Chapter 8
We're happy to announce that with the release of Chapter 8, The Libido Enigma is now a completed visual novel! At least for Part I. We are working on a sequel that is tentatively titled, The Libido Enigma: The Fountain of Youth.
Chapter 7
There are a total of 7 intimate scenes. But the most you can see in a single playthrough is 3. This is because of the branching point that happened in Chapter 6 ("The Decision"). If you want to see everything, you will need to go back to Chapter 6 and choose a different love interest. Using CTRL or TAB to skip the material you have already seen will make this quicker.
Because of the point above, I have added the ability to name your saves. This way you can keep track of which path your current save is associated with.
Chapter 6
776 renders
It's also the most complex chapter with many branching routes.
Chapter 5
Contains the new Chapter 5, and it also contains the rest of the game, including a mildly refreshed Chapter 1. Most of the changes to Chapter 1 are cosmetic in nature, so you do not need to replay Chapter 1 if you don't want to. These changes were mostly intended for new players.
Chapter 4.0
N/A
Chapter 3.0
Besides the new chapter, many of the images and animations in the previous Chapters 1 & 2 have been enhanced and improved. There is no new story content in those Chapters, so you do not need to replay them if you don't want to.
Chapter 2.5
Isabella's place with wine (when you ask about her personal life). And the dialogue throughout and after the intimate scene at her place.
When you look at Brooke's secret website while in your office.
The entire scene with Brooke at the hotel. This starts just prior to the scene in the transition from the previous scene (at the main character's place). The hotel lobby and the hotel room have totally different dialogue throughout. There are about 30 new images in the room as well as a new player choice. This choice has potential future consequences, so if nothing else, you should skip to this choice and then make a new save after making your decision.
Chapter 2.0
For those of you that played Chapter One, I did make some minor stylistic changes to Chapter One, but nothing in the plot or dialogue has changed at all, so you do not need to go back to Chapter One. Basically, while developing Chapter Two I figured out how to do a nice subtle zoom in effect with the renders, and so I went back to Chapter One and added that effect to a few key renders for emphasis.
Chapter Two is significantly larger than Chapter One. Just by render count it is 495 versus 360.
Also, the mysterious Brooke has been promoted to the main cast (seen in the image for this post). She is featured in Chapter Two, as is our other mystery woman, Giselle. Chapter One was released on February 28, so it has been a little less than 6 weeks between installments. I'm very proud of being able to release this new chapter so quickly.
v1.1
First release.
Harem Ending Game is pretty solid overall, I enjoyed. I never found myself bored of reading. According to earlier comments in the discussion the Dev decided to have Brooke as an escort.... Isabella wasn't an escort but the Dev had her wrote as someone who had MULTIPLE guys that she would use for booty calls frequently...... I played after these changes were already implemented and the game complete. LUCKILY! The Dev listened to "Feedback" and did change these two characters' story. Spoiler So Brooke is now just a stage performer every Friday night that sings and dances/acts. And Isabella does mention past relationships that failed however she doesn't mention having sex with multiple people on the regular. The changes to these two characters is greatly appreciated by myself and makes them a lot more appealing. My only real issue is that I wish there was a full group scene with Harem end. There is a few threesome scenes with different girls. Game does end a bit soon, but I do think it ends at a good spot. Also, its never really stated but Isabella is the Queen Bee I guess, which fits imo. Also another SUPERB decision from the Dev is NO LESBIAN. I don't really mind girls interacting with each other during group scenes, if it's ONLY during scenes with the MC. Although if given a choice I will always avoid any form of lesbian content. Just not my cup of tea. I'm one of the weird guys who feel like lesbian content between two LI's not including the MC IS netorare. Even if the MC in the game says he doesn't mind, I as a player DO NOT like it and don't want to see it. SO huge thank you to the Dev for not even putting Lesbian content in the game. Hope this Dev makes another game soon and it contains the same style/focus this game had. TLDR: Game is good, kept me entertained. Sex scenes are decent. LI's are all pretty damn good. No Lesbian content at all is a huge plus for me.
The story is really solid even if it does bog down from time to time with peculiarities that don't really drive the plot. But this sort of thing, combined with 'a few days later' or 'next week' helps to give the story a sense of realism in a porn VN. It's a little more believable that some of these things happen over the course of weeks and months. The art is very good, though sometimes the facial expressions are very offputting. Still this is a top notch game and well worth the time. I went with the harem route, but I kind of want to replay it and see what the differences are with other choices. Especially since you don't see the twins after you choose the harem ending, I can't help but wondering if there was more twincest content locked behind their choice.
Some scenes are hot and well done with details other are not ,the major problem that doesn't give this game 5 star is that is all vanilla there are no spices the only thing more than normal sex is anal there are only two sex scene out of house but is secluded places .They give no thrill ,it is like the dev has a good skill in drawings but lack in fantasy .He only know some different positions of straight vanilla sex and anal always in the same positions.Even girls don't do anything between them but only with the protagonist ,it could have added some spice .I would give 4 stars cause some fuck ae still hot and some camera sliding too ,Some faces are not(best one is heather's probably that really seem a sex face) and the first part it seems he is fucking barbies doll but it improves going on .Still I want to be generous and give it 4 stars for good intentions but he should improve ideas, spicy scenes and fantasy, fancy, immagination in future games otherwise I'll go back to 3 stars...
Giving this one a 4, since I can't give it a 3.5. It's fine. I didn't super love any of the characters, but the setting was at least interesting. It felt rushed from plot point to plot point. But it did have a conclusion. Graphics were... fine. Music was all right. I certainly didn't hate anything about the game. But I'd have a hard time defending it.
It's not bad. A little generic, but it's a fun little time-waster that gets right down to business. It's a porn game that's aware it's porn and is only a little smarter about it than it needed to be. I can see why it might've set some people off, as it's got a weak ending and most of the female cast come off like scientist brains transplanted into bimbo robots. But hey, it's porn. Don't stress over it.
2.5 out of 5 for me .Story is not that great just ok .THE CHOICES FOR HAREM PATH IS NOT GOOD .Dev has specifically selected girls himself for harem path which is not ideal for a player .It should be the player who gets to decide which girl will be in harem or not .After choosing harem path ,Stupid talk takes place among the girls like experimenting ,like wtf is that .Just write that all chosen girls are okay with being in harem and accepting mc as only their only love.Creampie scenes are missing in many sex scenes after selecting inside her ,cum in pussy is not shown .I like creampies personally .In this game Creampies are there in some sex scenes but not all .I would like it if it were in all sex scenes plus there should be more cum in pussy and color of cum should be more white .if these areas could be improved then only I will feel this game to be one of best on my list ,which it is not .
English :............ 8 /10 User Interface :..... 2 /10 User Experience :.... 7 /10 Art :................ 6 /10 Dialogue :........... 2 /10 Story :.............. 2 /10 Opinion :............ 2 /10................ Avg:............. 4.14 /10 [2.07/5] Here we are again. Another game with zero quality control in terms of visuals and UI. I don't know who needs to be told this, but every creature in this, aside from maybe Isabella, is borderline horrifying to look at. The MC especially. At BEST he looks like Balthazar Bratt from Despicable Me 3. It's shocking how much so. The premise is MC works for a comapany that is trying to make a drug that enhances the female libido. Now, this may come as a shock to some people, but just because a woman doesn't want to sleep with YOU, doesn't mean her libido is low. Women think about sex just about as much as men. It also starts with a bunch of "as you know" dialogue in the most in-fluid and stiff way. And they don't even go into specifics either. MC is just like "Yes, fellow human, there were troubles before this point but I'm glad trials are starting." And Emily responds with "My parents got a divorce because sex and my mom's sex drive was to blame" What? I mean, I know I'm paraphrasing, but come on. Stiff dialogue, stiff posing, less than stellar writing. I really hope this turns "so bad it's good" but I'm not holding my breath. And I started this review while reading a previous version, so apologies if this seems a little disjointed or hard to follow. Spoiler: Spoiler Heavy Review The story starts with Emily prancing through the halls. Telling her back story, as if it matters. And this whole scene makes it look like some Lifetime or Oxygen TV show. "She's just so happy and proud to work here everyday!" Finally, we meet our titular MC, Balthazar Bra-- I mean Dr. Dis--- I mean MC. With the weirdest shape of a forehead and the world ugliest mullet. And, like I said in the earlier paragraph, MC and her divulge a bunch of "as you know" dialogue to say how and why they're working at a company called LibSci(libido science). Meaning the ONLY thing they could possibly do is this. Anyway, after their back and forth, MC goes home to Miranda, the first nightmare creature he has sex with. She's jealous of Isabella for something that happened 10 years ago, presumably before they even dated. This marks the only possible section of the story with drama or conflict. Jealousy that will probably disappear due to the sex drug they make, and the fact she's cheating on MC. Usually, stories about science or tech of some sort do their best to at least make up some techno-babble about how it works or what it is. Every time it's brought up in this, however, they say literally nothing and almost avoid the topic. It's kinda funny, actually. The actual dialogue isn't, though. Like when Isabella insinuates MC hired Emily for her looks, instead of just a "wink wink, nudge nudge" type line, they very verbosely talk about their past relationship and MC acts like a prude. More than likely to give him some moral high ground or to make it seem like it's all the women that pulled him to the eventual depravity. I'd like to remind everyone that the sex drug hasn't been finished yet and all the women are already horny ALL the time. So why are they making the drug? And then Miranda is found to be cheating on MC. WHICH THEY REMOVED FROM THE GAME. How spineless can you be to remove the ONLY two sections of any emotional impact in the story? Now you don't find her cheating MC just says he talked t her. Fuck that. She needed more sex than MC was giving, I guess. Really gotta finish this drug, seeing as all the women just aren't horny, huh? And Miranda isn't even smart about it, which makes MC even dumber. I understand tunnel vision from someone that works hard, but this is just being stupid. Then, cut to the next day, Emily says there's something wrong with the drug. I guess I should commend this for having SOME sort of problem, but the problem is gonna end up being the drug only makes women that react to it want sex with MC or something. This also does a LOT of EXXXTREEMMEE CLOSE UPS. I really don't need to get that close to any of their faces. Especially when they're not in a good spot in frame. You should really only do it for special cases or when you finally made a facial expression that doesn't look awful. What's worse is the end of chapter one ends on one said close-up, introducing a character that the player HAS NEVER SEEN BEFORE. Why are they introducing Brooke this way? It should have been meeting her normally, THEN seeing her dolled up to generate intrigue. Now we already know she's not what she seems. After that, because this isn't version 1 anymore, it dryly cuts to isabella inviting MC to watch a clinical trial. He, an I assume, seasoned researcher, is about to release a drug and is a very by-the-book person, is ignoring an issue that happened in basically the last scene. So stupidity, incompetence, and ineptitude are his character traits. Great. And if not then criminal negligence. He even goes to find Emily to talk or ask about the data, then completely disregards the conversation because he's one of the previously mentioned traits. And even though this is a drug that could cause sexual addiction, he just waves it away and invites his lab tech that makes googly eyes at him all day to live at his place. Weird, to say the least. This is also the point the game shows just how oddly jacked MC is. Muscle sliders almost at max, can't reach his back, invisible lat syndrome type jacked. I don't get the need to make characters this way, especially for someone you want a player to self-insert as. It's comical as best, but that's more an "AVN's as a whole" issue, so whatever. Later, you get the Isabella scene. She literally disconnects her head from her neck to throat MC's near comically large penis. It's a disturbing image and made me giggle. Leading to meeting Giselle. Giselle is a whistleblower that got shut down and fired. And In the middle of the conversation MC yells in his mind "I'm not normally attracted to women like this" and to that I say "shut up." If a woman has a decent bone structure, that's all guys like this will need to be attracted to. What he means is "Girls that dress like this usually have an opinion that I don't like so I never get to have sex with them." Then, MC goes into Brooke's purse to know what she's doing? Excuse me? This guy is an actual scientist that has three women frothing at the gash for him and had sex in the last 24 hours. Why is he acting like some nosy neighbor or pervy teen about someone he occasionally works with? If it was established that they are good friends or have a past of SOME KIND, sure, I can see wanting to know what that's about. But They've had one conversation and it's none of his business. You, the player, don't even get to see her acting or dancing and are rewarded with a sex scene that Brooke initiates. Again, women are the ones that have initiated EVERY sex scene, but women need this drug he's creating? After that he meets with Giselle again. Remember? The woman that contacted MC about a problem with the drug? When MC relays the information about the problem happening in people, she blows it off because suddenly it's boring? SHE was the one that found this out. SHE wanted something to be done. Why is she now a party girl that just wanted to throw herself at MC? Then Dev interjects about Brooke originally being an escort. Lo and Behold, the man-children that play this can't handle the fact that a bundle of pixels have other sexual partners and they complained the story beat to oblivion. The option to just reject her exists. So instead of rejecting her, you moaned to make the developer change their game. While I have many complaints about the game, it's still THEIR vision to make something they want. Why didn't they remove Miranda cheating (They did) and the sex crazed wife too? Oh, it's because you liked that model and couldn't deal with a 3D model saying they had other sex. Gotcha. Moving on, Emily moves in for a weekend. A bunch of empty nothing interactions later, MC tells her about the sex-crazed woman. And he says "We can't tell anyone there might be a cover up" UH, YES. You, MC, are doing the cover-up. You are the creator and have SIGNIFICANT evidence to suggest the drug has drastic effects! This is so dumb. I get wanting to finish, but come on. HE is the head of developing this. It's now his responsibility. He has inarguable proof that there are issues. After this it's all his fault. And we're not talking about slightly heightened sexual urges, it's full blown sexual rampancy. But everyone's playing it down as if women aren't into sex, even though every woman MC has met has tried to rip his clothes off. And shortly after, they jarringly discuss their backstory, hopes, dreams, trauma, and whatever else expository dialogue that should have come up BEFORE having the sex with him. Next up MC goes out with Brooke to learn about the "real her" but you learn nothing, she just invites him to her house for sex. Her glasses aren't even real and she has three personalities that she juggles. The ONLY reason she likes MC is because he didn't look at her boobs one time. They also reveal Julian is the culprit behind the 'cover-up' and he's gay. Sure. Then suddenly, Brenda, the sex-crazed woman from the trials finds MC and says that her husband was the one not fulfilling her? But this drug is for women that don't feel desire? EVERY SINGLE TIME they talk about women and sex, they can never get enough. I just don't get it. ALL of chapter 4 is them talking about talking about the issue. Not even actually talking about it, you read that right. And now Emily is a virgin that loves MC because...? He is her boss? There's no reason for her to like him beyond being a good boss. Right now he's covering up a drug test and sleeping with all the other women. To finally get to the conversation and Julian isn't even there? And they don't even talk about anything you don't already know? All that happens is MC's sleeping around get's found out. Which I appreciate, but something stupid is sure to happen. Which it does, Isabella comes over and pretty much rationalizes MC's terrible behavior then has sex with him. Really? MC will go to each girl, tell them what they mean to him, even though none of that was shown on screen at any point, and they will just require honesty from that point. Then the "cover-up" is resolved with one conversation and there goes the plot of the story? This is one of those "this could have been an e-mail" type things. They'd been building this problem since the beginning only for it to mean ABSOLUTELY NOTHING. Wow. How is there more to this game? Even WORSE, turns out the sexual rampancy is now the intended outcome and people didn't respond due to a bad batch? So NONE of the problems were problems, just miscommunication and a fault literally no one reading or otherwise could have known about. Man, writing is hard. And one of the girls mad at him for fooling around with other women has sex with him right there after finding out. Because this is how people behave. At Chapter six, all my questions are some variation of "Why is this still going?" All the problems are solved and time is the only factor. Even MC being outed as a slut isn't a problem so is this about to be three chapters of sex? With women that don't need a libido enhancer because their sex drives are at their peak but take it anyway because that's what the story is supposed to be about? Wowee. Giselle suddenly has a twin. And the first thing they do? Tell MC "No , we haven't swapped or shared a man before but you do the sex good so let's do that." Completely unprompted. Women need libido enhancers, I have to remind you. The twin even dies and shaves her head for it to be more apparent even though they want to be distinguishable. So they changed specifically to enforce the twin thing. Wow. Found the "problem" other company stole the drug to make their own. Okay. And it just abruptly ends after the celebrate winning after what obviously happened, happened. Lets be real, no one is gonna remember this. The dev couldn't stick to their guns because a bunch of insecure guys couldn't handle a promiscuous bundle of pixels. I't a little funny and sad for both parties. The English is fine, my eyes glazed over but I don't remember spelling mistakes, but the way people talked was weird to me. UI/UX? They added a font and the preferences screen is messed up so I docked a point. The Art is "Do you like bimbos?" And bravely default characters? They all felt empty and the videos were all grainy with a poorly stitched loop. The dialogue is completely "as you know" dialogue if not "all out time together has been off screen but I totally love you." The story is predictable corporate espionage. And I am just glad that it's forgettable because I won't remember this in a week.
Can't really give this a 4 1/2 (at least I don't think so. But really enjoyed this one! Unique, original story, which is rare in this medium. The characters were compelling, made you care about them, especially all the main ladies who were very well thought out and written. Very believable, even if the harem route, which I did choose, isn't as believable (Might be wrong, but I don't see any way IRL for something like that to actually work. I could be wrong, and correct me if so, but I find it unfeasible). The only beef I have with the ending, and this is the perv in me, I kinda wanted a massive scene with all the ladies for the harem route. Again, I'm a perv, but if that's my only "problem," then that's on me, not you broiler_x. Well done !
This review is for Part 1. Story is not bad its about pharmaceutical company and their team its very straightforward without too much drama which is a good thing. Mc is not a bad character he is a good guy. Main girls are beautiful with many different personalities. Overall not a bad game to play.
Perfectly playable, with a cast consisting of a bevy of buxom babes and a mullet wielding MC and lots of sex. Dialog is enjoyable with each girl gets their fair share of content. I've had a good time.
Boring. This game is boring. We have weird facial expressions, an MC that seriously needs a haircut and mediocre sex scenes, partly animated. The MC is also a pullout master. He pulls out without the player having an option. I hate that. Then there is the plot... Ignore it. I barely matters. What could have been an interesting game is an uninspired collection of renders tuck taped together by an uninteresting plot. Don't bother with this slop.
(Reviewed Ch.7 - I haven't finished all current content. This review represents about ~2-3 hours of content played) I think this game aspires to be more than what it is -- an unabashed f*ckfest harem game with shallow content and a convoluted story to deliver more H-scenes. If you are looking for a straightforward game that features nearly near-nonstop action, you can't really go wrong. Premise: MC is a longtime scientist at a bio-pharma company on the verge of a major breakthrough. Corporate espionage, blackmail and other challenges emerge. The Good ( ) Good diversity of girls with different personalities, body types and overall looks A ton of H-scenes -- the games progresses almost literally from H-scene, setting up the next H-scene, to H-scene. Repeat. Good amount of content Some animations during H-scenes The Not-So-Good ( ) The art / renders are nothing special -- the models and settings are mostly stock DAZ and you've seen them in other games Simple animations (although they get better in more recent updates) There's no challenge here -- very little drama leading into H-scenes, even with brand-new characters. Everyone throws themselves at MC. Story is pretty cliche at this point I'm not invested in the characters or story but happy to play it for the plentiful H-scene content.
I had some doubts at the beginning of the game, it was not a very enticing story, so I was mostly expecting a f*ck-fest with nothing else behind it. It’s still not perfect but the last 2 chapters (6 & 7) show that the background story is now as important as the love affairs, and that’s exactly what I want to see in an adult visual novel. Sex scenes are cool, but a good background story is primordial imo, too many AVNs started with a solid story before switching to a f*ck-fest because the dev had nothing to tell anymore but still wanted the money from his patrons. Here you get the opposite, the story was boring at the beginning, so we stayed for the love affairs, but then the story got really interesting ( we all want Max behind bars ) and that’s the reason why I’ll keep waiting for the next updates.
Mostly leaving a review to comment that it is absolutely wild to me that in a harem title with plenty of sex scenes that's ostensibly about people developing a female libido drug, there is exactly one (optional) throwaway scene that involves the use of that drug. At this point, it would be an entirely different game, but it seems like a bit of a bait and switch and waste of a premise. The porn elements are good, the characters are distinct and mostly enjoyable, the writing is decently polished and mostly good, but the pacing kind of sucks. There's plenty of content but you can skip or skim huge sections of dialog without missing any plot or character beats.
Review of chapter 6. This is a promising game. An interesting plot in the field of biotechnology. The MC's look is original, unshaven and with long hair (very 80's) and a bit older than in most other games. The main women are beautiful and there aren't too many of them, which I think will allow us to focus on them in future updates. Another positive is that the sex scenes are animated and varied. I also like the facial expressions of the women during their orgasms. It's also worth mentioning that so far there have been regular updates with new content, which I really appreciate. I can't wait to see what comes next.
I think this one is pretty mediocre. The story telling is fairly generic. The models are pretty generic, albeit very HQ generic. There's something off about the face of just about all of the women you meet. Whether it is something wrong with the mouth, the eyes, the expression, or whatever... they just don't click for me. Combine that with just about everyone having big tits, and I wasn't interested in any of them.
What is that start with Miranda? Why is that handled so quick and 99% off screen? So much missed potential. Especially because its not even clear if she has cheated. In that storyline is so much potential alone - more than in the rest tbh. Spoiler Then you are forced into a relationship with Isabella - what if I dont want that? Espcially because your are forced to say that you love her too? ... wtf? At least you can deny some of the other girls - even if that is not easy because of the Cruisemissile pussy syndrome of so many of these games. e.g. Giselle - I denied her all the time because I dont like the look of her and she still tries to fuck the MC. I only acted on Brooke and Shriya and denied all other woman. But its still hard - and then you get lines from Shriya "This is the first time I fucked someone during my job" .. sure thats totaly how she acted from second 1. Or that she wanted to fuck you just because you are in a relationship with Isabella - yeah great. The woman I dont want to date is the reason I can fuck the hottie i want to fuck. But for some reason after being forced to tell Isabella that I love her I am forced into stuff with Emily and have to unseal her. Maybe it gets explained but I skipped over alot because I wasnt interested in Emily at all. And especially because I had to fuck her after seeing Brooke - I wanted to taker her on HER room instead of Emily. All that for that forced drama to play out like that. That just sucks. After all that you can then just select 1 LI (because it all or nothing). The game is pitching something about a sex drug and that is not important at all - more or less a side story. Its all about forced relationship drama. Its a quite generic game with average models and some ugly facial expressions and compositions. Its not bad, but I dont think it taps its full potential.
The Libido Enigma is everything you didn’t know you were craving in a virtual novel—and then some. First off, the MC. Easygoing? Check. Charming? Double-check. He’s the kind of guy you could grab a beer with, but instead, he’s off on one spicy adventure after another, and somehow, you’re along for the ride. You’ll find yourself cheering him on, even when he’s knee-deep in drama, because—let’s face it—he makes everything look effortless. Now, let’s talk about the girls. Hold onto your seat, because these ladies are stunning . Each one has her own personality and flair, and the chemistry between the MC and each of them? Chef’s kiss . Whether it’s flirty banter, romantic tension, or ummm..more intimate moments, the connections feel as real as the digital world allows (or the Dev want them to be). And trust me, you won’t be able to choose a favorite—they’re all that captivating. And let’s not forget the visuals. Those renders? Great. Like, “I wish I could screenshot the Girls and put them on my wall” gorgeous. Every scene is detailed, with just the right amount of polish to make you feel like you’ve stumbled into a world of fun—except with more romance and intrigue than you probably expected from a visual novel. If you’re a fan of smooth-talking MCs, jaw-droppingly beautiful characters, spicy escapades, a good Story , and visuals that make you stop and stare (for all the right reasons), then TLE is a must-play. Highly recommend—just don’t blame me if you lose track of time...or...one of your numb hands. Only the animations could be a bit smoother and richer...but...that is a Story for another day....
This one falls in the middle somewhere for me. The story is pretty meh, where all girls fall for you instantly and even when the drama comes it is quickly solved and a bit out of the blue. I liked the corporate side of the story though, with the tests and all that. Choices seem to matter, but only a little bit. Writing is not terrible, nor great, like everything else falls a bit on the middle side. Character models and renders are good enough, with sometimes a bit of a weird composition (dev surely likes to show feet). Animations vary widely, with some being pretty good (like girl introductions) and some pretty bad (some of the sex scenes). It has music but I turned it off, and it only had one sound, so I can't really comment on that. Had no bugs in my run, which is nice. So, all in all, this one falls in the middle for me, not sure if I'll continue or I'll drop it.
Brilliant game...I tried to shag them all and ended up hurting all of them. I came away feeling pretty shitty about myself...it's definitely not my usual playstyle, however, they were all gorgeous in different ways. The best way to play this game is to choose one girl and be faithful to her...so multiple playthrough's are a must...certainly from my perspective.
