My new game is ready to see the light, it is a parody of Dragon ball, this time we will take the role of Krillin, who being the only survivor of a fierce battle in the future, some mysterious beings send his consciousness to the past to be his hope that this battle does not happen, but this fact changes the timeline, erasing Goku from the timeline making Krillin is the only hope for all universes. Spoiler The game is a mix of exploration with fighthing, topdown style, you will be able to investigate all the scenarios of the Dragonball world, besides fighting the fiercest battles like never before, with a system that allows you to use all the abilities of the Dragonball world.

Current version: 0.2.5 (allegedly?) It's an ambitious project that, in its current state, severely underperforms. The beginning of the game starts about as you'd expect any Dragon Ball game might: with a bit of fighting. You get three major battles with a 2D fighter style involving Yamcha, Tien and Piccolo; the ability to allocate points to different stats to bolster Krillin, your main character; and then... it just turns into your generic RPG Maker-esque game. In fact, instead of Godot, the developer could have invested a little bit of time looking into the "Linear Motion Battle System" (or LMBS) available in RPG Maker MV and MZ; this all very well could have been done in that engine, with perhaps far less effort and better execution. The one thing that I think might have tipped their hand toward Godot is the inclusion of a functioning Dragon Radar, which is definitely a solid addition. To its credit, the hand-drawn artwork in the game all looks unique and reasonably well done. Scouring through various sprite repositories, it looks like the battle sprites for Krillin and the other characters are ripped ( or very heavily referenced ) from a project called "Ultimate LSW", so I can't give you points there. And the music is pretty... obnoxious, honestly, cycling through three or four songs depending on the area you're in; it tends to get annoying rather fast, especially when it immediately resets upon entering a new area. But that's not the main failing of this project—that would be the quests, or rather, how blind they leave you. You need to look through every line of text the characters say to have any clue what you're supposed to do, and you can easily find yourself lost if you skip through even the most innocuous dialogue. What this game desperately needs is some sort of active quest tracker, if not because it's too easy to lose track of what you were just doing, but because a good portion of this dialogue switches from English to Spanish with no warning at all—that's right, there are parts of the text that haven't even been fully translated, like the text when Krillin uses any of the features of his apartment in West City, or when Chi-Chi clobbers him all the way into the Dark Forest. It is jarring to have to pause the game to bring a screenshot of the game into Google Translate to know what's being said or what you have to do. I struggle to call this "unplayable", as I managed to get a good three hours in ( according to the in-game timer, which I'm almost certain is running doubly fast, so perhaps 1½ hours tops ), but there were more than a few points at which I was scratching my head wondering what to do or looking up guides here on F95. Genuinely, this game could be so much better if the developer had a clear vision of what they wanted to actually make and accomplish. For that, it gets one star ... for now. Future updates might yield better results, but I can't know for sure.
I've played this game for quite a few hours and I have to say it's rather disappointing for what is actually a good idea. Before I get into the score's reasoning, I'll explain something about fights: I didn't have the same difficulties others seem to have, you can easily doge enemy attacks by jumping around. You can hold Z to recharge your KI, then down+attack (S or D key i think) to use a ki blast that deals more damage and sort of interrupts the opponent. Outside of battle you can use mushrooms and soup to heal yourself, but KI can only be recharged during battle. Losing some battles can get glitchy if you use the retry button. I had to fight 3 copies of the same opponent at once because of that before just deciding to close the game and load the save again. Now, there's clearly a lot of work done in trying to make faithful recreations of the universe locations and I'd like to praise the dev for that, but I can't. Because the maps are so pointlessly big and empty that you end up hating each location. Considering how the "events" take place in specific places of the map and they are basically on a story railroad, meaning there's no free-roaming to be done, then I have to wonder why they made this game as a RPG in godot instead of just a VN with renpy. The only time the top-view movement made sense was in a labyrinth cave and the oven minigame, but aside of that, it's just a chore. You need to pay attention to the dialogues to know where to go next, and sometimes you have to use "common sense" yourself to figure out the next step (for example, going to Uranai Baba to find the location of the Basho Sen) It's not that moving that way is bad, it's not like there aren't porn rpg games out there. The problem is that you have a HUGE map and then you have to ignore it because there's absolutely nothing there except maybe a mushroom. Dev recreated the whole ass temple for Uranai Baba, yet you only need to talk to her in the center. Everything else is only there to waste your time if you want to explore. The sex scenes are rather nonsensical, but they're not terrible. If only you didn't have so much unnecessary walking in-between scenes, maybe the game would be more fun. The worst offender so far is the Yamcha quest in the Gym. First of all, you have to poke blindly to find the Gym, then you have to waste several minutes doing trial and error to find the exact route you need to follow to sneak around... There's no field of view indicator or any other help, so you simply learn through playing it. Overall, nice concept, not the best execution. PS: I'll never understand what's the thing some artists have with making semen look yellowish.
i want to give it 2 star just for the attempt to do some cool things but I cant in good concious recommend this game to anyone in the state it's in. The art is unique-ish but it's not toobad the rest of this game is abysmal. the lack of instructions, the strange control, the floatiness in the fights, the lack of means to heal or manage your ki, even the pause menu is a mess. That said, there are some decent ideas in play. If the scuff of this game can be polished out a bit, I could edit myrating but as is, this is barely playable.
Animations are okay but this game is unbelievably glitchy and punishing. There are no obvious health items that I can find after the first area, the game is mindlessly button mashy, and enemy attacks are horribly balanced doing a great deal of damage. The game needs a lot of work because, in its current state, it is borderline unplayable.
