Running the Red Light

I am really enjoying this game, and that is a lot to say for someone that usually despises sandboxes, unless they are well done, and this is well done. The setup is that you are from a rich family that has just gone bankrupt and you are forced to start from the bottom with very little money. You travel to one of the biggest cities in this fictional country, one where there's opportunity but also one where, should one fail, the government won't hesitate to send you to a work camp where you are little more than a slave (you get food, accommodation and a little bit of salary, but not nearly enough to leave, so you will be on that work camp until you die). That threat of the camps looms over everyone and you, decided to make it through an old family business, porn, use it to your advantage. The game is done in Koikatsu, so the animations are pretty basic and the renders are quite the usual Koikatsu ones, however the models of the girls are different and have personality. At the same time, the biggest strength of the game is not the renders, but what I just mentioned, personality. It has personality, the world building is great, the conversations are realistic, grounded, and even the threat of the camps is not done in a "sunday morning villain plot" way, but in a realistic, credible world. You believe that this world could work like that, the characters believe it, and behave in a very sincere, human way. The characters themselves have great personality as well, many are damaged in one way or another, it humanizes them (even you, the MC), it makes you create attachment to them, empathize with them and..... use them. It is great to see the way the dev makes you empathize with a poor orphan that has to work in a hotel for accommodation, food, and a bit of salary, avoiding the camps, and then have you decide whether you want to let her keep digging the hole she dug for herself with her boss, see where that road leads, or jump in to manipulate her, have her fired, and then take her as a porn actress as there is no other job alternative for her.... you feel like a monster either way, being a passive watcher of a tragedy, or pushing it in a way that benefits you more immediately..... what do you do? The same choices are present with most characters, the MC has to make his business work, or he will also end up where the other characters are, so what are you willing to do to convince these women to be fucked on camera? There is sandbox here, and is well built, with a lot of different activities that unlock as the game progresses and you meet more characters, there is a bit of a grind, but it feels realistic and you are continuously fed events with one character or the other so you get to know them better, see their personal stories and learn about their struggles so you can exploit them, there are meaningful choices, where character's stories adapt to how much you lean on their desperation or affection to you (the two main stats for NPCs), there is a skills system that still needs to be developed but is already realistic, well thought out and meaningful..... there is a lot going on for this game. There is also a future path for this, adding more girls, adding more types of scenes, diverting some girls towards prostitution.... there is mention of drugs, a business management that is good enough for what this is but can be expanded more..... overall, the game shows a lot of promise but, what is there is already great, and, in particular the writing is 5 stars, this is an engaging setting, with engaging characters, well written, emotional, pulling at your strings where it should, making you think.... as I said, I am absolutely loving this game, 5/5, can't wait to see where it goes from here.

Overall really impressive for an initial release , there is a lot of content and interesting characters I would like to see more of. The overall setup looks very extensive. Hope this does not take ages and please do not add many more girls but rather progress with the existing. Unfortunately the progress is slow and a significant grind. There seems to be no limit on time so you can get along once you have your first girls. The return on invest is ridiculous, mostly 1 or 2% . Same holds for the other parameters, why do I need to repeat a scene 5 times to get the next step. Please change this, it will deter players who want to seen the story behind the girls. Should hopefully be just some paramters to get a significant better experience and progress. Quality of Life like a gallery would be nice, the built in hints are sufficient if you read thoroughly and check the character infos to find missing content. Hope to see more of the girls soon, I was really drawn to them. Otherwise I would not have accepted to grind to see their progress.

I really enjoying this game so far, also a some pronlem so i will try my best to rate it with my broken english. The character writing in this game is so good. I can tell that the situation they got themself in really changing the way they think little by little. Their personality fit the story really well. The choice they made in the game is so real that it almost convince me that maybe the people in real world also suffer from the same problem. The gameplay has issue tho. Like i make so little money from video so it took me a while to uprate my gear. But after uprate my camera and everything else, it didnt make much of a different. Like some how the threesome video is alway make around 500$ but a rough sex video with Emma will make about 1000$. It dosent make any sense but not that big of a problem. I would like to see some event behind the scene tho. Like Amy told me that her boss go all the way with her in the morning but the player dont get to see it. It feel kinda bad not seeing that event. So far so good but it can be better. I will wait for the new update!
