The protagonist, Yuu Tono, is a second-year at Kazami Academy.
He's at that age that falls right at the apex of one's youth and adolescence.
But..."Youth? Who cares about that? I'm busy with my part-time job."
He's a hyper-realist who devotes his youth to his part-time job.
He adeptly completes his schoolwork while spending every day at work earning money.
Spoiler
Hibiki, his childhood friend who refuses to stand by and watch and Riri,
a classmate who looks up to Yuu as her master try to get him to join their clubs and change his life.
Hibiki encourages him to join the "Activity Collective," or "AcTive" for short, made up of lively girls with the slogan,
"Let's enjoy our youth and have tons of fun at school!"
Riri encourages him to join the "Volunteer Collective," nicknamed the "NegaTive," made up of diligent girls with the slogan,
"Let's devote our precious youths to making the world a better place."
Both clubs relentlessly try to recruit Yuu.
"I'm not interested in either. Youth isn't essential to me whatsoever."
Day after day, the girls refuse to leave Yuu alone, without any concern for what he wants...
Why in the world did things turn out this way?
"That much oughta be obvious."
"Get ready, Senpai. It's high time ya enjoyed your youth!"
Just what kind of "youth" awaits Yuu Tono?!
3/5 and a solid NOT RECOMMENDED. premise: What even is youth? Are you living your youth life? this premise will be the central theme of the VN. Enter our MC. He is anything but living a youthful life because of the harshness of reality (fuck adults and fuck his parents). He is forced to take scholarship, take part time job and basically have zero time for himself because he has to survive. Meanwhile the other kids (well, more like students, but who's giving a crap?) is just having a decent if not enjoyable(?) childhood life. This contrast could have easily turn the VN to something way darker, grimmer and gloomier, however the VN completely missed this opportunity. Common route: most of the common route is either 1. MC does part time and does part time things 2. they gather and do X and call that "youth" 3. some really boring banters here and there. rinse and repeat. Oh and I guess a few hints about MC's parents fucking him up but the details are withheld from you. Heroines: I only did Riri and god it was boooooooooring. more of the blandness from the common route. oh and i guess the writers had to make her kyaa kyaa in her bedroom. though if I close my eyes and just listen to the VA, wow even the VA is doing a horrible job, though none of the VA's fault. that's how soulless the VN is. Riri is just the typical shy ojousama type but other than that, she's as generic as she goes. Verdict: For a VN that is all about youth, I can't help but think that the writers have a very dull childhood life if they think just doing group activity is considered "youth". the only reason I'm giving it a 3/5 is because of the... tachie(?). when they pan the *.png characters and when they jump and change expressions. Alternate: If you want a story where the MC is going to the gloom route because of how horrible his youth is, I recommend (it's a manga though) https://mangakakalot.com/manga/cl939919

Boring and generic, soulless moege - with extremely cliched one-dimensional anime girls, not funny humour, silly plot and bland protagonist. Decent art though. Still there are better moeges than this - even from SAGA PLANETS - so I won't recommend it unless you are a die-hard fan of this genre.
