About Shadows of Absence
Shadows of Absence is an adult Ren'Py visual novel by Drevox, presented with animated 3DCG visuals. You follow Helena, a female protagonist trying to hold a strained home together while her spouse has been gone for six months. The setting is a close-knit town where private matters become public, and the pressure comes from unpaid bills, a leaking sink, and a light turning on in an older house nearby. The story also touches on cheating, asking how far someone might go to protect what remains and what they choose to conceal.
Development continues with version 0.8, dated October 31, 2026. The current release runs on Windows, Linux, and Android, and offers English and Portuguese language options. The game is uncensored, and this build presents the story as an ongoing adult visual novel.
Developer's description
The house is quiet. The husband is away for six months. The bills are due on the tenth, the kitchen sink has been dripping since March, and a light just came on in the old house at the end of the street. Helena has always been the one who holds everything together. But in a small town where everybody knows everybody’s business, someone always knows a little more than they should. How far would you go to keep it all together? And what are you willing to hide?
