Version 0.5.5 Passion’s Playground is a confused game that packs together top-notch character designs and truckloads of excellent lewd animations with a horrendous, all-over-the-place plot and far too many routes that the developer clearly struggles to keep track of. It is a highly divisive experience: five stars for graphics and animations, one-to-two stars for story and characterisation. A classic case of a techie developer who desperately needs a proper scriptwriter. Story It starts off roughly as the page summary promises. We get slice-of-life moments with MC, a library owner (an unconventional setup whose only apparent purpose seems to be catching eyeballs, since the plot has almost nothing to do with the library itself) going around dating girls and meeting friends. Somewhere in the middle the game morphs into a mystery revolving around military projects and contractors. By the end of this version it appears to be evolving further into sci-fi and supernatural territory. Evolution of plot and characters is fine in principle, but it simply does not work when the game keeps switching genres within short stretches of playtime. My guess is the developer has no overall framework and is simply jumping from point to point depending on his mood for a particular update patch. The whole idea that MC’s best friend Zach asks him to look after his house while he is gone because he does not trust security contractors—only for MC to leave whenever he likes, bring whatever girls he wants, and then have two prostitutes contracted by Zach to entertain him in the house is beyond ludicrous. Game Mechanic Standard visual novel with choices. Credit is due for the many distinct paths that open depending on those choices, but there are obviously too many permutations, leading to a large number of plot inconsistencies and logical holes. MC will frequently make reference to characters or plot points that players have no idea about. There are also free-roam scenarios that are badly implemented. Instead of a simple clickable map, players are shown a map together with direction buttons that are not oriented to it. The result is a lot of time wasted wandering around aimlessly because “left” means up or “down” means right on the map. Background / Character Renders Excellent graphic renders, especially with regard to the love interests. There is a wide variety of them ranging from MILFs and outright sluts to sweet-looking girl-next-door types. The main LI, Ines, in particular has one of the best character designs I have seen in Daz3D. Backgrounds are also well done and serve the story adequately. Character Development Close to nil. Too many paths, too many LIs, and everything is spread far too thin. Classic “jump on MC’s dick at first sight” behaviour for most of the girls, while MC himself is little more than a passive tool that pushes the story along. Sex Scenes Passion’s Playground has to be one of, if not the most, animated Daz3D AVN I have come across. If you unpack the rpa file there are literally hundreds of animations for a game that is still only at Version 0.5. Every scene comes with at least five (often more) animations, and surprisingly a decent level of dialogue and supporting renders to go along with them. This makes the scenes far more immersive and erotic than the typical “ten stills + two short loops” approach seen in most other Daz3D titles. The only missing icing on the cake is sound effects. BGM and Sound Effects Typical urban modern tracks and some light sound effects as and when needed. Good enough, but nothing spectacular. Conclusion It is a damn shame that such nice character models and top-quality animations are wasted on a confusing package like this. The game has no clear direction, gyrating between tropey slice-of-life leading to quick sex moments and crazy conspiracies plus sci-fi mystery the next without any proper plan. In all honesty, someone could probably take the exact same renders and animations and execute a completely different, far more coherent and interesting story.
v0.5.5 I did like the beginning with old-ex and the new girl drama. The ex felt like really interesting character to create chaos on MC´s new love life. But this didn´t last. The story of our buffed, handsome, playboy librarian watching his drug lord (or something) friend´s house is somewhat baffling setting. Every woman instantly wants MC, everyone talks and acts like they are written by 15 year old and of course there is mafia/mega-army-ranger -style action thriller coming up. Not 100% sure, as I stopped reading when armed people entered the story. Visually game is good enough. Women are beautiful, but their bodies do get twisted unnaturally. Might be problem with the game engine, but it is still distracting. Best part of the game was when these beautiful ladies did stand straight and looked pretty. And no one said anything. Except the crazy ex, she was fun.
Make sure you know what you're getting into - unfortunately little more than an obesity fetish game. It's not very honest that all the preview shots are purposefully chosen to hide the inhuman proportions The UI is nice, very polished, the writing is reasonable - nothing jumps out as obviously awful and the render lighting is well done but there are two major drawbacks The first drawback is that there's no tension ever, just into cringingly easy sex with women who throw themselves at you because they have no will of their own. The second is the hideous line-up, all obese and misshapen, all tattoo'd and the MC always throwing compliments whether the player wants to agree or not, like scenes with michelle
money grab game i was a subscriber on pateron till i realized the dev just updates the game and barely adds anything. also the story is that great. i will say when i first played i enjoyed it but as the story started to progress i was no long interested in playing due to the lack of effort being put in
4/5 The MC owns a bookstore, but running it quickly becomes the least interesting part of his day. The dialogue is easy to read, choices are clear, and the environments look good. Adult animations are smooth and there's already plenty to see for an Early Access version without the game feeling padded just for playtime. Some facial expressions still look stiff, and navigating the free-roam sections with arrows can get annoying. There are also a few typos that could use another proofreading pass. I liked the little references to older adult games, and overall the story moves along without wasting too much time. The current issues mostly feel like polish problems rather than anything fundamentally wrong with the game. Good base, enjoyable content and plenty of room to improve. Recommended.
So far my experience on around 2-3 hours'ish of playtime: 1. Your Choice matters. -> You WILL loose certain LI's (Love Interest's) in your first playthrough. Make sure to enjoy every single potential outcome, because every path has it's up's and down's. -> For every Path you chose, there is different dialogue inbetween the characters. 2. The Story -> From my humble experience, this game is going to be a heavy hitter later on. I can see a lot of preparation the DEV is doing here with the characters and i honestly cannot wait for future Updates. So yeah, take it with a grain of salt. The Story is nowhere near to get you hooked but in my opinion the dev includes the cast VERY well into the flow of the Story. They never feel unnaturally thrown into your way. I gave up judging the games by the reviews on this website a long time ago. A lot of the Players/Customers are douchebags and only live to throw false rocks at you. Listen to me and give this game a try. You won't be disappointed. 5/5 Stars from me. 5/5 Characters and Renders 5/5 Animations 4/5 SFX and Music -> Dev seems to have implemented them not long ago, so 90% of the game is missing music and voice-over's. But i only take 1 Star off, since the DEV seems to be interested in giving an effort towards it. 5/5 Animations and H-scenes. Horrible experience, I thought it was going to be an amazing game but first it throws up some terrible options. Another detail is that they are prostitutes, probably with diseases, and he wants me to have romances with prostitutes; that is, he wants me to ignore my past and happily kiss a prostitute who was sexually assaulted by some men in the face That's my only complaint about this game: an MC with a dumb face who also has romances with prostitutes.
Nice renders,sex scene are good and sadly that's it, so two star only for the porn aspect. It's basicaly one of those game were it's better to skip text to look at the sex scenes because there is nothing else interesting in the game. No real story, you're just supposing to live in your friend house for a week,not even some background about the mc outside of his job, it's just some random librarian going to a bar and parties to fuck girls because he's bored. No sound at all (it's better than poorly done i suppose but still negative) The li's (if we can call them that) are all the same, some slutty bimbo doll with big fake boobs/ass/lips without much personality, at best a few lines of dialogues after you meet and they are ready to spread their legs for the mc. The girl on the banner, you talk to her in a bar and after a few word they leave and can fuck without any build up. There is some crazy ex obsessed with the mc,stalking him (and can even cockblock him with another girl if you are nice to her in the begining),but nothing is explained and mc treat her like shit. A slutty assistant whit a boyfriend who's trowing herself at mc's dick for her introduction and think how good it would be to be fucked by him. Two bimbo selling vape to him, a few prostitutes in a party at mc's friend house that you can fuck in various way and that's it . You can even see one of them fucking with the friend without any warning (outside of hearing some noice and investigate )or have a threesome with him. There is some choices, but it's basicaly interacting with the girls or not, and if you dont, because they arent realy interesting , there is almost 0 content in the game (especialy if you ignore the two prostitute because most of the game content is about the mc fucking them or looking at them being fucked)
tldr: attractive models and sex scenes can't save what ends up being a very uninteresting experience. The 2 stars come from player agency (which ends up being a negative oddly enough) One problem with this game is that the LIs (if you can call them that) all have the same body type, big tits, big ass all have the same quasi-slutty personality, and because you're able to skip pretty much everything to do with them, they all feel like meaningless fuck and forget type girls. The main plot is similar, in that there isn't really a plot, and again, because you can ignore what is going on, it makes you wonder "does any of this even matter?". I tested it out, and I role-played as a dude who doesn't want to fuck with slutty girls and do drugs, and isn't interested in spying on people, and the game has ZERO content. Weirdly enough, the most forced content you have with an LI is with a "not an escort". You can straight up ask her if she is a prostitute and she says "No. I like to have fun and make money." right. Okay. You're forced to pretend to be interested in her, and have to reject her a number of times for her to finally get the hint. It's funny, I'm a big proponent of player agency, but there needs to be SOME basic structure holding the experience together, and the 'stay at a friends house' just isn't it. No emotional connection to LIs, no emotional connection to the main mystery, just..nothing. Combine that with the 'develop by polls' (everything from BBC/cucking to FFM/MMF) thing the dev has going on and it's clear this is all the game is going to be. A series of disjointed sex scenes with uninteresting women. Unfortunate, but I can't say I didn't see this coming. Skip on this one, it's going to be underwhelming.
I love Ines . ( the main cover girl) She looks absolutely stunning, and her personality is more or less well-written and natural. She is the peak of this game. With Ines , the whole thing feels almost wholesome and romantic rather than just another coom novel packed with sex scenes and lewd content with an average story. Ines ' model is simply beyond peak. The reflections on her skin, her makeup, her slightly red nose, her fashion sense, her skin tone, and her... more intimate qualities are executed with absolute precision. Putting her on all the promotional material is clearly the right call she alone is reason enough to give this game a shot. i dont realy like MC's design/looks but thats just me i guess. The whole "your choices truly matter" marketing angle is actually neither false nor misleading. Make the wrong calls and you can easily lock yourself out of a girl path entirely. On my first playthrough I accidentally closed off Ines ' path without realizing it and the game without her is just completely bland. Tes is also a good looking girl, with her own personality and charm. The game is completely silent no music, no sound effects, nothing. There are some grammar issues and missing renders here and there. It's clearly still in very early development, but overall it's playable and occasionally enjoyable. Candylight Studio is heading in a reasonably good direction with the development overall i think. What is "funny" is the PR fluff surrounding the game you'd expect a description to tell you what it's actually about, not just recycle "your decisions matter" and similar filler fluff bullshit. Honestly, it feels like even the developers aren't entirely sure what their game is about. They just wanted to throw together a bunch of sex scenes, add a pretty fine Ines storyline, and figure out the rest later. type shit. It's still worth recommending especially because of Ines but story-wise, don't expect anything groundbreaking even in later updates in my opinion.
Version 0.3.0 reviewed. Silly story about a hunky guy who owns a library ( a library?) who is being stalked by his ex-girlfriend. I only played after the scene with the ex gf as I couldn't bear the story any longer, so this review is based on what I saw during the thirty or so minutes I played. ---------------- Pros: 1- Beautiful renders and sets. Real quality. 2- Nice looking characters. The females were quite attractive. I really liked Ines. 3- Decent sex animations. Cons: 1- Silly story. Why would the MC, who looks like a linebacker, buy a library? Can you even buy a library? Aren't these owned by the city? 2- An abundance of grammatical errors. Unsure why this wasn't proofread. There are so many errors that it became comical. 3- All the woman dress like sluts. I get that it's the devs choice to have the females look like hookers, and I love a good looking woman as much as the next person, but it just doesn't work for me here. *Boner Meter - Semi-hard - Some redeeming qualities but lacking in many areas. The nice renders and sexy woman are the big positive here and will be the main reason why anyone likes this game. The game really falls flat in the writing and dialogue departments, which in my humble opinion, is just as important in an AVN. The dev obviously has skill with the visual side of things. My suggestion would be to get help with the writing and proofreading. It is sorely needed. Good luck.
Well done! Definitely have to play through a couple times to see all the routes. High quality scenes with choices awesomeness! The story plot wasn't half bad either. A roller coaster of emotion! Wouldn't min a scene gallery to make sure we didn't miss anything. Can't wait for more! ty!
I really think people are a bit too strict with the rating , this game nails the important stuff which are the models and animations , the main girl is one the best i have ever seen with a perfect body and very cute face. , i hope to see a lot more of her. The dialogue flows nicely and choices matter with different paths . Overall its still early and there is some refining to be done but very nice start ,

Saving can be a little quicker if the right click brings up the save page. No music, ambient, environment or lewd sounds at all, very disappointing, particularly for immersion. Some spelling mistakes here and there, grammatical errors, but nothing major. While dialogue isn't bad, its sometime a bit "primitive" and shallow, lacks finesse and class and goes against the visual quality. Minor inconsistencies in dialogue vs visuals, like "tears welled up in her eyes" but the visuals show nothing of the sort, not big deal, read comments. Fairly short, but at least whats there is good quality. Though it can't be a gauged 100% with the amount of content here. OPINIONS, SUGGESTIONS & FINAL REMARKS : NOTE: The following remarks are my personal opinions and thoughts, which may provide more context and could be useful to the developer. (Read them or don't) Per Cons of inconsistencies like her eyes welling up with tears yet the visual scene shows a normal face, no running makeup or red eyes, snot and tears all missing after a rough deep throat. This is not a deal breaker, but for immersion it would be nice to include it. The same can be said about little details, while the AVNs fidelity is great and its nicely done, small details like saliva, tears, running makeup, lube, precum, sweat are all nice details to add to scenes and really pushes that professional and sexy vibe/immersion sought after in AVNs. Its particularly disappointing when you have such a good and polished game that doesn't go that extra mile like this one. As per con, the writing/dialogue is not horrible but also does have some seriously stupid moments like while the MC is banging Ines, the comments are kinda dull, this could be done on purpose as lizard brain kinda is pretty much all that goes on during those moments, and its a little bit of a nitpick from my side, but not a deal breaker. While kinks so far seem fairly straight forward "vanilla" stuff, I am hoping that the developer introduces some more. Something I found odd was the MCs room/apartment. Entering looks like a narrow, low door, one youd expect in a cabin on a ship, it immediately enters the MCs room, not a living room. I get it could be a bachelors pad, but seriously, the whole layout and all looks like a bedroom with on-suite bathroom...I think the developer should look into inconsistencies like that...just saying... TLDR: Impressive AVN and does very well on the visual side of things, writing is not bad, but lacks a certain quality. Story is very vanilla and nothing interesting right now. Lack of and sounds in the game is rather disappointing. Content is not a lot really, but not bad and good quality, hopefully future updates will provide decent amounts per iteration.
This review is for a very early release of this AVN. The renders of the girls, MC, and environments look great and are really easy on the eyes. The only thing that stood out is the apartment, which comes across more like a hotel room, so a bit of a redesign there would help. The writing so far is solid, flows well, and makes the short playtime pretty enjoyable. At this stage, there’s no music or sound design, which I hope gets added in future updates to enhance immersion. Since the game is listed as a dating sim, it’s hard to know whether there will be a larger narrative or antagonist to drive the story forward. The initial release doesn’t offer much content—about 10 - 15 minutes of playtime—so I would like to see future updates include significantly more. Overall, this is a promising start, but it’s still too early to tell where the game will go. For now, I’m giving it 3 stars . If future updates add more substantial content, music, and a clearer story direction, I’ll be happy to revisit and adjust my rating accordingly.
In terms of story it's hard to judge right now, since this is just the first release and there is not a lot of content. But all the girls introduced so far look really good and both the renders an animations are very well done.
