"The Last Year " is a visual novel & sandbox game that blends teenage drama, romance, and mystery. Players take on the role of a male student in his final year of high school, making choices, building relationships, and facing the final chapter of school life—one that will never come again. You play as a MC who’s forced to move back to your small hometown after living in the big city becomes too expensive. Your mom sets you up with a cheap apartment and you end up spending your final year of high school there. What kind of memories will you make? That’s entirely up to you.

Great Art and Animations, the story is pretty decent as well. Reina for Life. There are slight translation bugs here and there but nothing major or game breaking. Dev definitely deserves more support, will recommend.

It's alright (for a sandbox). Don't expect anything to groundbreaking. The girls look good (polished standard HS-good), the plot is quite slide of life (until they throw in a certain plot line revolve around sci-fi stuff). The grind is bearable. The MC is nothing stand out. I feel like this is the combination of solvalley school (minus all the sharing) + agent 17. Oh one plus one is that Dev update monthly, and the sub feel on pantreon is only 1$. And the animation scene is smooth. So for now 4/5 for me.

This is one of the few games that are sandbox and at the same time fun, interesting and at the same time you are encouraged to explore it without getting bored, the story is interesting, I hope you don't give up and leave the project and that you can move forward. good luck to the dev

In my opinion, one of the best and most promising games, which definitely deserves attention. It perfectly combines beautiful models, good animations, enjoyable gameplay, and a rather interesting narrative. Although the game is still in its early stages of development, it already has more content than many games that have been around for years, which also gives the game a very high score. I'd also like to point out that while there is grinding in the game, it's not as heavy and boring as in most games. It doesn't force you to spend hours farming money or stats, which, in my opinion, is the correct use of grinding as a game mechanic, because grinding shouldn't be annoying. Of the negative aspects, I would like to note the rather complex and not fully finished mini-games and quick-time events, which require a very quick reaction and not everyone will be able to pass them the first time.

Unfortunately the writing just isn't there. Perhaps it's the translation but the dialogues are incredibly clunky, like cutting tomatoes with a hammer. Every interaction suffers from this and the reason for why things are as they are is incredibly convoluted. Until this is fixed, I don't see a future for this game.

The game has potential, but it's riddled with minor bugs that make it difficult to fully enjoy, and the sandbox mode is awful too—it's incredibly difficult and confusing to find each girl and figure out what you have to do. They should simplify the sandbox.

In the early parts of the story, the CG art made me realize how old it was. But I saw an improvement as the story went on. It seems like the dev is trying to improve, and I think it gets much better if you can get past the early CGs. Each girl has her own clear personality, which made me have to think carefully to avoid a bad ending. But I still got one on Yuri's route, lol. The content is still short, but I like that the dev promised there will be no NTR, which I'm not a big fan of. I don't want Kyoko to end up with some creep or something In the end, I think the story is still short, but for me, it wasn't bad to try. I saw the dev mention that there is a harem ending too. That makes me hopeful and I'm looking forward to it GL!

Its a a good game forst a 1st time project. Start language shouldnt be non-english. I was only able to change language settings, because I have played so many AVNs... Female character are pretty and seem somewhat diverse.. BGM sounds weird sometimes. For example the afternoon one. Sounds like from a horror game, its weird... Dialogues are ok for now. They seem to lack a bit of soul. But i cant expect novel-like writing from every dev... And holy shit do I hate sandbox. Its a freaking drag to find your way to any kind of girls. School has 1-3 floors, left, right, no idea where to go... its annoying... Also please turn off the sound after choosing a direction. You have to click like 100x a day and the constant sounds are making me aggressiv lol Good luck with the project dear Dev.

It's not a bad game, visually it's pretty, the girls look pretty decent although at times the animations look slightly blurry. Perhaps the "weakest" point of this is the story... the theme of an MC who comes to school, meets girls and... nothing more, just meets the girls, talks to them and follows their paths is very generic. events, but there is no general story that unites everything, a reason why I should care about the MC or the girls, that added to the sandbox-type gameplay makes it somewhat tedious. Tip: It has potential, but try to make this look more holistic, not just another generic MC who meets girls and has sex with them, but a story that serves as a backbone for all the others, and try to use the objectives screen More directly, most people don't like to spend 3 hours "looking" for events everywhere.
