About STELLA

STELLA is a Ren'Py point-and-click adventure by eggrik, presented with animated 3D CG visuals and romance, humor, and harem themes. You play a male pre-med graduate from Pacifica Bay, California, a place called the City of Shooting Stars. After missing medical school entry on the first try and facing money problems, you take a dull job while preparing to retake the MCAT. Soon, you become manager of the idol group STELLA, learning the realities behind the idols.

The current build is v0.1.1, released on November 11, 2024, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android in English, with no censorship. The update improved the phone chat interface so names stay visible at the top, replaced many brief time-skip screens, upgraded the STELLA headquarters exterior, crediting Godsent for the Blender creation and Reddss for the HS2 port, fixed minor render clipping, and made multi-speaker dialogue use side-by-side text boxes that can share an optional background.

Feels like there's a ton of potential here but I don't think the dev has the time or focus to do much with it. It's been 17 months since the first release but it is supposedly still being worked on…

After finishing reading v0.1, I've concluded that this is a decent first attempt at an adult visual novel, with some caveats to the storytelling. The characters so far reflect known archetypes without being too familiar, and are all uniquely attractive…

I just checked out this game, and I have to say it has made a great start. Even with just 850 renders, it feels lengthy and likely has the potential to engage players. I’m curious about version 0.2
