About Private Eyes

Private Eyes, from Guessing Games, is an erotic murder mystery visual novel built with Ren'Py and 2D CG art. You play a young woman searching for purpose while investigating her father's death in a city tied to the Rosewood crime family. Her choices can deepen her involvement with that family or reveal clues about the killer. The game includes animated scenes and explores corruption, romance, and lesbian themes.

The current build is v0.3.1, released August 9, 2026 for Windows and Mac in English, with no censorship. Development is ongoing, since the changelog lists more typos and work-in-progress music. The update adds about 45 new images, 30 image panels, and 1,350 lines of code or dialog. It also updates the replay system with Liam and Miko, fixes typos, adds dialog, updates car art, includes new opening art, and expands references to existing branches.

Private Eyes Is an erotic murder mystery visual novel that follows a young woman lost in life, looking for purpose and a way out of the malaise that has become her existence. You’ll make choices that will either send her further into the dark underbelly of the city's most infamous crime family, or you’ll take steps in search of finding your father’s killer. The choices are not always opposing sometimes playing along can find more details and sometimes digging a little deeper can lead to further corruption. Along the way, you’ll meet several people connected to the Rosewood family and see how they intertwine with the case she's following, and you’ll also meet people who have yet to be corrupted by them.
