Shooting Star

Simple story, but pretty realistic, have some romance parts and visuals are good and i like happy endings. Short but good and at least completed (~1,5 -2 hours max). Not bad at all for first game like dev stated Cheers

Shooting Star Review If anything, the dev wants to tell a story. A story of how people overcome their past to become new people. That worked, for the most part. Shooting Star was a mildly enjoyable experience. The main story is the strongest part of Shooting Star, but it does have faults. Support characters are flown in and out at will while two main characters remain. It's a story of fear and love, with a sprinkle of lust. I feel as if with more effort the story could have been told even better, but you get the gist of what's happening. The rendering is medium quality, but a bit noisy. The game offers enough renders and switches between both first-person and third-person perspectives. The latter half of the game actually seems better furnished and framed, which shows the dev really cares as the story picks up. It's a fairly small game - completed in about 1.5 hours. Story choices give the illusion of change, but they are really just variations to the same road. Since the base story is good, that's really not a problem here. There are sexual scenes in there, which are about what you would expect from a game like this - but they seem a bit randomly placed. I'd definitely recommend this if you're looking for a small VN to have fun with and enjoy some story. Three to four stars, probably four because of the effort developer made.

v1.0 Pretty much a short story. Theres effectively only 1 love interest, your childhood bully of sorts(wasn't further elaborated) who is a victim of abuse herself when she was younger. Plot deals with building a relationship with her and confronting her trauma & her past, dealing with your own messy life(out of job, homeless) and getting shit together. Theres 2 other women who serve more of supporting character role. Very minor role unfortunately. Renders, models and animations are just about average. Lewd scenes are few and vanilla stuff. Short and sweet, it was a good read. The theme and setting is the highlight and dev nailed the approach. I wish more devs tackle similar themes from a serious narrative angle, a deeper look into the crux of the issue rather than the turning it into a fuckfest. Due to the length, probably dev intends it to be a demo of sorts before he dwell into a full fledge title. He has potential i'd say.

This is about as average as it gets. Don't get me wrong, it's not terrible. Some effort was definitely put into this game, but it's pretty clear that the art, especially the character models, are now woefully outdated. This VN probably would've been worth four stars in 2020 or 2021, but today, it just looks so bland compared to the top titles in the genre. Story is your traditional dead dad, mid-20s loser MC who moves in with childhood bully and they grow to care for each other story. It's not particularly original, but apart from some misspellings and grammatical errors, it's not riddled with Engrish, although every character is pretty laconic (which is fine if the dev isn't a native speaker. It minimizes mistakes that way and this is ultimately more a show rather than tell medium). Overall, this is worth a try if you're looking to kill some time, but it's probably not going to be a title that I'm going to come back to.

tried it, expected more. I mean the renders are not that good, but the game is 2 gig big and still very short... and kinetic tag is really missing. You dont have choices in the game (just one and you can pick between yes and hell yes oO) Other than that the starting "premise" seems to be interesting... but it all depends is you care for Sofia... if you dont care for her, the whole game doesnt work. And thats the case for me. And it is kinda strange how the "sex" happens in the game... first time basically "hello, let me suck you" by a complete stranger girl during work and after one kinda deep conversation with sofia they fuck too... huhm... dont know, why? doesnt make sense, felt weird too. And the sex scenes are just bad... very short movement loops as animations, the models are not appealing either, to be honest, at this state it would have been better without the sexscenes... they kinda ruin the premise of the game. A slow burn would work better here. But for that the writing is not good enough either. You notice very quick that english is not the primary language of the DEV. And that he doesnt make proof reading or dont have anybody else to do it. I give 3 stars cause its not a "dumb" game or anything like that, there are far worse games out there... but its not really "average" more below average... but "poor" would a bit too harsh rating i think. But overall i must say, i dont see this going anywhere, 1,5 years already gone, not much content (maybe 1 hour with good will), render quality is not really good and wrong compression too. (a game looking like this shouldnt be bigger than 500 mb) At least you can say, the dev is active, and putting some effort into it...

Review of V0.08 Extremely good beginning. Good story, interesting characters, very good art, minimal animation. Lots of typographical and grammatical errors. Not very long yet but there is one BJ. There are at least two LIs and possibly more.

I LOVE this story and I recommend it to all who may be curious. If you are one of those people who, while reading an AVN, rest your hands on your keyboard and not in your crotch, then I do believe there's a very good chance you will not be disappointed in the slightest here. I love the characters, the simplicity and the heart-warming emotions. I love the outrageously unfortunate and therefore initially disillusioned and directionless, innocently unwitting knight in shining armour and the tragically neglected, outwardly tough as nails, inwardly broken down and all but beaten damsel in distress. The characters look proportionately good, neither glamourous nor plain but nevertheless definitely handsome enough and beautiful enough to satisfy the "adult" aspects of the novel. Overall, the settings and renders are by no means spectacular, but most certainly get the job more than done. I LOVE the characterization too. This is very quietly and unassumingly outstanding. Characters come and go with the minimum of fuss and need for explanation and just fit in naturally. For example, I feel that everything about Liz's entrance and initial input (including her very early intimate scene with the mc) is well nigh perfectly handled and to brilliant effect if you ask me. All of the ancillary characters are neither introduced with fanfare nor, once there, elaborated upon and yet they just turn up as appropriate and fit naturally, seamlessly and totally unobtrusively right into proceedings. I also liked the little set piece touch of opportunist humour over the mc's "generosity" in "paying for" the coffee after the meeting between the mc and Susan breaks up. That was a subtle yet extremely effective setup and, to me at any rate, says a lot about the quality and inventiveness of the mind of this dev. I'm looking forward to future instalments and I'll be looking, as is only fair, to support at some point along the way in itch.io (who I admittedly have no experience of yet) or possibly Patreon, although with Patreon's seeming increasing constriction of the rules relating to "propriety", I'm leaning further and further away from them and more and more towards the likes of Subscribestar, who I like much less, but who are clearly and properly more creator-orientated and therefore flexible in their outlook.

Not too much content yet, but what is there is good: Writing is fine, story is good and focused (but not very surprising so far), choice of models is good, LIs are interesting and relatable. Thanks and good luck to the dev, hope they will continue.

Good game, decent renders. Models used are pretty much we have seen in many games kinda outdated. But that being said I enjoyed playing this one, nice story going on. But not that much content here. If you are here for lewd content you will be disappointed. This one is a slowburn. But not many things are revealed for now. Seems like main female lead had a hard past, she is suffering from it. Looking forward to next updates for knowing more about her. MC is not a jerk he cares that's also a positive. Writing have some typo errors. Overall it's a good game worth playing. For v0.3: Nice characters, looks like going to be a nice romantic story in trying to help damsel in distress. Really liked the porn watching on the laptop (◠‿・)—☆. Maybe you can develop the story by including more of the past scenes (ofcourse nonsexual) between the two main characters. Renders and animations are good.
