About Second Skin

GABRO made Second Skin, an adult life-sim visual novel, solo over a year, using the Others engine and AI CG artwork. You play Alex, shaping how the character looks, behaves, and relates to others through character creation, dating sim choices, and multiple endings. The wardrobe and appearance system gates clothing by femininity, while salon visits, jobs, dating apps, stats, minigames, and branching arcs for the full cast respond to your presentation. A gentle feminine path and a strict masculine path can feel like different games.

The current build is v0.1.2, released September 9, 2026 for Windows in English, with no censorship. Development is ongoing: Chapter 1 is complete, and more chapters are planned. Around 95% of the game is free, while a paid edition adds optional side scenes that do not alter the main story. The latest update fixed blank story lists for premium-scene characters on some builds, including a Scene Discovery page issue, and made the Restaurant Dinner rush easier by reducing tables, seating guests more slowly, and increasing their patience; Tray and Footwork skills were unchanged.

Second Skin is an adult life-sim visual novel about Alex, and about you: how you present yourself, who you fall for, and how you like to be treated. There is no single right path. Lean masculine or feminine, dominant or submissive, and every playstyle opens its own reactions from the people around you. The story adapts to how you actually play. There is a wardrobe and appearance system with femininity gates on what you can wear, first-time crossdressing scenes, salon visits, a full cast with their own branching arcs, jobs, dating apps, stats, and minigames. A soft feminine playthrough and a hard masculine one are barely the same game. Made solo, over a year in development. Around 95% of the game is free; a paid version adds bonus side scenes that do not affect the main story. Chapter 1 is complete, more chapters planned.

v0.1.2 - Fixed a character's story list opening blank if that character had a premium scene (Brooke, Dana, Mei, Vivienne, Marcus, Tyler), which on some builds also broke the Scene Discovery page. - Restaurant Dinner rush eased: fewer tables, seated slower, guests more patient.
