Hope I Get a Happy Ending

Ridiculous grind. You need to pay attention to hunger, energy and hygiene to get a massage. You work assembling a robot to get 100 credits while a long shower costs 500 credits. Take the shower in the evening, the game forces you to go to sleep and in the morning the hygiene is barely there. Meanwhile you need 200 credits to finish the massage. The graphics are good but in the current state the game is unplayable.

I didn't come here to check shipping labels on a PC and go to bed empty-handed just to repeat it all day long. How disappointing is that? I didn't stick with the game long enough to see anything good. Booooring.

This game was frustrating. It is a carpal tunnel simulator with clunky at best UI and so many unnecessary gameplay barriers to entry, which is so annoying because everything from the scenario to the art is FANTASTIC. I spent about an hour grinding money 95 credits at a time, because the 500 credit shower doesn't even fill your hygiene meter halfway, and the unlimited shower shop item costs 10000 credits for some god forsaken reason. Why did I do that? Because you can't exercise or go to the massage table if your meter is empty. I get not wanting to stink up the massage parlour, but why is hygiene a prerequisite for exercise? And then the UI. You have options for eating on the homescreen, which is replaced by the app on the computer, but that option doesn't go away or get replaced by the food option on the computer, it stays there, with an annoying pop up saying "I'm not eating that anymore" any time you accidentally click on it. Why? I don't know. A similar thing happens with the work app on the computer. It gets replaced, but the option stays on the screen, taunting you while being completely pointless. I really hope the dev reworks the game's mechanics, because I wouldn't have spent 2 hours repeatedly clicking and dragging if I thought that this was a bad game with no potential. Like I said, I really love the art and the whole milking table scenario is something that is extremely rare in my limited experience. I think that this game needs more time in the oven (and more animations, please!)

Version 0.31 reviewed *I did not finish the game so take this with a grain of salt. Futuristic Bladerunner type setting puts our invisible MC in a tiny apartment where you must perform various routines to maintain your mental and physical wellbeing. Unfortunately, survival is pretty much based around credits which you can only earn by grinding through a tedious mini-game. The ultimate payout is when you finally have enough credits to get your dick massaged on a glory hole table.. Pros: 1- Sexy female characters. 2- Very impressive sex animations. 3- Mood music adds to the immersive feel of life in a depressing futuristic world. Cons: 1- Starts off with an attempt at artistic writing. I'm not a fan of it in AVN's and although it's not terrible, it also doesn't add much value. A down to earth description of the MC's situation would have been better suited, IMO. 2- After the artsy intro the remaining dialogue is quite bland. 3- Progression is based primarily by playing a tedious mini-game. 4 - It's 90% text. The renders only appear during the massage portion of the game and one render of the tiny apartment.. The majority of my time was spent looking at a simulated computer screen. Not much fun. *Boner Meter- Semi hard The fantastic animations weren't enough to motive me to finish the game due to the extremely grindy game mechanics. If you enjoy a game that's primarily a long grind with a hot payout then this might be perfect for you. But it's not nearly as pleasurable as edging. well, it's not 5/5 because of the grind, but the model is 5/5, the animations are 5/5, and the visuals generally are 5/5. I think Ace likes to make you work for your orgasm because that makes it better, but I wish he'd find another way to make us work other than grinding. The mini games in previous games that let us play around with sexy pictures was a better way to make as work than just clicking "shower" "exercise" and "mediate" over and over again. It is a first release so I suggest adding sexy images to all the tasks to make them less repetitive and boring. But yeah, the visuals are just SO GOOD, and the animated cumshots are the best.
