About Gift from the Ocean
Gift from the Ocean is an adult visual novel made with Ren'Py by OmniOkami, using 2D and AI CG art. You play as Natsumi, a red-haired female protagonist in a small coastal town who signs up for beach lifeguard training with her friend. Her love of snorkeling leads her into unfamiliar shallows, where she discovers something mysterious that hints at major changes for herself and her friends. The game adapts a short illustrated work with the same title and leans into a mystical, lesbian romance rather than a serum-based premise.
Development is ongoing with version v0.3.3, released on November 1, 2024. The game is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, is written in English, and is uncensored. The latest update fixed a side-image bug and corrected typos and wording. Earlier updates added the story prologue, new adult scenes and CG, two chapter paths, interface changes, and Android performance improvements.
Developer's description
A story set in a small coastal town about a girl named Natsumi. She and her friend decided to become a beach lifeguard and signed up for a training course. But as you might have guessed, not everything is so simple in this story. Love for snorkeling carried the red-haired beauty into unfamiliar shallows, where she found something incredible and mysterious. This foreshadowed BIG changes in her life and the lives of her friends. This visual novel is based on a short illustrated work of the same name that I made some time ago. Gift from The Ocean on DeviantArt . The premise isn't that cliched (at least I'd like to think so) and it doesn't have an overused "serum story", but rather a mysterious and mystical plot.
