Fleeting Dreams is a 2D CG RPG visual novel made with Unity by Guara Games Art. It is set in a parallel ancient China called the Zhong Dynasty, and you play a young man whose childhood was broken when bandits attacked his family. Soldiers rescued him, but he was separated from his little sister, a loss that still guides his hope. Now living in his hometown with Song Kuan, a loyal butler who feels like an older brother, he must put aside the Imperial Exams and find work as family savings run low. The game mixes daily life, careers, friendships, and choices in a bustling riverside city shaped by trade, foreign merchants, teahouses, scholars, and street life.
The Windows build v0.1 launched on December 17, 2024. Development is ongoing, and the changelog lists this version as the first release. It supports English, Japanese, and both Simplified and Traditional Chinese. The game is uncensored. As an adult title, it presents fantasy and sandbox themes, while the player remains a male protagonist navigating work, relationships, and the search for his sister.
