About It's Just a Game
It's Just a Game is a Ren'Py adventure with 3D CG art, made by DigiDec. It is set in the near future, where VR-like simulation games are popular entertainment. You play a protagonist who believes he has found a way to make those games multiplayer. That idea creates an awkward clash with the company behind the tech. When he sees the fantasies of people around him, the story becomes an erotic sci-fi suspense/thriller about adventure, fantasy, and corruption.
The current build is v0.5.5.1, released July 28, 2025, and development is ongoing. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. The latest update adds bug and typo fixes. Earlier content includes scenes with Sara, Mol, and Ness, a replay gallery, and changes to early material, but the newest version focuses on polishing what came before.

In the very near future, VR-like simulation games are a popular form of entertainment. The protagonist believes he has worked out a way to make them multiplayer. However, this lands him in an awkward situation with the company behind the technology. Now that he has a window into the fantasies of those closest to him, how will he change? How will they change? Note: This is not a dating sim, or a romance story. It leans much more toward an erotic sci-fi suspense/thriller. If you've already played, you'll need a save from before Hanna's sim scene!
