About Life is Hard

Life is Hard is a Ren'Py visual novel by DoubleLife, presented in 3D CGI with animated scenes. The story follows Joana and Raúl, a couple connected by love while facing unclear threats and hidden influences. Player choices move the plot through multiple branching routes, with encounters and desires shaping outcomes such as loyalty, betrayal, ruin, or revelation. The game offers three viewpoints: a female character tempted to cheat, a man suspecting his partner of infidelity, and a man attempting to corrupt other characters’ girlfriends or wives. Its themes include netorare, cheating, and netori, wrapped in a mysterious atmosphere.

The current build is v0.1, dated March 21, 2026, and listed as the initial release. It is an early version, not a finished one. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac in English, with no censorship. The latest changelog records only the initial release, so this version presents the branching story and the three points of view described above.

Life is Hard unfolds across multiple plotlines built around the following four basic pillars: 1) Netorare 2) Cheating 3) Netori 4) Much Mooooore NTR. At the heart of the story are two protagonists, Joana and Raúl, bound by love yet surrounded by shadows neither fully understands. As each choice is made, the path before them shifts in one direction or another, while a countless cast of hidden influences, desires, and dangerous encounters slowly bends their fate toward loyalty, betrayal, ruin, or revelation. Wrapped in an atmosphere of deep mystery. In general, there will be three types of point of view: FC POV : You play the female character who cheats, or is tempted to cheat (cheating) CMC POV : You play the male character whose partner is presumably being unfaithful to him (netorare). BMC POV: You play the male character who tries to corrupt other characters’ girlfriends or wives (netori).
