How I Became a Hero

Would be interesting if not for the forced relations with old women, fatties, ugly tattoos, and dwarfs. Not sure why there are so many disgusting women that the MC drools over, but it ruins the story. Why not allow them to be rejected?

"How i became a wimp in a fantasy world" That was just boring, i don't really understand the appeal of making you do trivial things in a fantasy setting, that just defy the purpose of the genre (even more so with a title like this), reminded me of those isekai where the mc go farming and do boring shi like we'd want to read that. i'm not going to go deep on the writing everything felt devoid of human emotion and i don't think it's because of the bad translation more so the young age of the writer Only things i liked so far are the cast and the visuals but that's the bare minimum for an avn. Anyway maybe i'll come back to the reviews, see if it goes in a good direction in a year or two, for now i don't have the patience to take more, i stopped at chapter 7 or 8 if i remember correctly.

There's a fair amount of good and an annoying (IMO) amount of bad. MC is an effeminate child and dev seems into (light, occasional) femdom. I'm not a fan of that (no judgement to those that are). Dev notes claim it's not kinetic. It is absolutely kinetic, it's just a matter of whether or not you want to skip parts of the linear story.

This game is really under-rated It looks great, it sounds great because there are custom tracks throughout, with lyrics that reference the game world. There's a variety of girls and an ever-deepening lore/story between the two worlds. The first few chapters are a little rougher but it gets great as Season one progresses, and both worlds are getting love. And Season 2 is great.

A pretty mediocre read, the MC is very pliable and has no opinion or even choice, just like us players. The plot generally develops every 3-4 updates; the rest of the time, it's boring filler. And of course, the sex scenes are simply ridiculous and happen for no apparent reason. And the fact that the stepmother and stepfather divorced only because the developer conducted a survey asking whether they wanted the stepmother to be a LI is just crap—it's a red flag for me. 1* for the picture, it's not bad 2* for the music

The game is good, but I'm wondering what the title has to do with the game. The game is called How I Became a Hero, but the main character is a weakling who can't fight and has no magic. We're in season 2 now, and nothing has happened yet that would require a hero. No real enemy, no fights, nothing. The only thing that's happened so far is that the main character has slept with a few women. Don't get me wrong, like I said, I like the game, but I'm still waiting for the hero part. So far, the game's title has nothing to do with the game; quite the opposite, in fact, since we haven't heard or seen anything about the enemy in a long time. Basically, the game feels like any other harem game without the fantasy genre. Therefore, I'd like to know if the main character will always be such a weakling, or if he'll learn to fight or magic at some point, maybe in season 10 or so. (I'm exaggerating intentionally since we're already in season 2, and story-wise, nothing much has really happened except a lot of talk about nothing.) ps: Shouldn't the title be something like "How I Learned to Jump to Another World," or "How I Founded My Own Harem," or "How I Could See Again," or "I'm a Pooper But I Managed to Found a Harem Even Without Achieving Anything," or "I Can't Fight, I Have No Magic, I'll Never Be a Hero, But I Have a Big Dick"? I don't mean to offend anyone; I just came up with a few titles that would fit the game better than the current one. From S1 to S2 ch. 16 this game has definitely improved. And I kinda feel bad for only giving it a 4 star review, because the latest absolutely deserves a 5 star. Renders are beautiful, as can be expected, its not the mega-cock hero with magical powers, its just alot of very complex family history and a bit of elven magic that drives the narrative and opens possibilities. This seems to be a good recipe for a Naughty tale, excuse the pun.

I like it. Some people are turned off by MC's naivety and innocence, but to me it's a fresh change without falling into a cliché of a sly, dominating macho guy. Also making all relationships open and secret-free is also a fresh concept. Yes, no real choices that would lead to branching of the game but games that have that take longer to update.

Review for game till ch 7 The game writing is like a dnd campaign which is good, the bad part is there are virtually no choices, and while I can look past static and sometime subpar sex scenes, writing is a part I will not agree on. As it is like reading a kinedic novel masqureding as point and click. I mean Bing a dik does dnd much better than his. And that is why I am disappointed . not recommend it for anything , as aside from scope there is nothing much which this game does exceptionally.

This is a thoroughly average game with a good amount of content. The translation to English is not great, but even if it were properly translated it doesnt seem like the writing would be anything special. Zero player choice in game other than if you want to see content or not. Every female character in the story falls in love with the MC immediately. World setting is refreshing and decently done. Overall I would give it a 3*, I wouldnt go out of my way to play it but you could do far worse

I’ll cut the yap, this game is a solid 5/5 for me. I usually don’t enjoy VNs, but this one is an exception. The story is interesting even though it’s pretty linear and doesn’t offer many choices, still it’s well done overall, I especially like the pacing it feels just right, the renders aren’t the best but they’re good enough (maybe I give it 4/5), can’t wait for the next update. Great game, 5/5.

A cohesive, engaging narrative with a clear overarching arc and interlinked subplots. It's a linear story. The player character is likeable. My only criticism is that the models’ facial features appear stylistically uniform, but they remain distinguishable through other artistic cues. I was also surprise at the diversity of the bodies, from slender to thicker models. There are plenty of titillating images; even during "downtime." I'd highly recommend this game and supporting the author on Patreon.

Its. Fine. Nothing ground breaking. Writing is.. ok. Characters tend to melt into the same profile, even if they start different. LOTS of facial jewelry. I guess the developer has a fetish. Not for me, but to each their own..

The story is interesting but unfortunately the execution is bad, starting with the fact there are no story choices at all, this game is a kinetic novel not a VN and because of the lack of choices the game hinges on you the player liking Miriel, if you don't like her it gets super hard to continue playing as the MC pines for her over and over, next is the horrible pacing that speeds up at the important parts and slows during the boring stuff, what the game focuses on is also bad, there is a bigger focus on cooking a snake than any detail of the main story and finally there is the layout that has the MC going from a normal day to being trapped in another world facing an immortal to next learning how to take modeling pictures or chopping wood. The MC is one of the biggest problems as he has a strange almost alien response/reaction to just about everything(too calm, too happy, goes along with everything, questions nothing, trusts everyone, never tries to escape, sleeps in a room with a woman who wanted him executed, believes every story told to him, his personality makes wild changes for no reason, nice guy, coward, simp, moron, asshole, playboy, crybaby, etc..., he is a scammers wet dream falling for every trick in the book, basically he's just a prop. I have to wonder what exactly the writer thought the players reaction to the elves leaving the MC to rot in a cell with barely any food or water for three weeks and then destroying his possessions would be?, because for me i now hate them and want nothing to do with them, of course the MC is for some strange reason grateful after this and then the game forces him to simp to them. No choices that change the MC's attitude in anyway, that let you reject any of the main women or that direct the story at all, there are few see extra sex scene or not "choices" but none of the primary sex scenes cant be avoided(they are 100% forced on you). The human characters are one dimensional and basically identical, they all throw themselves at the MC like he is made of solid gold, the elf's i didn't like as the worse they treat the MC the more he seems to like them which gives him and the whole game a masochistic vibe. Once again basic male biology takes a leap out the window with the MC having erections for hours that can only be calmed down with cumming. The art is great but as scenes are forced on you it makes it less enjoyable, same with the adult scenes. So far, I'm really enjoying this game, and the story is captivating. At first, I didn't think the dynamic of switching between the fantasy world and the real world would work, but it seems to have worked in the end because it offers the versatility to show characters with different styles, like those we usually see in our world, and others that are more "medieval," as well as mythical beings like elves, etc. As for the sexual content, so far it's worked well with the harem genre, which is my favorite genre, but there seem to be signs that they're starting to expand to include lesbian content. I don't think this is a bad thing, as such content can be avoided, and I appreciate it. However, I sincerely believe that, being a harem game, the sexual and romantic elements should generally focus on the main protagonist or MC. I don't think resources should be wasted on that kind of content, because if it continues like this, it would stop being a harem game and become a polyamory game, and the MC would be more like a walking dildo in the middle of a large group of lesbians, and it would be horrible if that happened. For now, it's an amazing game, and I want it to continue that way. I just hope it doesn't go down the wrong path from now on.

The one-stars are unfair and honestly ridiculous... this is a great AVN, and it delivers in every way IMO. So many trash avns out here that actually deserve a 1 star, and this is not one of them. Either way, if you like a good story, incest and are into or open to fantasy(eleves, giants and whatnot) this is a great AVN and you should give it a try. its in my top 5 without a doubt. pros -many cons -its not complete yet XD 5/5 stars and keep up the good work devs!

Players who turned off lesbo content in options are punished with no 3some scene ! Probably because he is not capable of creating MFF without lesbianism or just too lazy for alternative variant. Middle finger for all these players, and in the future things like that will be normal? No group scenes for us? What a brilliant move After that low-blow move, game in my books doesn't deserve more than 1 star. I have never seen something like this in this genre

PROS + Sex scenes are animated. CONS - The whole ''Oh look honey, that's a baby in trash! How cruel someone to do this a baby! Let's not take the baby to a hospital or police, instead 'adopt' him right on the spot!'' is nonsense, and dumb AF, what kind of people are these? What kind of laws exist in this world? And more importantly, what kind of terrible writing is this? Other parts of story is not really that great either, like the whole he is being blind thing, which he doesn't look like at all, MC can follow objects with his pupils, holds eye contact with people he's talking to and easily performs actions that would be difficult for someone blind. And after he got isekaid he doesn't even suffer like someone blind before, and got his eyesight back, it's like he never was blind at all. Not to forget how he got isekaid is nonsense AF as well, like why random old woman sells Witcher medallion, and wearing that medallion teleports MC into a fantasy world? And what's worse, why he even later goes back to his world thanks a talking cat?! This is seriously very very messy, and nonsense story with almost every part. - The whole MC's, and love interests romance development is terribly-written, for no reason almost every girl fells in love with the MC in short amount of times. - MC doesn't have likeable personality at all. - Visual quality, style, facial expressions, and features looks bad, and with small changes on facial features, or body proportions, etc, it could look good, but current style is bad. And it's quite surprising considering developers game before this one had way better visual quality, and style, like... How is it even possible for you to do worse job than your older game? - Gallery design is quite weird, it's full of scenes should have nothing to do with being in the gallery, like content with nothing lewd/sexual at all, just a normal scene from the game, etc. - Choices doesn't matter in most cases, or even it shown like matter they actually don't change anything important, along with this most stuff, kinks, etc, are not avoidable. VERDICT Not worth reading especially how bad, and messy the story is, but if you like the visual style, then maybe it could be worth letting out some steam with skipping dialogue or watching the gallery, otherwise avoiding might be good idea.

And after he got isekai'd, he doesn't have to transition as if he was sighted his whole life, his past blindness was only ever used as an excuse for others to pity him, and was otherwise pretty irrelevant. And of course he can't even pretend to be blind after returning home. Good thing other characters are too stupid to catch on. ⠀⠀⠀To say that this novel has an 'Oblivion NPC'-tier dialogues would be an insult to Oblivion . The writing is dreadful . People do not talk like sentient living creatures, it's not even on the level of Zuckerberg human imitation, but much worse. Not only does everyone talk like robots, but also do so in broken English, so translation's not good . ⠀⠀⠀Why is a witcher medallion, sold by some random woman on the street, teleporting our protagonist to a fantasy world? Why does he summarize in all the detail what literally just happened? Gets thrown in jail for three weeks because "we don't trust you" and "want to study the medallion" . Oops sorry we destroyed your medallion, but we'll surely figure out how to return you to your world, because we've got nothing better to do. Until then, you're free to go wherever and do whatever because what could go wrong, right? We also burned your clothes, btw, AND you have to pay for new ones, so I guess you're now our bitch and have to pay the debts. MC be like: "sounds perfectly reasonable, have a nice day" . He later need to get into the tower, but it's guarded, and by chance he learns that the guardian is afraid of animals. So he brought a pig with him and she LITERALLY drops unconscious like a sack of potatoes. A goblin holds a cat hostage and is willing to trade it for an extremely rare fish. So instead of asking villagers to help kick his ass, our MC goes fishing and actually catches the fish, because it's super rare, so it makes sense, right? Why is everyone going out of their way to help the MC? He's done nothing of equal value for them and is a literal stranger, so this kind of compassion and comradery is unwarranted. The reason behind MC pretending to still be blind in his original world is so retarded: "you wouldn't be able to explain" , well how about he DOESN'T HAVE TO?? He could say that it just happened and he's no idea why, and nobody would be any wiser, or are you trying to tell me that they would eventually suspect parallel worlds and inter-dimensional travel, because some blind boy could finally see? There are also loads of porn logic like brewing a semen potion with penis flower to restore magical abilities. ⠀⠀⠀ MC is an autistic wimp . If you're blind, that doesn't mean that you also have to be sobby, socially awkward imbecile with no backbone and no self-respect. Yet for some reason everybody's crazy in love with him. Like at first he's a "filthy human scum", 5 minutes later he's already "kinda cute doe", 2 days later he's "the love of my life, I can't live without him". Making puppy eyes, telling his sob story or simply showing his dick is usually more than enough to conquer any wench for this protagonist. He says a couple of compliments and already gets a status of best guy in the world, this level of affection is simply not deserved . ⠀⠀⠀Sex scenes: a decent animation shown from 3-4 angles over a dozen of times. Naughty talk is bland and awkward , sometimes there is NO sex dialogue at all , not even onomatopoeia, just humping in complete silence. There is music with vocals that doesn't really fit the mood, no sfx, no clapping, no moans. Almost no teasing or build up either, sex just kinda happens. Most girls are very attractive , tho there are a couple of freaky-looking sidekicks. Conclusion: definitely a bad read. Maybe a decent porn, if you skip a lot of text?

Story: Boring, jumps from one scene to another and it's compounded by bad writing. What's the point of the MC's blindness? It's mentioned only when another LI needs to pity MC, and has zero impact on the plot. MC: Is a constant white knight. In the beginning, he is an omega virgin who doesn't know how to interact with girls; a few days later, he is a gigachad seducer. That's not how character development works. H-scenes: Are awful. Up to chapter 8, there is no build-up, no dirty talk, no narration, just animations. Later there are 2 not-bad scenes, but it's too little, too late. Harem: Everyone is in LoOooVe with the MC for no reason and okay with sharing. New LIs are constantly popping up to have 1-2 scenes and be forgotten. Strange facial expressions. Strange game design: Gallery full of scenes without sex content. In 1st season all variables are persistent.
