About Matriarch

Matriarch is a 2D adult strategy game made by ElatedOwl in Godot. It casts you as the Royal Consort of Queen Seraphine, a ruler who no longer wants to run her kingdom and leaves the work to you. The play follows 4X design: explore, expand, exploit, and exterminate while obeying her demands. Obedience brings rewards, failure brings punishment, and rivals may try to lure you away. The fantasy story can lead to conquest or collapse, with multiple endings and female domination themes.

The current build is v0.1, an initial release dated October 16, 2026, so development is ongoing. It runs on Windows in English and is uncensored. The v0.1 changelog marks the first version, introducing the game's 2D AI CG art, 4X strategy loop, and command structure under the queen.

Developer's description

The powerful Queen Seraphine grows tired of managing her realm. She has more important things to do, like being pretty, and being pampered, and laying in bed all day. She has assigned YOU, her Royal Consort, to manage her empire in her stead. Matriarch is a 4X game (like Civilization series). You will explore, expand, exploit and exterminate. All the while doing exactly what your Queen commands of you. Fail her commands and you will be punished, obey and you will be rewarded. She watches over you, always. You will find many foes want to seduce or steal you away from your Queen. Will you be able to resist and conquer them in your Queen's name? Or will your empire crumble to ash while you and the Queen end up captured and enslaved?
