The Desperado's Redemption is a fantasy adventure RPG from Polaris Spirit Studios, built with RPGM and animated 2D and 3DCG art. You play Russell Jones, a highway robber whose greed pushes him and his lover Anastasia toward the capital. After they plunder carriages belonging to Pope Malthus of the Luminance Theocracy, Russell is exiled to a Marish Sea penal colony, while Anastasia is sentenced to burn for heresy. He vows revenge, and a mutineer prisonbreak may let him lead an uprising against their oppressors. Gameplay includes sandbox exploration and turn based combat.
The current build is v0.1, an initial release dated May 23, 2025, and development is ongoing. It runs on Windows, is in English, and is uncensored. The latest update added the initial release.
Developer's description
Russell Jones and his heretic lover Anastasia are walking the razor’s edge. While once they were content to rob travelers on distant provincial roads, Russell’s greed now drives him to pursue more profitable targets on the capital’s highways. After they plunder the carriages of Pope Malthus, leader of the Luminance Theocracy, they’re quickly captured and put on trial. Malthus exiles Russell to a distant penal colony on the Marish Sea, while Anastasia is sentenced to be burned at the stake for her heretical crimes against the theocracy. Russell swears revenge against the Luminance Pope, and when a crew of mutineers stage a prisonbreak at the penal colony, he might finally get his chance to fulfill his bloody promise. But will Russell be able to lead the Marish Sea's people in a desperate uprising against their oppressors? And are he and Anastasia entangled in something much more sinister than they understand?
