance changes - Typo and image fixes v 0.2.18: - Added a new main story event; preparation for going after the Unmade! Plus some more Raven shenanigans. - Added jiggle animations for the first outfit for every resident. - Image visual updates/fixes. - Changed costs of resident active talents. - Combat balance adjustments. This includes an oral scene that may or may not interrupt a peaceful discussion with Dalena. - Added a new (original) song to the ingame playlist. - Adjusted music transitions in the Collection menu when revealing cards. - Combat balance changes. - Added a hint to visit Puxy to craft the Sextoy when failing the attempt. - Doubled the chance to find Zal'Rog (from 2% to 4%) when the quest is given. v 0.2.15: - Added the next row of adventure events , set in an underwater zone! - The 7 new locations include 2 erotic scenes (oral), two new enemies, and some setup for the story. - Added 6 new items. - Updated some images with better visuals. - Changes to character creation background and music. - Balance adjustments. - Typo fixes. Note: The girl-events related to the main story are coming soon, too! v 0.2.14: - Added 11 new narrator voice lines - ranging from girl events, to adventure events, to start-of-day lines. - Remade several images with better visuals (meeting Mel for the first time, Dalena first fight, Bonni erotic scenes, etc). - Added an alternate outfit for each Aspect in the Patreon game version. - Added another Resident skillbar color shade between blue and purple. - Added 2 new items (Drops from 3rd Dungeon, scaling with Wild and Mindful). - Added a new Main Menu theme song. - Fixed a bug that allowed repeating a mushroom event. - Typo and wording fixes. - (Background changes in the code regarding Achievements) Note: I've been working hard to release the game on Steam for a month now, only to be denied during the review process. It sucks, but it is what it is. Regardless, I am now going to focus all my efforts on advancing the main story. I already have 3 different endings in mind. But I'm getting ahead of myself; the underwater zone comes first v 0.2.13: - Added 2 new girl-events for Raven! It's time to have some fun with the white-haired tomboy. - Added narration! The first iteration of (Darkest Dungeon inspired) voice acting is now in the game - with Melrose being the perfect candidate to follow along with the player's journey. Currently 20 voicelines, I will continue to expand narration with future updates. - Added a new random daily event, Chemfusion Storm. - Fixed a crash related to the 5th Temple of Renewal event. - Fixed a bug related to some Dungeon Boss cards not being rewarded. - Small enemy balance changes. - UI fixes. Note: The VA brought lots of technical changes, so things may break. v 0.2.12: - Added three Dungeons! These are optional areas where you have to fight through a variety of enemies to unlock Boss cards. They contain no story elements - just opponents in your way and rewards to pick up! - Added 20+ new enemies with their own individual art. - Added 3 new unique Collection cards , one for each Dungeon Boss. - Added 5 new items. - Added the Aspect of Gravity. - Added pregnant version of Darkwing Tower vendor and Jolestia (the fairy) after breeding them. - Fixed some typos and image details. Note: This is only the first iteration of dungeons, I will be looking to improve them based on player feedback. Balance will need ironing out as well. v 0.2.11: - Added 2 new girl-events for Dalena! Sex with a main love interest comes with explosive force - 3 erotic scenes packaged in 2 events! - Added 2 new events in the Temple of Renewal! Help new sisters learn about the purpose of their various holes during classes. - Updated Aspect of Courage with entirely new visuals. - Fixed inaccurate goblin crafting prices. - Fixed a crash related to time variables (New/Old Rozan, Collection). - Typo fixes and description edits. - Small enemy balance changes. v 0.2.10: - Added an erotic event (furry) that can trigger after day 60 if the player has at least 200 Magnetic. - Added a new building , Heated Quarters: Pyre now burns 10 Wood for 4 Essence. +10 Defense for Residents. - Added an option before the 'Bandit Leader' fight to flee in New Rozan. - Added descriptions to the character creation screen. - Replaced resource names (Wood, Sap, etc...) with icons during most parts of the game. (Couldn't do it with traveling merchant due to technical limitations.) - Recolored some resource icons to look more distinctive from each other. - The 'Game over' screen now has a background image. - Constructed buildings no longer show their resource requirements. - Tried fixing the sync between Skirmish visuals and audio. (I have no idea why magnetic and impish need different timers to sync up.) - Added a link to my novel in the main menu, When Silver Burned. - Other visual fixes. Note: Another update compatible with games created in 0.2.8 or 0.2.9! I'll try my best keeping this up, unless a new major system is added/changed. The new resource icons may cause some bugs - a lot needed to be replaced. v 0.2.9: - Added 2 new erotic events for Puxy, the goblin alchemist! - Added a new erotic event to Strong & Mystic 's mercenary business in New Rozan. Includes new shopkeeper image. - Added a new erotic event to Lucina's Herbs and Remedies shop in New Rozan. Includes new shopkeeper image. - Updated some Raven pictures (Better face in event 2, petite girl is now more appropriately petite in events 2 and 5) - Fixed a bug that allowed the 'Diceroll' music to keep playing after the day ended, making two music tracks play at the same time. - Puxy screen updated with her replayable events. - Combat balance changes - UI fixes Note: This update should be compatible with games created in the previous patch, 0.2.8! v 0.2.8 Hotfix: Fixed the Raven event not triggering immediately after the ambush. v 0.2.8: - Added 3 new girl-events; two of which are connected between Dalena and Raven. It's time to make things official with the white-haired tomboy! - Added the Aspect of Expedition. - Added 5 new Collection cards (4 Common, 1 Elevated). - New X-Ray icon for bred Aspects in the Pantheon. - Resident Skills above 200 now have a purple colored bar instead of a regular blue one. - Updated several Raven pictures. This includes a few of her events and all her unlockable outfits. - Slightly adjusted Collection rarities (60% Common, 30% Elevated, 10% Legendary). - Buffed Arcanum class to start with 5 extra Essence. - Combat balance changes. - Added some tooltips for clarity. v 0.2.7: - A new girl joins the Mansion location; Jolestia, the fairy! She has two erotic events, and as you can probably guess, both of them involve some intense size-difference action. - Added 2 new adventure events , both erotic encounters! Heads up, one of them is furry. - Added a new vendor to Old Rozan , allowing you to respec Active and Passive combat talents. She also has an erotic event behind a skillcheck. - New items in the inventory are now marked by red "!" alert icons. - Replaced the "Pack of Materials" starting item with "Party Hat" (Which is otherwise an early item craftable by Puxy) - Increased the CHAR of the Rhythmist class by 1. (Felt a bit weak compared to the other classes.) - Slightly increased the armor of "Bandit Leader" (20 to 25) - Slightly reduced the armor of "Bandit" (20 to 15) - Slightly increased HP of later enemies if player has overleveled due to breedings from previous games. (+30 HP if player has 20+ Breedings) - Fixed a bug that would play music twice. If the bug is still there, a manual solution is to exit into the menu, which should reset the playlist. - Small UI fixes. - Gallery adjustments. Note: I upped the quality of all the new erotic events arriving this patch! It took a while, but moving forward I want to provide the best lewd visuals possible. At this rate, I might pick up some drawing skills from the amount of manual edits I end up doing. v 0.2.6: - Added a new event that introduces Puxy, the goblin alchemist! You should expect her to arrive on Day 46. - Puxy brings a new crafting system where players can use reagents to craft items for different bodyparts, unlocking new cosmetics for her in the process. - Reagents are gained passively. + 1 Green for every passed day, + 2 Blue for winning fights, + 1 Gold for each individual stat victory during skirmish. - 20+ new craftable items, including combat items that scale with player stats (such as Stoic or Impish). - Remade all 4 events in the Temple of Renewal , adding new images of penetration and updating the story where necessary. - Added the Aspect of Equilibrium, which requires the last Skirmish victory to be a tie. - Combat UI now displays player attributes. - Fixed a major bug where PHYS kept increasing every turn by 2 from the Bloodrush and Exposure passives. - Other combat fixes. - Fixed typos. v 0.2.5: Added music! This includes 11 background songs and 2 battle tracks that play during the game. - Changed Raven's Wild at Heart: +10 Wild if lower than 100, +5 Maximum Wild otherwise. - Shield Bash now deals 3 + FORT damage - Added a notification when trying to unequip a fused item. - Fixed typos - Visual improvements Note: Smaller patch - it should work with saves from the previous version, you can just ignore the warning pop-up. v 0.2.4: - Remade 4 sex scenes entirely with images of penetration! Also updated 2 other erotic events with slightly better visuals (Temple of Renewal remains unchanged for now). - Added a gallery for one-time erotic adventure events! Even if you make a choice that avoids the encounter, the visuals in the gallery will be unlocked. - Added 2 new Collection cards (increasing the total number of ingame combat talent points to 6) - Added 1 new Pantheon aspect; the Aspect of Heat. - Added 3 new active combat talents that cost no energy, but have a cooldown: Hunter's Mark: Mark a random enemy bodypart. Targeting the marked bodypart will have different effects based on the used skill, removing the mark. Using Parry on mark: Weaken the opponent's global damage by PHYS for 3 turns. Using Shield Bash on mark: Make the bodypart bleed for CHAR damage for 1+40% FORT turns. Using Rending Strike on mark: Apply a new mark on a random bodypart and restore 5 Shield. Meditate: Skip to the next natural energy restoration cycle. Restore FORT + CHAR leg armor. Crimson Rush: Damage your own HP by PHYS + FORT + CHAR. Gain 2 energy. - Further combat UI improvements - Increased skill check requirements, as they have become trivial due to power creep - Visual improvements (Raven outfits, cumshot effect during events, new bandit image in New Rozan, new bleed icon, etc) - Fixed an outfit screen related bug - Small dialogue and typo fixes Note: I heard your feedback, and the ability to respec combat talents is coming soon! You can also expect a lot more proper erotic scenes in the future. v 0.2.3: - Added Outfits! In the old Inspect screen, selecting different outfits will also change the girl's profile picture. - Selecting the naked outfit will also update the girl's physical description. - Combat balance changes: Rending Strike now deals 3 + 60% CHAR damage (earlygame buff, lategame nerf) Dodge now delivers a random 60% PHYS attack by default Changed Legionnaire passive to "Increase the damage of Shield Bash by 1 after every natural energy restoration." Replaced Fast Footwork passive with Red Rivers: "Using Dodge extends enemy bleed durations by 1 turn." Added new passive, Static Edge: "Cleave interrupts enemies about to armor up, restoring 3 Shield for each interrupted action." Added new passive, Scrap Metal: "Armor Up doesn't cost energy. Armor Up gains a 4 turn cooldown." Added new passive, Efficient Mixture: "Dazzling Display only costs 1 energy. Dazzling Display gains a 5 turn cooldown." Nerfed some early enemies, buffed later enemies. - Added several new sounds for different combat abilities - Major visual improvements for the combat screen (cleaned up HP bars, added floating damage numbers, etc.) - New effect for Raven's talent 'Wild at Heart': -10 Stoic, +10 Wild. If Stoic is greater than Wild, gain +20 Wild instead. - Changed Dalena's talent 'Battle Trance' to only convert Wild into Defense when Mindful is maxed out. - Nerfed Dalena's passive that increases the player's lowest skill every day to 1 - The legendary card 'Thorn Mother' now also gives a passive talent point. - Finding a profession item now shows the item's full name - Adjusted Skirmish scaling - Patreon game version now has some extra cosmetic goodies (Aspect of Charity, cumshot version of the naked outfits) - Fixed up some images (Raven profile pic smaller head, more visible nips) - Fixed Shield Bash not interrupting enemy armor-up - Fixed some typos and descriptions v 0.2.2: - Added 3 new girl-events for Melrose - which includes the first erotic scene between the MC and a main love interest! - The Pantheon is now persistent between games (starting with your next run). Breedings gained from them will also carry over to freshly unlocked Collections! - Aspects you have already bred this way can be viewed from the start, before the Pantheon is unlocked. - Buffed the Architect and Survivalist player classes (Architect gains 3 skillpoints when building, Survivalist starts with +10 max HP) - Cleave and Blade Flurry now deal 60% Attack Damage (previously 100%) - Replaced Piercing Strike with a new skill, Rending Strike - Strike an enemy bodypart, making them bleed for CHAR damage for the next 3 turns. - Buffed later enemies (mostly their armor, damage remains unchanged) - Visual fixes - Dialogue and story polish Note: For the first round of balancing changes, I mostly left enemies alone. I'm hoping to bring pure PHYS builds in line with FORT and CHAR, and then we'll see what needs to be changed to make combat feel challenging, but fair. v 0.2.1: - A complete rework of the combat system! Each bodypart is now protected by Armor (both for the player and the opponent), and there's a much higher emphasis on deciding which bodypart to target. Every 3 turns the player recovers energy, so there will always be decisions to make no matter how long the fight goes on. There is more variety in opponent actions, and several player abilities to unlock. - Added a player skilltree! Use Talent Points to unlock new active and passive combat abilities. From old moves such as Cleave or Parry, to new powerful skills like Steel Explosion and Blade Flurry, there is a lot to play around with. - Replaced the ARCA attribute with FORT! Short for Fortitude, FORT gives 3 Armor for each bodypart, and scales some abilities. Although mostly a defensive attribute, there are ways to make your opponent hurt with it. It's also a better fit for the main character from a story perspective. (But don't worry, magic is not gone. It now mostly revolves around items and Shielding.) - Remade the inventory system! The old "offensive, defensive, ornament" system got replaced by "head, chest, legs, weapon, ornament". So yes, that means 2 new item slots to equip at the same time. The inventory also received many visual improvements, like duplicates not cluttering the screen anymore, and nice little icons for equipped item types. - Added starter Classes! At the start of the game, players will be able to choose between several classes (with room for more in the future). From the Smith who makes use of the fully upgraded smelter right away, to the Rhythmist, juggling the days and his HP bar. Decide how you begin each game you play. - Added lots of new items, and changed many existing ones. - Added 1 new building. - Added 3 new Collection cards (1 Common, 1 Elevated, 1 Legendary). - Remade all of the Collection cards, making their artwork much higher quality. - Added 1 new Aspect for the Pantheon, the Aspect of Style. - Completely replaced the images for 2 Aspects (Divination and War). - Skirmish now has more flat difficulty and less scaling (harder earlygame, easier lategame). - Increased base game volume. Hopefully it's no longer too quiet. - Lots and lots of visual improvements. New Main Menu background, better base background, cleaner UI elements, etc. - Um, there might be more stuff I can't remember. I've been working on this update for a very long time now. Note: Balance will be truly and utterly fucked. I didn't have time to test a lot of things, especially enemies later on. So please, voice your feedback (forums, discord, reviews, Patreon) so I can fine-tune the game until it becomes a perfect middle ground between easy and hard. Also, expect bugs. As for more events for the main love interests, they are coming. Mel is the biggest priority right now, but the story is entwined between them all. v 0.1.16: - Added the next row of adventure events: Learn more about the plans of the Unmade, settle a feud between a redheaded captain and a dangerous wyrwolf, or just have some (not so) peaceful fishing time! 7 new locations, 3 erotic scenes, and multiple images of actual penetration - which is something I intend to have more of moving forward. - Added an option to show Player Skills during adventure events. - Cheat Start is now split into two options: Cheat Resource gives 200 of each resource, and Cheat Combat gives enough attributes to make combat trivial (30 PHYS, 30 ARCA, 10 CHAR) - Changed the Aspect of Obsession requirement to the following: "The *two* highest Player Skills must be higher than all other Player Skills combined." - Added some new items to the game. - Added text that provides guidance in New and Old Rozan to let players know how to proceed - Increased Skirmish scaling and flat difficulty - Red Lock of Hair now gives 4 to lowest skills, down from 10 - Gods' Humility now costs 100 resources, up from 50 - Players start the game with 1 additional 'Food Rations'. - Balance changes for Dalena's Passive Talents (more Defense, less Player Skills) - Made some fixes for two Raven outfits (Enhance the butt!) v 0.1.15: - Enhanced almost all ingame images to look better, giving them a near-uniform artstyle! This includes adventure events, Resident profiles and events, enemies, persistent locations, juicier cumshots, and more. - Added 1 new event for the Temple of Renewal. In addition, images for this location have been replaced entirely. - Added 3 new Aspects for the Pantheon. These are the Aspect of Dracona, Aspect of Progress, and Aspect of Unity. (Because everyone needs a steampunk waifu in their lives:] - Resident outfits can now be viewed in the new 'Inspect' screen. The naked versions unlock based on event progress with the girls - this will be finalized for Dalena and Melrose as they receive more events. - Fixed a visual bug that showed multiple of the same item equipped. - The above bugfix also comes with a new mechanic that increases the daily fusing loss by 1 for each duplicate you have of an item. - Reduced the the armor of the 'Worker Tree' opponent. - Fixed the non-bred version of Aspect of Glory having white edges instead of transparent ones. - Small UI fixes Note: I'm making steady progress with the next row of adventure events, as well as new events for the residents. The story itself is crucial to get right and not something that should be rushed. While those things come along, I'm happy to add more sexy content where I can. v 0.1.14: Added Passive Talents for the residents! Every girl has a different skilltree, some of which may completely change the way they function. From Raven skipping work, to Dalena using her martial prowess to help with professions, and to Melrose messing around with skillpoints, they each bring something unique to the table. - Added 3 new Pantheon Aspects! These are the Aspect of Divergence, Aspect of Gluttony, and Aspect of Hunt. - Opening the 'Memories' tab now shows the number of girl events currently in the game. - Slightly increased Skirmish base difficulty - Added an optional ' Auto-Clean ' function to the Pantheon - Added a ' Show Original ' button to bred Pantheon Aspects - Reduced the Pantheon breeding cooldown to 5 days (from 10) - Doubled the 'Traveling Merchant' daily event chance to occur - Dalena's Talent 'Honorbound' now gives 5 Player Stoic instead of 10 - Melrose's Talent 'Future Lessons' no longer reduces Visionary if maxed out (bug) - Fixed the Aspect of Fertility base image (aka. been given a proper set of panties) - Fixed a crash that happened when using 'Tricklash' when almost all of Raven's skills were maxed out - Fixed a bug that made it so that players wouldn't get a Collection reveal after a breeding - Small UI adjustments and variable changes Note: The Passive Talents do a variety of new stuff, so I expect there will be quite a few bugs to squash. Feel free to break the game and then tell me about it so I can fix it v 0.1.13: Breedable Achievements! (aka. The Fap Patch) The Pantheon is here! Discovered in Old Rozan, this place will not only serve as the game's Achievements system, but will also allow you to unlock bred versions of twenty (and more coming) different Aspects. You'll also be able to cum on each of them not once, not twice... but three times . That's right. Twenty sexy women, each with a preg version and three cumshot stages. - 2 new girl events for Dalena. - A fresh new frame for the Collection cards! - The 'Training Tools' building is now much cheaper - During professions, increased the flat resources gained for Wood, Stone, Bone and Hemp (previously 1 to 6, now 4 to 6) - Reduced essence gained for smelting some later items - Skills are no longer increased by failing Skill Checks. I made this change so that players are not tricked into 'grinding' Skill Checks anymore by failing them. Instead, if the requirements are not met, players should explore other areas and return later. Also with the new skillpoints added last patch, every Skill Check in the game should be much easier to pass. - Added a visual indicator for when players have a Collection reveal available - The "Skip" button on the adventure screen now only appears after day 10 - Fixed a bug where some variables were defined twice v 0.1.12: Major gameplay update! - New (experimental) gameplay mechanic: Skirmish! The base now gets attacked every 20 days, challenging the main character and his girls in every stat. At least 3 victories out of 6 are needed to win the Skirmish, receiving skillpoints to spend among the MC and the residents as a reward. Defeat will take away some resources (NOT Essence), but don't worry - losing a Skirmish will never result in game over. - Added Active Talents! Spend resources to modify and augment the skills of residents in interesting ways. Active Talents are unlocked by building 'Living Quarters'. - The player and residents start with 10 skillpoints to spend by default. - New skill graphics for the residents screen. Girl skills now have a maximum limit of 100 by default. - The Dice have fallen. The first event where the MC struggles with his depression is now in the game. - Added new random daily event: Traveling Merchant (can appear from day 50) - Added the option to show resources during events. - Changed the "Accident" event to only appear after 25 days have passed (previously 5) - To reduce early grinding , the day 2 'Cellar' event now gives more resources. Resources gained from the repeatable adventure events were also greatly increased. - Increased the cost of some buildings (Essence Nets, etc) and reduced the cost of some other buildings (Smelter, etc). - Slightly increased the game's base volume. - Searching in cities is now twice as fast. - Added a notification if New Rozan discounts are already active (they cannot be stacked) - New visuals for tutorials. - Fixed some tooltip display bugs. - Added the Credits screen! Patreon supporters now get recognition ingame. Love you guys <3 Note: There's a few things to address about Skirmish. 1) Balance is highly subject to change - feedback is everything. Please let me know what you liked, disliked, and what changes you think would make this feature a better experience. 2) You are not supposed to win every Skirmish. Sometimes it's better to accept defeat ahead of time and mitigate the resource loss by spending as much as you can beforehand. 3) Skirmish was designed with Active and Passive Talents in mind, but Passive Talents are not in the game yet. I'm working hard to make this a reality as soon as possible. v 0.1.11: A revision update that addresses a large amount of player feedback! - Revamped / expanded the intro at certain places to flesh out the main character more . Some adventure events that touch on the main storyline also received this treatment. Added 2 early girl events for Raven , pacing out the growth of the relationship more. Also made small changes to already existing girl-events, including a new picture for 'The Unfortunate Shed'. Continued Raven's story with 1 new girl event , told from her point of view. - Added the first girl event for Dalena. Also changed her name to Dalena - Added 1 new erotic event in the mansion with Bonni the vampire. - Changed multiple images for Raven, including her profile icon. Fixed several early pictures with major AI weirdness going on . Added new cumshot pictures for early erotic events. - The save menu can now be accessed during the intro. v 0.1.10: Big update coming through! - Added 6 new adventure events! From a vampire mansion to a sticky-slimy cave, these new places also contain 3 erotic events to feast your eyes upon. - Added the third recruitable main love interest: Lady Melrose! Once reached, the lovely oracle will finally be ready to settle in her new home. - Added 1 new girl event for Raven , shedding more light on a main story line. - Added Cheat start! If you've already played enough and just want to quickly rush to where you previously left off in the story, this will boost your resources and character stats to pretty much trivialize the gameplay. - Changed some character descriptions. - The first encounter with Mel has a different picture now (Boob size buffed - Raven's girl-events are more spaced out. - Small UI fixes. - Typo fixes, as is tradition. v 0.1.9: - The Collection is here! Acting as a breeding minigame, players can reveal a random card from the collection for every impregnation. Not only are these cards nice to look at, but they also provide various bonuses based on rarity ( Common, Elevated, and Legendary ). The collection unlocks in New Rozan when you acquire the Mirror of Spirits. Note: I'm aware right now there are only about 5 breeding events in the game. The plan is to add more and more with new updates until it's possible to unlock most of the collection. - Changed the appearance of D'Alena - Fixed the Old Rozan unmade fight not increasing the " Unmade Killed " stat. - Small enemy stat adjustments - Fixed typos v 0.1.8: - Added 2 new events to New Rozan - with the last one at progress 10 opening the way to the old city! - Added a new persistent location, Old Rozan - Explore repeatable and other events in the ancient floodlands! - Added 1 new event that leads out of the city and sets the stage for a new main plotline - Added 6 new items - The game now has a main menu theme! - Added an option in preferences to show player HP during events and adventure - Changed the intro picture of New Rozan - Greatly reduced the chance of 'Strange Echoes' event happening. Also reduced the effect it has on skills - The 'Training Tools' building is now recommended for early construction - Changed the 'X' icon next to equipped items to only show when fusing is 0 (and it can be unequipped) Hotfix: Added the ability to skip unseen text in preferences - now catching up to your old save should be much quicker and easier! - Fixed the broken tooltips Note: Don't know why the RenPy build distribution broke the tooltips, so I'm back to doing it manually. v 0.1.7: - The first iteration of daily random events is in! - Added 4 random events , each with about 7% chance to occur on day end (Including a conditional event when someone is mining) - Increased essence looted from early enemies (again) - Changed the city exploration "progress" value to be capped out when all non-repeatable events have been completed (currently 10) - Added tooltips to resources - Added a stat that tracks how many Unmade the player has killed - Fixed game crash after clicking "...asked about my purpose" during the portal event. - Fixed Heart-Hold price and a bug where the player could heal infinitely without equipping the item - Fixed a bug that displayed a message that a profession item was found - Fixed stat headers highlighting - Fixed some typos - Also uuuhh, the 'Collection' button was not supposed to do anything yet. Fixed Note: Rolled out this quick update to address the bugs. Also I used a new method of build distribution, so hopefully things won't break. v 0.1.6: - A large amount of UI improvements and overhauls! - The character screen has been updated, and now includes a page that displays various stats . - The combat screen has been remade with improved visuals and more QoL (like enemy bodyparts highlighting on hover) - The adventure screen 's text and icons have been replaced, with persistent locations having their own distinctive icons. - Updated several other screens such as yes/no prompts, preferences, save and load menu, residents stat menu, etc. - Added a hidden (Magnetic) event to the tower trader. - Added more dialogue to the oracle portal event. - To bring ARCA lategame more in line, each enemy bodypart now has a maximum of 5 instability (so 15 total) - Passive healing can now heal to full HP - Fixed some typos - Item balance changes (Heart-Hold now heals 20 instead of 25, but is significantly cheaper) - Adjusted several background variables for future use (Maximum HP, Bonus Shield, etc) v 0.1.5: - Added 3 new adventure events. - Visit a new persistent location, the city of New Rozan ! - Added 3 new enemies - Added ~16 new items - You can now smelt duplicates of equipped items - Added further groundwork for the Collection (still in development) - Small enemy adjustments - Small event text adjustments - Main menu UI adjustments Note: Sorry for the slower updates, life has been happening, plus my ancient dinosaur of a PC keeps making weird noises. v 0.1.4: Added the Smelter , where you can break down your items and gain essence for them. - Added new buildings that help with essence upkeep (mostly intended for the later stages of the game). - The game now can be saved anywhere outside of combat. - Fixed a bug that allowed shield to go over the maximum shield amount (which is 5 shield per 1 ARCA) - Fixed an error that appeared if D'Alena was not recruited during Raven's 5th event - Fixed some tooltips - Added "Anal" warning to the fog encounter - Greatly increased essence gained from enemies. - Changed some building costs. - Very slight adjustments to enemy stats. Note: I'm still working hard on the next row of adventure events - which will include at least one persistent location (a city), as well as some new mechanics (collectibles, anyone?). If things go according to plan, at least. v 0.1.3: Lots of quality-of-life changes! Raven's story continues! Added 3 new girl-events for Raven. Added "Memories" to the residents page! Acting like an event gallery, you can now revisit the story of each girl. Added support for custom player names. Since this is a very story-focused game, I hope this feature will be used seriously... instead of naming yourself something like xXx_AnalBlaster_xXx. - Added "Back" buttons to several screens. For those who prefer using RMB, these buttons can be hidden in the preferences menu (Ps.: I like having a clean UI, what can I say). - Added "Skip" button to the adventure screen - Added "Test" button to the sound options - Changed "End Day" button to "Proceed" - Fixed some typos - More UI adjustments - Adjusted advanced building costs to account for the previous profession buffs. Note: This patch I also worked on setting up the random event system under the hood. There will be positive events (essence winds, traveling merchants), negative events (floodings, accidents) and whatever else me or the community comes up with in the future. v 0.1.2: Make sure to delete the previous game version to avoid errors. Also start a new game, old saves are unlikely to work. Added the next row of adventure events. Explore 6 brand new locations. Added the second recruitable girl, D'Alena! You will find her on the western part of the map... but be prepared for a fight. Added the Temple of Renewal, a persistent location that will be centered around breeding and pregnancy. There are currently 3 events available in the temple, with more planned in the future. Added 2 new buildings. These structures focus on the player character, increasing daily health gain and slowly raising player skills. - Outpost is now required for every other building to unlock. - Fixed some skipping issues during combat. - Screen and UI adjustments. Daily essence drain is no longer random. It has been drastically reduced, staring at 1 and increasing by 1 every 10 days. - Daily essence drain damage increased to 30 (from 20) - "Bird location" Skill Check reduced to 20 (from 25) New F95 tags added: Groping, Handjob, Lactation, Male Domination, Oral Sex, Pregnancy, Spanking, Vaginal Sex, Religion A note going forward: The game will feature a lot of cumplay. Unfortunately there's no cumplay tag on F95, otherwise I would tag the game with it. Twice. v 0.1.1: - Pyre: A new building that allows the burning of wood to create essence (3 to 1). - Raven's story has begun! Added the first 2 girl-events for Raven, one of which also provides more information about the world. - Added more names to choose from. - At the trader, there's now a message telling the player if he doesn't have enough essence to purchase an item. - Fixed some skipping issues. Hopefully it won't catapult the player to the main menu anymore, or mess up the screens... hopefully. - Fixed sharing the appdata save folder with Brothel King (the game I learned programming on). Uh, kind of an oversight on my part. - Greatly increased the amount of essence gained from Claw-Hand and Portal Guardian opponents. - Increased materials gained from professions. Common material gain (wood, stone, bones, hemp) is now 1-6 (from 1-4), Rare material gain (sap, metal, leather, essence) is now 1-3 (from 0-2). - Nerfed Claw-Hand life and damage (life reduced by 15, arcane resist reduced by 1). - Adjusted Stalker damage (min damage increased by 2, max damage reduced by 2). v 0.1: Initial release

Very nice story and nice art - quite under rated in my opinion. You need to take the time to immerse in the story but then it's very nice ! Would really recommend giving it a try ! Would be fantastic with a bit more interaction and visual though.

Firstly this is a text based game made in renpy. It is not a visual novel. The style remains consistent, however the ai animations look terrible (Just look at the banner picture). Wouldn't have minded to just have an option to turn off images in general. Pros: A unique battle system. Simple but different to just click to attack. Story remains consistent. It's a very weird world that seems tailored for all the bukkake animations, but it's at least interesting. Linear. After all the numerous games I've played, I like how this game has a MC with personality, because this lets the dev not have to complicate the game. Different classes to make different builds. Cons: Only 3 LI's. That is very small. Option to bang encounters though. Stat thresh holds. Content is locked behind until your stats get high enough and you will need very very high stats. Ai...no getting around it. Ai will always be frowned upon

Absolutely amazing game (probably one of the best with AI CGs). The lore is absolutely epic and otherworldly, the combat system is very interesting, and the RPG gameplay is very enjoyable (It puts a lot of pressure on me but ultimately can cope). I love how the game interacts with the philosophical question of existence, and how love is above existence itself. I think AI is involved with scripting, but it actually makes the game much more enjoyable since nearly all indie developers write scripts worse than AI.
Rudrig 2026-04-03
The gameplay is easy, yet captivating, the battles are not too difficult, but still need quick thinking, the images are deliberate and consistent, the developer resolved the occuring problems with great care, overall a very good experience.

This is insanely good. The game is kinda unintuitive, but you get used to it quickly. My only problem with the game is: It feels a little too much "bukkake" focused. Even the scenes where you "cum inside" or similar, there is still a gigantic cum splatter coming from above. Especially in conjunction with the pantheon breeding: It'd be nice to have more of the "cumflation/breeding" where it's more about the filling than the glazing.
anonymousfapper5 2026-03-09
this is not the patreon version so minus 4 stars regarding the game iteself, it is very story heavy with some nonsensical direction and to be honest, not very believable even within the confines of the universe. the game is sparse and honestly should just be a visual novel instead of adding subpar mechanics and call it a game

5/5 game Every Review for the finished game that is 1/5 is a review bomb for using AI or someone who tried to speedrun the game to see some tiddies and got bad ended for being a gooner. Game is well paced, sometimes you fail an optional stat check and go back home without progress for the day. I think there are 3 hidden stat checkpoints in the game that have minor punish for fail. Game is about 15 hours total to 100% . Combat system is pretty cool and you can only really stat-check brute force hard enemies with a specific weapon+goblin strategy combo. Only complaints are really a minor; one, with end of day events at the end of the game being a bit too brutal in setup for post-game. two, navigating between residents to do training is too many clicks, would be slightly better to just do it in one, but I understand the technical limitation to what the navigation is doing.

Terrible game, based on simple and poorly written text, with no depth whatsoever. I still haven't decided whether it was written by a lazy AI or an even lazier creator. All of this accompanied by photos and videos that anyone can generate with a click and a basic prompt. I don't understand the rating of this game and I prefer not to think badly. Don't waste your time.
redlupa 2026-01-29
I have no idea how this game got the high ratings. Maybe it's just not for me. All I saw was endless wall of texts with some lazy AI slop sprinkled in between. First time I'm finding myself yawning in a porn game. Boring.

I've just finished build 1.0.8 and decided to write a few words about this game. Technically, it's a text-based role-playing game with a turn-based combat system and graphical content created using AI. Of course, it's based on Python, so don't expect miracles. The even greater surprise is the EXTREMELY HIGH overall build quality ! Seriously, the first impression is very good – the game has a well-thought-out layout, the main gameplay window evokes associations with the best RPG classics created in the Infinity Engine, and, if we're considering newer titles, with Pillars of Eternity 2. It's important to be clear – the interface and gameplay window are truly top-notch, and other developers of games for adults should take a leaf out of "Of Devotion and Despondence." When it comes to graphics and animations, I suppose they represent the current standard for generative AI, meaning it's anatomically relatively correct and the facial appearance is finally starting to differentiate instead of attacking with an army of not-so-nice clones... The animations are smooth and quite sensible - although there are some funny glitches (I think), overall it's good, some animations can be pleasing to the eye. The plot - well, there's no need to spoil it, so I'll just say it's okay, although reading about a world without men is a bit tired - it's high time that the developers of adult game scenarios set in fantasy worlds came up with something better The game is quite long and - rich in content. We have an unusual world map, a handful of NPCs - including helpers for the MC, there's a system of collectible cards that not only look good but also give specific bonuses, so you want to explore them - and this isn't the only collecting aspect of "Of Devotion and Despondence", so - there is simply LOT TO DO. There's also a lot of text, it's quite interesting and again - technically well presented. We have choices that influence the plot and the game world, and finally, we have a system for gathering resources and the ability to manage them. There's also a system for developing the MC and helpers, and progress is felt both in combat (very strongly!) and in moments when the game tests skillchecks. Heh - there is even a system of random events that have positive or negative effects. ! In summary, this game is a quite competent role-playing game that has everything you could ask for in this type of game. It's also exemplary, so playing it was a pleasure. The use of AI to generate graphical content will likely put off some players, but unnecessarily. The AI still has its flaws, and the final effect can be grotesque and terrifying. However, in "Of Devotion and Despondence," it works (for the most part) quite well, and this game shouldn't be written off solely because of the AI tag. My final rating is 4.5/5, which I can round up to a full 5 due to the quality of the layout and the enjoyment I had playing it.
Lurked&Looded 2026-01-18
Review of 1.08 after a few runs, seeing almost all scenes, and getting a good ending. As someone who normally thinks games that use AI-gen content are mid at best, I feel that this game is...actually pretty good. I mean, I will never pay actual money for AI-generated content on principle, but I could see myself supporting this game's development if it weren't. The story is that you are a guy tossed into a world filled with women (monstrous or otherwise) who all want that D...who may literally succ you to death if you're not careful, and even if they don't, the world itself will literally succ you dry. Your goal is to reach the end of the run without suffering the deadly succ. Which involves a sort of pseudo-roguelike system where you go into and clear events, many of which are dictated by stats. A lot of resource management in this one. Essence is not only your currency, but your macro HP, since if you run out of Essence, you die. Assorted resources like wood and bones have uses, like burning in the smelter for essence, trading at merchants for services, building structures for your base, etc. Opportunities to get resources are limited at first, but as you acquire more allies you can set them to work on gathering things while you're off gallivanting around the world. Combat...exists, I suppose. It's a lot of thinking and DPS testing, and maybe a little RNG. Once you get Parry, Dodge, some other skills, and the right gear, it becomes a breeze. Overall, not something that I would say is completely awful and throw out the window. But there's a lack of replay value that, combined with my usual disinclination to AI, kinda leaves me lukewarm to the idea of doing anything more once I finish the game. Tl;dr, The Good Surprisingly compelling storytelling that I may or may not be willing to play even without the seggs. Major customization options when it comes to builds, both for yourself and your allies. Cheats are available for those who aren't good at resource management and/or have already played this game a bunch and just want to see some of the newer content. The Bad Some of the stat checks are absurd to all hell, and some of them are even mandatory for game progression. There is no feeling quite so hamstringing as spending several in-game days if not weeks stuck in the same areas trying to grind out the stats needed to pass the checks because you burned all the other events and the early game is complete hell. Your runs WILL end eventually, even if you get a good ending. There's a daily Essence drain mechanic that kills you if you run out, and it escalates over time. Whether you choose to cheat or not, eventually the drain will be such that you WILL die. Gacha mechanics on the progeny and the goblin alchemist transformations. They are completely randomized, and the progeny's passive effects cannot be turned off even if they come with debuffs like reduced max HP. The only silver lining here is that the system is designed to never give duplicates. The Debatable AI art tag is there for a reason. Also add in that the music and the voice acting have that funky feeling you only get when the content is AI-generated. Normally I would put this under "the Bad", but weird voices aside the content is decent-ish. Pregnancy tag is there for a reason. There is a MAJOR emphasis on breeding/impregnation in a chunk of the lore, dialogue, and of course the H-content. If you're not a fan of seeing women with bellies bulging after taking a big ol plapful of jizz, look elsewhere. A good chunk of the content is jizz being splashed onto women in a upper/full-body bukkake, so it may or may not be your thing. Some of the ally costumes and scenes are locked behind a patreon paywall. Not a lot of it, but enough to be noticeable. Some of the Aspects are locked behind a paywall, though they're explicitly stated to have no effect on gameplay.

I don't like AI-generated images but have to admit that dev has done proper prompts while making this game. Anyway, the storyline is the best thing here. Grinding is also not bad, as well as gameplay itself. And I was going to give this game a 5 star until I get to the end. The writing is really well but man, you're making a porno game! These endings would be perfect for a novel or usual VN. So strict 4 stars and my recommendation for playing this game. P.S. I played ver. 1.07 in Android, there's a problem with text reading - it's too small. I suspect it is much better on PC
StingerWolf 2026-01-05
Great visuals, very engaging and deep writing, great characters. I love the battle system, it is a really fleshed out game and deserves every praise. I am NOT a fan of AI art, but this one is really good. The only issue I see comes from exactly the AI part, models in interactions and lewd scenes are inconsistent, a trait of AI, that is hard to solve, I know. Still, an outstanding game with very frequent small updates. Many devs could take its update cycles as an example to follow.
JRelengod 2025-12-08
I didn't really get this one. The art is good for AI stuff and the animations are nice but the writing is just too florrid and verbose, on top of that the UI feels very clunky and the actual crafting and whatnot is just more annoying than it is engaging. Still I appreciate the effort put in here and I hope to see the dev improve in their next project.
Catwashere 2025-12-04
One of the best games i have played, great story and characters only issue small text hard to read. This is a must play as it had everything you should like/want in a game. Art renders. 9.5/10 Sex. 9.5/10 needed more sex and anal Animations. 8.5/10 good but not great Characters. 10/10
Downward_Spiral 2025-11-26
Five Stars for many reasons... 1. This is a GAME not a VN 2. There is a plot and dialog that pulls you in and drives choices 3. Graphics and hot talk are over the top fun 4. Its is COMPLETE with satisfying endings 5. It is INCOMPLETE with the Dev going back and continuing to add polish (cum, typo/bug fixes, standardizing images/animations, more cum, more scenes, even more cum) 6. There is a reasonable progression and the game mechanics are well thought out. For me, this is the 2025 Naughty Game of the Year.
Magic_D 2025-11-21
This game could only be worse if the controls didnt allow you to use your mouse. Just an absolute novel at every turn; Go collect resources in the field, and it gives you about 5 paragraphs of flavour text, before you pick collect wood, stone or hemp Every encounter is several pages of text its just beyond a joke. The start is bad all by itself, pick skills and talents and items for your character while having no knowledge of the world. I must have skipped past 2,000 words, after reading 1,000 then getting bored senseless. I've only seen one nude still image. I did have hope that with base building elements, combat and resources that this game had depth worth exploring but it seems like the dev ran every simple task through an AI word generator to pump out as many words as possible for the most mundane boring task. I'm here to wank not improve my words read per minute Absolutely the juice here is not worth the squeeze.

This game shows what the potential of AI art can be. This is not a statement on whether that is a good or bad thing, just an observation based on the implementation of AI art in this game. I like text based games to a certain extent. I am quite picky, I can admit. I don't like purely text based games. Having gamified portions to give more interaction draws me in more. I still want some art for better visualization, and I definitely want art of characters. My main issue is that frequently they do not have a coherent or unified art direction. Sometimes they'll pull from existing art, or they'll commission multiple artists, which leaves images very disjointed because the same character may have multiple different interpretations. For me, personally, it is distracting and takes away from the experience. While I do not need animated scenes, it certainly is a plus. Enter Of Devotion and Despondence. It is a largely linear text based story with a gamified 'RPG' system for character upgrades, base unlocks, and party progression. Each of its systems are individually simple, and they overlap nicely to give a good game experience while still being a text based story adventure. Most importantly, it's use of AI art is in a manner in which characters are recognizable and largely very consistent, on top of being able to have some animated scenes which gives the characters and world a cohesive aesthetic that can be difficult to find in some games. The writing is pretty good; it isn't overly superfluous nor is it too short and brusque. The setting is reasonably unique and portrayed well, with enough depth to be engaging and curiosity provoking. There are sections that can be very grindy because stat upgrades and material farming can take some time, but honestly its very easy to hit a point where you massively outpace resource usage and stat checks. This game hits most of my preferneces for a text based game, only missing out on depth of gameplay and overall world interaction that you may find in larger, more complex text based games. Now, more about the divisive AI usage. I do not think that AI art itself is a problem, I think its potential usage [as with many things] is the issue. When it comes to game development, while I do prefer custom art, I still would rather have AI art then none [or very crude] at all given that the AI art is consistent in character portrayal. I personally think this is one of the ideal uses for AI art in a game. It is essentially a text based story that then had AI art added to it for an extra layer, as opposed to a game that intentionally used AI assets or replaced a custom art system with AI generated art. The AI art is an accompaniment, not the main the course. In a sense, I think text based games are probably the best use of AI in gaming because the engagement is supposed to primarily be the story that you are reading with the art to help visualize, and as I mentioend earlier it helps with consistency and cohesion as oppposed to multiple different artists or sources. There are a lot of things going for this game that make it's usage of AI work out in its favor, however. The story itself is largely very linear. While there are some choices you can make, most of them do not have long lasting effect and really just impact the immediate resolution of whatever quest-line you are currently on. There are also a very limited number of recurring characters outside of the main cast, with the vast majority of characters only really needing a CG or 2 and then maybe a romance scene [that may or may not be animated]. There are also still some hiccups with the AI animations, really just the cumshots, since the AI just kind of causes some parts of it just to exist without coming from a source. Even with that said, I do not think that takes away from execution, but rather goes to show what can be for larger and more diverse games. All in all, it is definitely worth your time playing.

The game is finished and is mostly polished, its just that I don't enjoy a single aspect of it and its super hungry for you time and attention which it doesn't begin to reward. I finished it with my brain about leaking out of my ear for my misguided sense of completionism and i regret it dearly my time lost.

Well, the game has it's flaws but overall it's one of the best here. First of all it's actually a game, when you choose you path, you have resources, you have history that evolve while you play. This game is text based with images generated by AI. Some animations also are generated by AI. Actually this is in plus because nothing currently beats AI in terms of body movement. There are some strange cumshots that denies physics, but overall the graphics is nice. The story is quite interesting with detailed description of what happen, I felt that the end is a little rushed. But still can hear the music in my head.
