Lia and the Gem Journey

Honestly I was quite surprised by how little I enjoyed this game, it should be right up my alley with the tags but the game just isn't fun It is light on h-content and light on gameplay yet very drawn out I played the game for 7 hours before realising that it was a waste of time. I kept thinking that the game was just a slow corruption style game but would reward with a lot of content only to find that is simply not the case The gameplay is your run of the mil RPGM game only at its most simplistic form. You get a main quest, follow the main quest through a dungeon style map (be it a forest, a swamp, a cave etc) to find gemstones and progress the main story. Each dungeon has one or more enemies and each enemy has a loss h-scene. Usually with 3 variations if you lose 3 times which is quite annoying as it is literally the same loss scene with a tiny extra bit added at the end In total there are 19 loss relates h-scenes each with 3 variations. One thing I did like is some enemies will capture you if you lose to them and then there is an additional h-scene (with 3 stages to it) in total there are 6 capture h-scenes where you lose, get captured and then if you fail to escape on time you see these h-scenes But the problem is the content is just so spread out and it feels very repetitive and again I am generally not a fan of games where you see the same h-content but simply another stage of it with more stuff bolted on at the end. It should either be a fresh h-scene or just let you skip it. Because it is a new stage you can't skip it so it just draws it out and you have to rewatch a scene you've already seen that maybe at the very end has an extra cum stage to it or something stupid and simple But what bothered me most is the lack of city based content. Games like this usually shine because you have cities to explore outside of combat and get h-content through side jobs or through city related events. But this game lacks that completely. Part time jobs here don't have h-scenes and the only h-content in the city is all related to the main story so it is all with the same character and thus is quite boring And there again.... in stages..... So it just gets awfully repetitive very quickly. There are 5 h-scenes with that one character all with 3 nearly identical stages Outside of these there are 6 prostitution scenes, 3 of these again with 3 stages and then one more h-scene with a doctor and one scene at a bad inn A few bonus scenes involving other characters and that's it. This game really needed more scenes in the city especially since it has all these NPCs and teases investigation to find information on the main quest. But in the end the game does nothing with the large city the devs have made. There is even a second small village where again there just is nothing to discover or interact with The h-content itself is okay but not good enough to carry a game so light on content for how long the game is The h-content is quite simplistic in art style and most of the h-scenes is just a single image that shakes a bit during the h-scene If you are curious about the game I would recommend skipping to the gallery and just watching the h-scenes. If you like dungeon crawlers then by all means enjoy the game and in that case the h-content might be a nice bonus for you

After thinking things through, I decide to rate this game 4 stars. Not excellent by any mean. Honestly I could have gone with 3 stars. But it's trying to be unique, and after scrolling through endless games with AI slops for art on this site, I think it deserves better. Just so we are clear, I don't hate AI - even generative AI - but there's a clear difference between generating image to fit the story, and trying to cram a story into a randomly generated image.

For me, this game is too fast and unrealistic. In just a few moves, you can turn the completely inexperienced princess into a full-fledged prostitute. The other elements, like the part-time jobs, are simply insufficient to make the game more interesting. And the battles are... well, boring. Overall, after just over two hours of playtime, I simply don't feel like continuing.

Reviews here are not doing this game justice so i am doing an earlier review than i would like since i only have around 3 hours, but this game has been GREAT so far! The art is clearly not for everyone but i tend to enjoy games with unique styles like this one over the overly generic ones that doesn't put effort on anything else, and this game has actual effort and is somewhat competent on it's writing wich we know is rare in h-games, but at the same time there is a LOT of dialogue and there isn't much sprites changes for the main girls during dialogues wich means you have to lock in to follow it properly and the translation is just ok wich makes it a bit harder to keep up with dialogue, but why do i care? because this game has some ''unique'' world lore that i found fucking hilarious and it made me lock in really fast and it's been paying of so far! Now for gameplay... it's fucking brutal! if you don't cheat this can be quite the ordeal and not doing prostitution is hard, everything costs A LOT, combat is mostly ''knowledge'' on using correct equipment skills and... luck, or rather RNG can be big and playing to make RNG as much in your favor as possible is the goal... But combat is not the charm of the gameplay so far, the charm is the ''information'' aspect of the game, there's a BIG emphasis on information gathering in the game so far and i am enjoying it but since i haven't gone far enough i can't judge it properly, but if the quality i am enjoying right now keeps up to the late game this will end up being special to me!

I will be honest, this isn't much of a review, but more of a warning, this game is WORDY. To get to any portion of gameplay took me over an hour, and that was with me skipping a good portion of dialogue. They also like to repeat themselves frequently, way too often in my opinion. Yeah, some of what is told is important but honestly outside the bolded words you can ignore everything else. I read novels a lot, but the beginning really had me saying "Shut up already!" to the screen. At least the MTL isn't bad by any means As for the gameplay. It's fairly restrictive as the premise of the corruption, which is actually fairly well set up for one of these games, but is just RPGM combat, talking to everyone to get information, and managing your resources. There's a lot of talking, and if you don't have patience, like me as of the writing of this review, I recommend another game. For the art... It's about average for this type of art style. I do appreciate the more hand drawn looking art style, but you can definitely tell there's going to be no animation, and if you're wanting to play this for erotic content the situation is going to be what does it rather than the art. I'm giving this a 3 to try and be fair to it, but I can't play it any further, it's just too damn repetitive. The writer could definitely learn from the saying "Less is more." Hopefully someone who has the patience to actually complete the game can give it a more in-depth review

The game had promise, but it's loaded with cryptic, half thought out bullshit, hints that lie to you, events that don't trigger, and the wrong ending will trigger depending on what you do according to the post-game screen. For example, doing none of the Datura events will still give you his ending. I've wasted too much time already trying to see another ending, so fuck this trash. Also the rape in it is unavoidable no matter how much you try, and the hint for the A rank ending seems to be implying you're supposed to be a good prostitute for the asshole who enslaves you. Fuck that.

Not a coruption game, insted it is prostitution, rape game, there is no progression just watch nsfw scenes or dont. Game is also grind and filled with usless dialog that does nothing. I guess its not the worst porn game ever, but it is mostly a waste of time.

Played this over the 50% mark - its definately "corruption" but it certainly is very wordy as the other review states, and normally I would applaud that, as a corruption story is better with more backstory, however the only real "corruption" happens at the brothel, and theres fairly limited interactions outside of that. Very disappointing. Its kind of interesting, butif you decide to play anyway - dont expect it to suddenly ramp up after the first hour or anything, its the same throughout. The only monster content is losing/bad ending style, and theres not much interaction with the other people in the village(s).
