Review at Day 12 Well, the game promises a lot, but is very slow to deliver. Since the dev has effectively removed the daughter from the pre-sandbox content (everything up to day 10), she is effectively written out as a LI - and in the most annoying way, with <3 options simply being greyed out. The content is still in the files though, and as such the game is inflated. Can't fault the graphics, in this day and age, its a wonder it isn't AI CG, but actual renders. Environment is also good, giving a good ambience. Story and writing is.. meh, sorry, but the idea of an zombie apocalypse just isn't a new one and the main mystery (where the wife went) still isn't being adressed as per day 12. Sorry, I remember this game from day 6.5 and it had potential, now its regressed and I'm giving it two stars for that reason specifically. Never provide less game than 1½ years ago.
The game has some logical issues at the beginning, because it seems to be focused on "not being to much grindy". But surprisingly it goes better and better with every new quest/day. The comic art is definitally for people, who like this kind of style...sometimes the models are looking a bit strange. But anyways, if you like the style, it seems to be perfect for you. The story itself is nothing new or mindsweeping...it's about a world after the brakeout of a virus that turns humans into intelligent zombies. Seen that several times on TV or the movies. But it's interesting, that MC is the only male human, who seems not to be infected...while his neighbour will be killed just at day one, because he has been infected....funny. Lucky bastard I'd say...not? The love route with the main-girl is decent and stepps up slowly, but not too slow. Well, she seems to be without any experience...therefore the speed is just right. On the other hand the heat rises up quickly with the experienced ladies...that's perfect. Well, all in all I'd give it 4 solid stars, because there is some room for development, but it's really not bad at all.
Honestly enjoy this! Looking forward to seeing where it goes next! The characters feel engaging, and the storyline isn't as predictable as you might guess. I'll check back in a few more updates, keep going dev!
259 / 5 000 Hello, very good survival horror game with neat graphics and a good atmosphere, the characters are well-developed but not boring, we are impatiently waiting for the sequel, good work, thanks for sharing, see you soon
Very poor writing. Really stupid storyline Characters that are piss ignorant and have no common sense. Nice enough looking models though the 'daughter' almost looks like an amazon next to the dad... Things like The city turning into a wasteland overnight. The police station that isn't located in the city has no electricity while everywhere else does. Scavenging for food but only taking a few items... The cop who hears a gunshot out in the country while she is still in the city driving around. Many...many more things....just dumb. Skip it. It's really bad
I love the models. I've played one or two games with this art style before and it's a breath of fresh air. That's the only good thing I can say about this one. The writing is bad, the pacing is bad, the characters have personalities that only vaguely resemble human personalities, and the 'game' itself is under-realised. That is to say it is really just a visual novel disguised as a game. I got bored and quit this before the first sex scene.
Despite the more unique bobblehead-esque characters, ultimately the writing proves it yet another lacklustre addition to this website. One of the most surprising parts of the AVN is how the visuals poorly match the actual descriptions. For example, the main character says that he was only gone for a couple of days, but when he returns to the city, the dev decides to use models of buildings completely destroyed and abandoned, no living person being seen anywhere. There are many other instances where the information we're given just totally clash with what we're being shown, and I'm almost shocked that this is one of the few I've played where it's so blatant. The story itself is clearly just a dollar store The Walking Dead, which isn't great when that story wasn't particularly interesting anyway. It even does the classic "protagonist has no clue what a zombie is" for some reason, as if we as readers enjoy watching idiots explain concepts that have been around for hundreds, if not thousands of years. The rest of the 'story' is dragged on needlessly, to the point where most of the time is spent just...talking about rabbits or vegetables. It's so intensely boring. There are other zombie games on here that do the "lets try and be realistic" thing much better, and unfortunately this is just incredibly tedious. I mean at one point, the dev literally has you watch the protagonist do 10 push-ups for a dare. One. At. A. Time. I mean if that's not the perfect example of the feeling of wasted time that this game represents, I don't know what is. Besides these errors and missteps, visually it isn't awful. Perhaps they simply bought some good models, but the lighting is pretty good, models look good, posing isn't bad. Ultimately, I would consider this a waste of time for people. It doesn't have enough sexual content to satisfy porn addicts, and doesn't have good enough writing to satisfy readers.
First off the writing is bad but it is not complete dog crap bad. Stupid, yes!!!! Dev. watched the walking dead, evident from the crappy knockoff of that shows mediocre storyline. Also its referenced in this game as well. Walkers are pathetic. Some are withered shriveled hulks that shuffle around others are virtually just grey humans with barely any evidence of being dead. Ummm, if they become this way from a wound (in the story at the beginning Hannah says so) then should there not be visible wounds? City buildings look like they are total wrecks but buildings in the country are undamaged, un looted, and still have power in most cases? Other survivors? Eva has no clue what a dildo is or even a male penis? Wife is missing with no clue. It was not that far out of the city that he traveled as evident with how quickly they run into fleeing cop Hannah. Well she disappeared somewhere between point A and point B and that don't leave many possibilities. The cop should know the ones around the city and Husband should know something around his own summer house you would think. The backstory makes no sense. No news of an infection makes it to him where he is? I am sorry, a virus breaks out in Africa and its in the news the next day at least world wide. His home initially still had power so the grid was still up. That would also be a good indication that structures relying on power would still be active as well. Most infrastructure has backup generators as well just for the event of power outages. No sign of that. Only generator you see is the one that burns through a can of gas a night. Yeah there is a lot to like in this game but it is all countered by just as much that is not to be liked. Hopefully the Dev. can pull a rabbit out from under a cardboard box and make some improvements to the story in future updates. I would like to see this game improve over time and not end up abandoned like a lot of games end up.
TLDR: Skip The Good: Renders - From a purely technical point of view they are pretty well done and the actual environments are well put together The Meh: Models - I'm actually pretty good with non-standard Daz models but these ones are just too weird. They have the look of a knock off Barbie or something similar? Animations - Pretty basic but there so I guess that's something? The Bad: Story - The plot is just completely silly right out of the gate.. you were away on a business trip and didn't notice your family had stopped communicating with you? Wha? So nobody outside of your home city knew ANYTHING about this zombie virus outbreak.. or if they did you were just so.. high on life? that you didn't hear them talk about it? Then when you get into the city some building exteriors look like they've been abandoned for years but your house is fine on the outside? Dialog - Seriously.. this is just so bad that I don't even know where to begin other then to provide my own (improved?) version of the first scene "Hello Citizen.. these are zombies.. we have zombie plague.. I give you gun.. you shoot zombies big manly man". It's so stilted and non Human sounding that if someone started talking to you in a manner similar to the dialog, you would slowly back away and call in the army because we done found the Imposters!
I find this game unplayable. The writing in this is terrible. I am not critiquing the English but the terrible dialogue. The dialogue feels like it's written by someone who's still in junior school. To give an example.... look out there's a zombie. *Bang* good thing I have a gun ha ha ha. Yes ha ha ha. Made my head hurt reading the dialogue. Maybe it will get better but I stopped and uninstalled only after chapter 2.
I'm a sucker for zombie stories. A good game with simple but interesting story. Writing is concise and not to superfluous but a little boring. Art is different but attractive. No animation. A decent amount of sex for such a short game. Has potential and a good start thus far. I updated my review from 3 stars to 4 for the present update. The sex scenes have increased significantly and the writing has improved a bit.
Review for Day 5 Alpha I just don't have the patience anymore for games that feel like they put absolutely 0 effort into their dialogue. Watching paint dry would probably be more interesting. The zombie apocalypse has broken out and our wife is missing. Why are the characters more or less acting like it's any other normal day? You'd think the MC would be freaked out and want to find his wife immediately right? WRONG. How could you even think about that when we have a daughter we can perv on? The completely lack of emotion is almost mind boggling. The daughter seems to be the trope of young and nonsensically naïve, who also completely lacks a brain. The MC is incredibly forgetful in every regard. The cop lady is somehow ready to hand an unknown citizen a gun immediately and is down to blow us after one conversation. Even the one sex scene I saw was incredibly basic. The game can be nice to look at if you don't mind the Pixar models. I don't even mind them myself. But literally every other aspect I find incredibly boring and uninspired. This is not worth my time, and it's probably not worth yours either.
As with most games, there are many areas where improvements could be made, but the overall balance is good. Graphics could be better, but have an undeniable stylistic appeal. The scene settings for each picture show some artistic flair. They serve the purpose. The story is another variation on the 'zombie apocalypse' genre, but there is a reasonable effort to give an original twist. Some of the dialogue is cringeworthy, but it generally stacks up well against most other offerings. The female characters actually have character and are not just slavishly besotted by the protagonist's mighty appendage. The updates seem a bit too well-spaced, but this will always be the case for an appealing game. There are plenty of other games with more frequent updates, but that fail to impress me. Overall, well done!
It seems like a lot of the dialogue was cleaned up in the latest release (Day 4 Beta). I'm probably one of the few that particularly enjoyed the art. The animation could use work. Other than that I honestly enjoyed the story and am excited to see where it goes. I'm tired of all your standard Daz3D models so this art style is a breath of fresh air with a story that seems to be headed in the right direction.
Artwork is great, plot is acceptable considering what it is, It moves fast and there are plenty of zombies. the (so far) 2 girls you have with you are both amenable to intimate relations even though one is your daughter but she is rediculusly innocent but thirsty for you. I particulary like her model ( yes her eyes are too big but I still think she is cute) The problem with it moving fast is you play through it rather quickly. Definitely gonna d/l next release.
I love horror games, and I really wanted to like this game but it's just not something I can get behind. I'm all about realism and some game can get away with it but not this one. The models are creepy to me, daughter has thick thighs: A+ fat ass: A++ But when you see her head, face and eyes it's like fantasying over one of those Bratz dolls. What's worse is that the father looks like a normal human being, the mother and daughter apparently got nuked or something who knows but it's a turn off. Love the theme, hate the characters.
Honestly its hard to rate this fairly. The Dialogue is terrible.. it's incredibly stilted, everything feels disjointed, and fake. I found almost every comment jarring which meant I just clicked though the scenes and tried not to look at the text. There were also issues around the plot, I was left wondering how daughter/tenant by herself, how did she get to the holiday house on her own? Motivation wise things just seem to happen with not a lot of cause, or thought. This game makes more sense using the landlord/tenant relationship, and even then... I'm not going to rant about this. There's a scene where a girl is on guard duty and decides to masturbate, se does not just loosened her pants , but instead takes them completely off, when a helicopter flies over, so she jumps up and starts he start running around trying to summon the helicopter aback... with no pants on,.... Now, perhaps she just has her priorities straight, rescue then modesty, but most people would be pulling their pants on before waking everyone up and... ugh no ranting... This who series of events just felt meh. Stuff happens and it feels like there's no cause and effect in play. Writer wants a naked girl writer makes girl naked, and later remembers that perhaps she needs some modesty. This was not the first or worst of these scenes but it seemed like a good one to make a point with. IF your in it for the renders and this style is your thing then the renders are excellent. If you need average or better motivation/dialogue... skip it. It is possible that my issues get fixed but I think a writer would need to go over the dialogue from the start.
Game that looks really good in these few initial versions. The characters soono stylized but they are great. The game mode is mixed, alternating between visual novel and sandbox. I personally appreciate this kind of game mode!
Game Version: Day 3 Alpha) While its current release is quite short, this game definitely shows promise. The renders are great and I'm a big fan of the stylized models of the female characters. A breath of fresh air compared to your average Daz3D figures. My only real gripe was when your "tenant" discovers you have an erection and doesn't know what it is. I'm not sure how believable it is that a grown woman wouldn't know about that, unless she was maybe raised Amish or in a bunker by a religious cult. She watches The Walking Dead but doesn't know what a penis is? Other than that I'm excited to see where this goes- hopefully we will find MC's wife sooner rather than later.
Alright for a first game, dialog needs some work though, this is porn level writing, which is not a deal breaker of course but it does drag the game's rating down. I just hope the dev does not spend years on this as I'm pretty sure they can come up something better with more experience down the line.
