About Perspective
Perspective is an adult visual novel by Vermilion Stardust, built in Ren'Py with animated 3DCG visuals. It follows a male protagonist in his third year at university, where two straight years of study have left him focused on choosing a bachelor thesis topic. His routine is disrupted when people around him begin behaving strangely, opening a week of opportunities and prompting him to question whether their actions or his own perspective are the problem. It features a sandbox school setting.
The current build is a demo. The listed version is Steam, and the release date is November 17, 2025. It is available for Windows, Linux, and Mac, presented in English without censorship. The latest changelog entry is for the Day 3 Extended Demo, marked as an initial demo release.
Developer's description
While the newbies are desperately trying to get used to their relaxed life at university, our MC is already at a point in his studying career where he is thinking about topics for his bachelor thesis. He has been studying for two years straight, and by now, there is little that can throw him off. Each new day is more or less the same. His simple situation suddenly changes when the people around him start acting weird. He has a hard time explaining their actions, but just because MC didn’t see these changes coming doesn’t mean they are bad. Right around the beginning of his third year, our MC experiences a week full of opportunities. If you can't explain why people act the way they do, are they the problem, or do you need to change your perspective? An Adult Visual Novel set at university.
