About The Cure for Madness

The Cure for Madness is a Ren'Py adult visual novel by GrumpyGranny, using animated 3D CG art. It is set in a modern Lovecraft-inspired world. You play as Alice Moore, an Arkham University student, and other protagonists. She and fellow students go to fictional Virginia City, where dreams and reality begin to break down, bringing horror, cheating, and netorare as she works to save her brother, friends, city, or herself.

The current build is Chapter 9 Part 1, released April 16, 2026, and development continues. It is available for Windows, Linux, Mac, and Android, in English, uncensored. Recent changelog notes say Chapter 8 animations were fixed, new scenes were added to the replay gallery, and a save import bug was addressed.

Developer's description

Set in a modern Lovecraft universe. Alice Moore, a student of the famous Arkham University, is searching for a way to reverse her brother's deteriorating mental condition. She and some fellow students travel to a fictional Virginia City. However, things are not how they seem to be, and the city will soon plunge into madness and terror, as the boundaries between her dreams and reality start to crumble. Will she be able to save her brother, her friends, the city... or herself? It's up to you...
