About Lyre

Lyre is a fantasy furry romance visual novel by Atmac, made in Ren'Py. It uses 2D CG artwork and follows a male protagonist as he visits a strange kingdom full of diverse characters. You play through a story where everyone hides motives and deception is common, while the main character must learn who can be trusted as an unpleasant plot develops around him.

v1.20.0 Book 1, released December 21, 2021, completes the first book. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, without censorship. The update brings the novel to about 159,000 words and adds five new CGs, two backgrounds, five music tracks by Exias, two sprites, and new armour for Lyall. A new Chapter 1 CG, revisions to early chapters, a hide-adult-content setting, GUI tweaks, and textbox portraits for prominent characters are also included.

Lyre is a romance furry visual novel story where you travel to a strange new kingdom surrounded by diverse characters. Your only weakness is that you have no idea what their motives are. They're all deceiving each other and every one of them is better at it than you. You find yourself only able to trust the most unlikely individual as a terrible plot unfolds around you.

v1.20.0 Book 1 The first book is complete! I hope everyone enjoys it! Thank you for joining me on this journey! The full novel is now around 159,000 words. It has 5 new CGs, 2 new backgrounds, 5 new music tracks by Exias, 2 new sprites, and a new set of armour for Lyall which you got a glimpse of in chapter 12. There was a new CG added to Chapter 1, along with slight revisions to the first few chapters. The game now has an option to hide adult content. You can access this in the settings. The GUI has been tweaked slightly along with the most prominent characters having textbox portraits. The first book may be over, but I would suggest watching the end credits all the way through... v1.2 Initial Release

Admittedly I do not frequent works of such type, their split attention between the written and the visual has a tendency to produce results that excel in neither department. And in a way Lyre does not break that mould, however…
