About Taking Pictures Secretly
Taking Pictures Secretly is a Japanese 3D animated strategy game by Benihime, built in Unreal Engine and voiced. You play a university graduate who cannot find a steady job and works part-time in a dull routine. Their only hobby is shooting landscape photos and posting them online. A direct message changes things: someone asks them to take lewd photos of Michiru, a 28-year-old who owns an esthetic salon. Although the protagonist expects trouble, they end up going out with a smartphone, turning the request into voyeuristic photography and strategy decisions.
The game is ongoing, with the v1.00 build released on February 6, 2025. It runs on Windows and is presented in English. The available build is uncensored, with a patch noted. Players can expect a 3D animated presentation, voiced scenes, and a strategy focus around voyeurism and exhibitionism.
Developer's description
The protagonist, who failed to find a job after graduating from university, became a part-time worker. They were leading a monotonous and uneventful life without much excitement. The only thing they did was to casually start taking landscape photos and posting them on social media. Then one day, a DM arrived at the protagonist’s inbox: “Please take lewd photos of her in my place. I think you might enjoy this request as much as, if not more than, I would.” It was a request for voyeuristic photography. The target’s name was Michiru, a 28-year-old woman who ran an esthetic salon. Thinking that nothing good would come from getting involved, the protagonist intended to ignore the message. But before they knew it, they found themselves heading out into the city with their smartphone in hand.
