About Identity Crisis

Identity Crisis is a Ren'Py adventure by Tim Arts Studio, using 3DCG and animated visuals. You play a thoughtful young man who learns his father died through an anonymous letter and receives his belongings. The father had asked him to continue living with close people, who seem ready for him. A mysterious woman appears in dreams, offering power for freedom and a chance, while hidden connections and unfinished stories surface.

The current v0.0930 Beta Release, dated August 15, 2026, is an ongoing Episode 1 beta, not a demo. It runs on Windows and Linux in English and is uncensored. This build has major storyline and graphical changes from the earlier demo, with renders and visuals still incomplete. The full Episode 1 is planned for October 18 or 19 and should include upgraded renders, a gallery, and persistent collectable clothing.

Developer's description

You received a news about your father passing from anonymous latter, . the body cannot be recovered but a package of his belonging is returned to you. He knew his job was dangerous so as a pre-caution, he wrote a later and wanted you to continue to live with the closes people he knew very well. Upon your arrival, you are welcomed with opened heart by them, as if they already prepared for this moment. Spoiler At the same time, a mysterious female appeared in your dream, offering you a power in return of her freedom and "chance". As the story progress, you begin to wondered, why it feels like there are some stories are incomplete? why it seems like there are hidden secrets? why everything seems to be connected with one another? and why you? well, you're the kind of guy who thinks about almost everything deeply, and it bothers you a little to know the truth which your dad did the same when he was a young lad.

v0.0930 THIS IS ONLY BETA VERSION FOR EPISODE 1 (no, not the demo version). I haven’t implement the collectable clothes and other features yet. If you played the demo earlier, there’s a major shift between the storylines and the graphic. This version maybe 70% complete in terms of renders and graphic. I still haven’t put the other animations and the 3 new characters that should be in this episode ending for the tease. I also forgot to remake the introduction up until the waking up from the limbo part. Complete episode 1 release date : 18th or 19th October next week (since there’s nothing left to do, other than messing with the animations) What to expect in the complete version? •Fully upgrade the renders. •Gallery. •Collectable clothes (persistent – one clothes needs you to delete your save data ) •3 new characters. •Gui update. v0.0800 Initial Release
