About Headspace
Headspace is a 2D RPG Maker adventure by DoctorLoops. You play a male protagonist who, after an electrical incident involving a computer, is trapped inside his own mind. Because his dull work and heavy internet use have drained his imagination, his subconscious is mostly empty and patrolled by hostile Dark Thoughts. You explore this bleak inner world, fight turn-based battles, and use Inspiration, Fantasies, and Memories to repair the damaged mind and escape. The art uses 2D character graphics, and the tone mixes fantasy, humor, and monster girls.
The current non-Steam build is dated September 28, 2025, and development remains ongoing. It runs on Windows in English without censorship. The latest changelog entry, v0.20, updates the shop, introduces a new shopkeeper, and adds a monster-material item synthesis system. It also includes an added forbidden Limit Break, new interactions in Office 2F, and minor collision bug fixes. Earlier notes mention v0.18.2 and the initial v0.14 release, along with a warning not to transfer saves from v0.14 to newer builds.
Developer's description
"After an electrical accident at your computer, you suddenly find yourself trapped inside your own mind! To make things worse, thanks to your mind-numbing job and over-reliance on the internet, your mind is creatively bankrupt - bleak nothingness as far as the eye can see, while malicious Dark Thoughts roam the depths of your subconscious. With the power of Inspiration, your lewd Fantasies, and long-lost Memories, there might just be a way to repair your broken mind and escape the confines of your Headspace!"
