LA: Streets of Sorcery is a humorous detective visual novel from Bear in the Night, built in Ren'Py. Its animated 3D presentation blends fantasy, humor, and management themes while keeping an adult tone. You play a male protagonist assigned to a magical violations department, where you investigate arcane crimes, pursue flirtation with a partner, probe suspects’ thoughts, and let choices influence the ending. The setting centers on magical crime-solving.
The current build is v1.11b, dated September 1, 2026, and development is ongoing. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, without censorship. Recent updates have added atmospheric sound design, new renders, HD gallery animations, extra character skins, revised dialogue, reworked scenes, and minor bug fixes. The current version is not a final release.
