Once Upon a Time in Texas

There are the basic ingredients here for a great game. The Texas ranch setting is fun and the story gets super interesting near the start. The mixture of crime and family drama reminds me of the TV show Yellowstone. I also like the art style, it's a weird mixture of muted backgrounds, anime protagonists and realistic comic art NPCs. The clashing art styles shouldn't work but it has a weird unique charm. Unfortunately, the game is let down by the writing. The dialogue isn't great with short sentences that lack personality. I'm pretty sure English is the writer's second language. The music is also diabolical - it plays the same three notes over and over until you want to ride your horse off the nearest cliff. I'm giving this a high score mainly for its potential. Hopefully the writing can be given a polish moving forward.
