Maid Cafe is an adult Ren'Py visual novel by Maid Games, presented with 2D CG art and built as a dating sim, management game, and harem story. You play Michael, a young man who returns to his hometown to serve as administrator for a local cafe. On arrival, the place has become a busy maid cafe, and many staff members are old acquaintances or former romantic interests. The business is losing money, so you must make choices to keep it open, justify your position, and manage competing feelings among the women while your decisions shape multiple routes.
The current build is v1.5 Deluxe, released September 5, 2023, and the changelog shows ongoing updates. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux, is written in English, and is uncensored. The latest changelog entry says 1.5 corrected errors, added artwork, introduced fresh scenes, and altered branching choices. Earlier notes also mention fixes for names, dialogue, persistent variables, and DLC issues.

Maid Café is a visual novel story with multiple routes, where you take on the role of Michael, a young man returning to the area he grew up in, to work as an administrator for a local Café. However upon arrival you find it has now become a bustling Maid Café.
Surprising you even further, you find that many of the people who work there are old acquaintances of yours... Well more than that; past romantic interests from one time or another making for an even more complicated return home. Despite being a bustling café, it is losing money and you have been tasked with working out how to keep it afloat and also justify your ongoing position. As an administrator you will need to make decisions to determine its future.
Early on, just to make things more complicated you learn that there is a secret war going on, as the various waitresses each vie for your affection and attention! Thus it is your job to not only help manage the Café but also to juggle all the different women's desires to prevent all out war beginning and ruining this place forever.
Your decisions throughout the game will determine the story and could even lead to a new relationship as well as a variety of other fun interactions with the women.

This update fixes a issue that has been occuring for the past few days, where opening the phone or the inventory causes a crash referring to a dlc_outfits that is missing. A few days ago we removed some old defunct code from the game which has been causing these issues.
This update we have scanned every code file of the game and purged the defunct code thus preventing this bug from reoccuring.

Fixed an issue with izumi's route that would occassionally occur in rare circumstances, preventing progression after her strange dissapearence. If you were affected by this issue, you can either load a save from before her dissapearence or start a new playthrough to resolve the issue and allow her route to continue.

Added new lines of dialogue at the start when you choose what meal you want on your first visit to the cafe, this explains why no matter your choice you get a burger... I guess the choice has some other meaning within the game then. Probably to do with whoever likes the same meal as you.
