About Project X
Project X is a Ren'Py visual novel by Gecko, set in a densely populated two-million-person city hit by periodic power blackouts imposed to reduce pollution and protect nature. As crime rises and emergency services struggle, citizens blame the mayor and riots spread. You play a male protagonist working in a newly assigned Female Department while hiding a shameful dark secret. The game presents 3DCG animated scenes with a parody tone, romance, and sci-fi themes.

Version v0.2 adds chapter 2 with more than 1200 images, over 60 animations, and over 150 music tracks and sound effects, plus a new gallery screen, four achievements, and a gallery tutorial. It also reworks the logo, splash screens, status screen, and overall interface, while chapter 1 receives minor fixes and text changes. Old chapter 1 saves cannot be used, but players can skip to chapter 2.
Developer's description
A two million densely populated city starts having periodical power blackouts, forced by new regulations in the hope to preserve nature and reduce pollution. A soon-to-be dystopian sanctuary, a twisted utopia for every crook, and criminal. As crime rates increase overnight, emergency services have their hands tied, fearing that even normal living conditions could halt if the situation escalates! While the citizens blame the mayor for his reckless decision, and riots start to occur across the city, MC battles with "awful" working conditions in his newly assigned "Female Department" position, and his shameful dark secret.
