Monster Girl Factory
is a chill incremental crafting game where you build a living factory full of cute monster girls.
Place cute monster girl cards on a 6×6 board. Producers generate resources, Storers hold them, Converters transform one type into another, and Buff creatures grant powerful bonuses when their rotatable sides match with neighbors (Resonance).
Start small, freely rearrange your girls, and watch your production snowball. Socket colorful
Gems
into your creatures for permanent upgrades, summon fleeting
Echo Orbs
for huge bonuses, and trade with the charming
Merchant
who levels up with you.
Upgrade your monster girls to unlock stronger stats and their fully
Lewd versions
. The more you play, the more automated and satisfying it becomes.
Your ultimate goal: complete the entire bestiary, master your board layout, and collect every monster girl along with her full set of art.

This is actually the first review of a game I am writting on this site and that is because I really enjoyed the game and want to give a new developer some encouragement. I usually try to avoid AI art and I see that the other reviews complained about it but I think in this case the AI art is actually really good and the core gameplay loop really makes up for it. I was hooked for a few hours. It actually took quite a bit to actually figure out the mechanics because the tutorial does feel a bit lackluster. So overall fun gameplay loop, bit of a learning curve, some of the better AI art and a fun little game. I hope the dev can expand the roster of cards some more (I was kind of expecting T10 cards to eventually show up) or even start a second game with a different card topic, maybe with just humans.

4.5* if I could Gameplay is unique, engaging, and fun to figure out. There's nothing that breaks the flow; no cutscenes, just pure gameplay on your board with the cards you have. There is some RNG involved with the symbols on the cards, but it can be worked around (eventually) using the new reroll system. The game does have a little bit of a learning curve, but once you get the basics down it's pretty simple, and can stay engaging for quite a few hours. Hopefully the general confusion on "why am I not producing X item" is resolved by the tutorial once that's completed, as one is definitely in the works. I will provide one below as well. ** Quick tutorial ** The simplest way to explain is this: ALL items are actually "built" by Converter monsters. Matching the symbols on the side of the card will "connect" entities. These Converters are fed either directly from a Producer, or routed through a Storage. The item(s) produced is determined by the entities that are connected to a Converter, shown by the symbol on those entities, assuming enough total essence is provided to the Converter. This number is shown in the details page as "item cost". From here you simply grind up to get new monsters, each unlocking a different resource. The reason for the missing 0.5 star is for the (imo) overuse of AI images as the main draw of the game is unlocking the art on the cards.

Absolutely incredible game, AI art yes, but the mechanics are very unique. Hard to get at first but very rewarding when you do finally get it. Also love all the different character types especially towards the end of the current gameplay! Hoping for more features and more less than humanoid monsters!

The gameloop & the pace of progression is pretty fun (if you can figure out what your doing with close to 0 tutorial). Random elements requires you to tinker with your setup with almost every new unlock which can be pretty tedious at times. But it is a well balance between gameplay and adult material.

[v0.3.1] Currently, the tutorial, the UI, the RNG, the limited space and controls are all pretty bad. Even core mechanics that are annoying instead of interesting. The tutorial "happens" as it goes- only explains what you encounter. It also requires you click on things to see why it's not working, so if you don't click on the specific element, you won't know- you could easily get confused into thinking messing with neighboring cards is what is needed. Happens only once, no bonus explanations. If i didn't understand something, the tutorial being ass is a very big hint. The UI really sucks- too large, too much clicking, too many nested menus, too many specific options/functions in specific places. The RNG of generic cards with elemental sides is annoying- spam to get favorable ones, rather than persistent ones to work with. "Generators" don't generate shit unless another card demands it,so why not have the demanding card generate? Buffing and Storing mechanics are also a mess I never understood, especially with limited and ever more expensive board space. Control, as in agency, is poor- can't empty spaces, can't empty board, must navigate overcomplicated menus, couldn't find a way to access gem pouch, can't willingly access shop, can't change the "bond" unit / image. I would suggest to change random sides to persistent elemental ones, ditch storage and buffer types to add elemental converter units, make upgrades specialize (add more elemental compatibility) rather than direct tiny stat upgrades. Esoteric, RNG and Overcomplicated. A mess in for a long ride until it becomes playable.

I love the gameplay Loop, its really fun! I think I was stuck for 1.5h Streight but for the love of good get rid of the AI immages! use them as a blueprint and hire an pixle artist to bring them to life, then it would be 10/10 for me the ai pixel art looks really off a lot of the time.
