I, for all I remember, run one of the central organizations in this place. The Bureau. A French high-tech company that built its fortune on a revolutionary technology: Immersion Total, IT. Games are no longer stories told and experienced behind a screen. Games are… literally your story. We created something unique. A predefined universe and a few tweaks are all it takes to launch the player's mind on their own journey. Nothing is predetermined. The Central Core, CC, simultaneously controls all possible evolutions. We made synthetic quantum world explorable. Spoiler There is just... A minor issue with this system. Sometimes, for some unknown reason, the player's mind doesn't fully comes back from the game. This information has never been officially disclosed, as a multitude of factors could influence this outcome... ... Unfortunately , ever since I returned from Slow Fall, our first prototype, I've been having this problem . Since then, the company has been trying to replace me . But they can't do it without an official excuse. I don't know why, but I want to stay on top of The Bureau. However, I barely remember anything from before the IT... Deep down, I know I'm going to have to f ind people I can trust . In the Grand District. In an ocean of sharks...

Dont want to be too harsh on dev because the prequel was pretty good, I get why they refuse to give any sort of help to know what to do next, from the obvious fact that help is behind a paywall, but why make it so hard? Im not a fan of rpgm exploration of one scene to the next. If it was more akin to Henteria Chronicles where there is stuff actively happening then it makes sense, but having to explore every single room to get to the next scene is terrible design imo. Hopefully dev reconsiders either removing help from paywall or making the exploration less tedious. I would tell you more about the game but after the 3rd scene I get tired of going into every room of every floor and talking to every npc.

The idea of the first game being a kind of VR nightmare... a bit too convenient, but, sure, why not. Still, the way it's framed, it's like a blatant self-insert. No saying it's wrong, but sorry, it doesn't click at all for me. Maybe as niche game... But definitively, a game I won't waste my time guessing the direction.
