I honestly didn't enjoy it. There’s way too much text and not enough action. Even with the skip function turned on, it still feels slow and boring. There are very few actual scenes or interactions. The pacing is off, and it just ends up being a lot of reading with little payoff. I expected more balance between story and gameplay.

Growth Academy [v2025.04.30] May 2025 Pitch You are an average young man ready for their last year of school when you get an invitation to a special academy for special individuals with a “growth factor” of which you are apparently one of. Get to know your classmates and experience a slice of normal school life while almost everyone around you is growing beyond any semblance of normal. Final Thoughts Overall this is a visual novel with a very clear idea of what it is trying to be. Essentially six novels based around six different love interests all with a unique growth factor. Highly focused on character development and writing at the expense of art, sound, mechanics, or even sex. Come for growth focused writing and stay for the realistic character development. 4/5 ---------------------------------------- Structure Technically this is a sandbox where after a short prologue you are dumped at a new day menu to choose your next scene (the scenes are clearly named and the love interest(s) involved clearly identified). Sandbox haters should take note that there is no searching for content or pointless grinding. After each event, the menu simply updates with what scenes are now available. So it plays like a visual novel where you can largely choose the order of scenes skipping ones for characters you aren’t interested in. Note; there is no harem (if you play the game you will likely see this is infeasible) and after approximately 20-25 scenes for a specific girl you will lock in to their route, no longer able to see most scenes for the other girls. There are cross over events and some general events as well. There are events and dialogue gated by affection checks and/or skill checks, I personally found the game more enjoyable with the Universal Ren'Py Mod installed so I could see those gates and take the route I liked more (YMMV). Plot/Story The writers have succeeded in creating a believable setting for exploring expansion fetishes in a fairly realistic way with characters having a plausible mix of reactions to their specific body changes over time. I would note that not giving the main character a penis growth factor seems like an obvious miss for the genre. At the time of this review AE, FMG, and WG story lines are either done or close to it while BE, GTS, and PRG are around half done or so. Writing/Dialog The writing is make or break for this game, as there is a ton of it. The six girls each representing a different expansion fetish each have about 100 scenes of about 15 - 20 minutes to read through. A lot of the early dialogue is slice of school life and getting to know the cast. As time goes on each of the characters will experience more and more of their “growth factor” and you will get to share in that experience with them. Some days its BE girl stuffing an entire meal’s worth of snacks in her cleavage, other days AE girl getting her rear stuck in a door frame. Its these moments that are probably the biggest payout in this game. There is nudity and sex, but these are major events few and far between. I was pleasantly surprised by the writing on several occasions. Characters There are six main characters each one with their own “growth factor” expansion and each one has a huge amount of unique dialogue and writing making them all very different and distinct. The character depth is refreshing and was fun to experience on several routes. That said if your preferred expansion fetish is tied to character with a personality you don’t like, you are basically out of luck. Visuals/Graphics/Art All 2D art and character sprites which convey basic emotions well enough while really serving to constantly remind you about the outrageous proportions the girls develop. A very small number of sex scenes have some additional hand drawn art that is charming but very rough. Fetish/Kink This is an expansion game through and through and fair warning likely of little interest to anyone without one of these fetishes. Most of the fetish content on offer here is the very heavy text based descriptions of life for these girls as they grow with character sprites to help power the theater of the mind. While not spoiling exactly how much each girl grows through out the story, I will say if you think big boobs are “E Cups” and an inch of bust growth is a lot of Breast Expansion, then this game might be a wild ride for you. Each character and their specific expansion is optional, and eventually the routes become mutually exclusive, so if you don’t want to see Weight Gain girl scenes you can avoid them, though she will still be a background character in group scenes at the school.
