As a reminder, our older dev cycle would have had this and the last update combined into one release around this time, but the amount of scenes would’ve remained the same. In spite of the shortened dev time, the new scenes took the most amount of work out of all of our updates! Sound effects are my biggest weakness when writing the game but I want to improve! Gameplay - Shower - Cindy can now shower while at home. There’s currently no mechanical benefit to doing so, though. Might be in the future. There is a 50% chance to see a breast focused variation and ass focused variation. This is mainly to set the stage for future shower based scenes. The farm has been broken into two sections: Farm: Job - Once the farm is introduced in Act 2, Cindy can work a repeatable job at the farm for a bit of money. This job and others will be expanded on in the near future. I’m workshopping ideas to make jobs across the board more interesting with small things such as mini games. I’m not trying to make jobs tedious, however, so I don’t want to commit to anything unless I think it’s properly entertaining. Farm: Races and Horse Training - The farm progression and content has been rewritten from the ground up. Horses at the farm will be introduced once Black Cat has had one-on-one time with Reinar. Cindy can follow a linear questline to train Widow. Once she’s developed a bond with Widow, she can take him to repeatable races (not in game yet). As she progresses through scenes with him and their bond grows, more races will be unlocked. RNG from the races has been removed. Cindy will only attend races that she’s positive she can win. For degen gamblers, more ways to gamble money will appear in other parts of the game soon (hopefully next update!). Around ~30% of the game has now been checked and corrected, but the other 70% will take some time. v3.02 Gameplay Act 3 Begins - After defeating or seducing Electro and Hydroman, Act 3 will be available to start in Cindy’s home., Wardrobe Rework - Instead of a fully modular clothing system, Cindy will instead have a choice from premade outfits. “Upgrades” can be purchased for the majority of outfits that provide increasingly skimpier variations as long as Cindy has enough corruption. This will allow me to more easily implement future clothing and also tie events to certain outfits. I fully expect that some players may prefer the old system but I believe this is the right move to make the wardrobe options more interesting! Adjusted the event “Work: Front Desk” - After working here a few times, the Landlord will request that Cindy starts wearing a dress to entice customers. Cindy can oblige and will earn more money the sluttier her dress is. Cindy can earn as much as $130 a shift wearing the tier 4 dress at 60 corruption! This is a quick example of the events now possible with the new wardrobe system. Hovering over it will give the player guidance on how to get through the current act. The list updates as the acts progress so remember to check it a couple of times per act. I believe this will clear up issues with progression in Act 2, especially when it comes to charging the batteries and what-not. However, please let me know if you follow the instructions and still can’t complete the quest. Before, it was hard to know if the quest line was broken or if it was just explained really poorly! As a back up, revisiting the home instance once on a save that has adopted Reinar will now properly unlock both scenes. - Fixed the tailor sometimes sending the player to the front desk event. Now, Silk will appropriately remark that she has no reason to go there just yet. - A handful of typo corrections Thank you to everyone who reported a bug/typo! - Kanera v2.21 Christmas Update: We are looking for supporters to help update the black and white art in the game! — Story Changes— Early Game Rewrites - Much of the game has received rewrites of varying intensity and importance, with a focus on Act 1/Tier 1 content. As the majority of content is revamps of older scenes, this update is best experienced on a fresh save! For those that don’t want to, the majority of these scenes can be viewed via the Gallery. The following events are the ones most affected: The Introduction of the game, several Landlord scenes, and several Reinar scenes. The goal here is to provide higher quality content with better writing, pacing, and a more believable descent into corruption. Additionally, some of these scenes are written to foreshadow some content in the works! If you have any feedback feel free to let me know! Tier Changes - Tiers are now called Acts, complete with a title unique to each Act. This is functionally the same, but the name is a better representative of the progressing story. Electro and Hydroman can now be defeated. This can be done by seducing both of them with high corruption, crafting suits with help from Leo Zelinsky. In the future, you will be able to defeat them with the help of a love interest who ahs high enough bond. Warning: It was already possible to seduce Hydroman or defeat him with Black Cat’s help, but I recently discovered that doing so was not triggering the correct progression flag. As such, I heavily recommend starting from a save that has not defeated Hydroman! Not doing so won’t have any affect on this update, but could softlock you in the future once Act 3 is released! Additionally, players can now anonymously report bugs and leave update feedback by using the "Leave Feedback" and "Report a Bug" buttons in the game menu! —Characters— Jessica Drew (Spider-Woman) has been added to the game. She has an included patrol, but no scenes for this update. It does, however, set the stage for her upcoming scenes. Corruption and Relationship - Both have changed slightly in this update. All events now provide Corruption and Bond bonuses to Silk’s current cap, which is determined by which act she is in. Stat gains now have a nice little UI flourish to them. Relationship is now called Bond. — Gameplay Changes; Quality of Life— “Skip Day” and “Skip to Saturday” Button - For players that want to see the landlord or school scenes easier. This is available after the initial rooftop masturbation scene. Patrol Map - Added more character specific buttons. Pursuit missions are now started from the patrol screen. Added a button that quickly swaps between the superhero map and civilian map, removing the need to return home to change. Music/Sound Effects have been added to various scenes. I recommend adjusting your volume prior to starting the game. Most scenes are untouched, but will be added to later. I have yet to find tracks that I genuinely like, so most of these are placeholders. Additional Time Segment - There are now 5 time segments instead of 4 during each day: Morning, Afternoon, Evening, Night, and Late Night. More actions are available during Night. Almost no actions beyond Sleeping are available during Late Night. There is still an option to fantasize about certain scenes at home, but that will likely be removed in the future. I have written it so that scenes that have been viewed on a save will unlocked the next time the player goes home, so if you want to unlock scenes you have already seen without a new playthrough, just load your playthrough up and return home once. After that, the scenes should theoretically be unlocked permanently. Please let me know if there are any bugs with the gallery system! ---Minor Changes--- Rewrote various lines of dialogue to feel more natural After defeating Scorpion, all of his scenes are unlocked for Silk to fantasize about; not just the ones already experienced. Disabled the ability to "prevent relationship progress" with Black Cat and subsequently future characters.
