Everything about this game is done extremely well. The presentation, the visuals, the writing... BUT I just don't feel like the setting is chosen well for an AVN, at least for me. I don't get the point of why, before the "real" story starts, the MC has to loose everything he cares about and become a complete emotional wreck. Why? What exactly does this add to a game, where one of the main objectives is to sleep with a bunch of different women? I at least don't completely get that and instead of adding something it takes me out of the game. TLDR: I really do like some emotional depth and drama in my porn games, but I guess I don't like porn in my very emotional drama games. However if that is something you are looking for this game is extremely well done.
The Missing Part [Ch.4] - 3.2 / 5 - Not as good as advertised. This review represents my personal opinion and subjective experience with this visual novel. Because storytelling, art style, and character choices are matters of individual taste, your experience may differ. This is not a professional critique or a definitive guide—just one reader's perspective! High rating this must be a masterpiece, right ? Wrong. Prologue 1/5 - Story is not good, tried to push emotional connection, sadness, loss but the way it was delivered was lackluster, the writing is not that great. It tries to push an emotional roller coast on the MC , but due to poor writing in the prologue it fails on delivering anything, all you get is rolling your eyes at the mind numbing convo that is supposed to be love at first sight and loss at first and second time skip. Spoiler: Prologue review and everything wrong with it The start of the game you, MC a college student that looks like is in his 40's, talk to a friend on the phone, convo is boring and irrelevant you could skip it nothing would change. Exit the house, get's runed over but a girl on a skateboard, and you get in the dumbest convo in AVN history where you get blackmailed to pay for her skateboard or she takes you to the police.... masterpiece writing right here. And like the bitch that you are you go and buy her a new skateboard. The intro to this story is so bad that you can't immerse yourself at all, all dialogue is devoid of logic, soul or emotion the dev is pushing emotional music but the sound doesn't match the dialogue you can't create sadness with music while the dialogue is drivel. This should have been an emotional connection ? Or how I met the love of your life.... it felt like scratching a chalkboard. But alas after all that we get a time skip (like I said if you skipped the dialogue on that phone call at the start of the game you literally didn't miss anything, you can remove it from this game and nothing would change ). The dev is trying to push an emotional connection with Ella, which is now MC wife and has a baby, I feel nothing for this character, I am just waiting to see her gone at this point and wait to see where the 5 stars comes in this story because so far it is 1 star story at best. Now you thought the previous dialogue was bad just wait and see 10 minutes of dialogue about naming the baby... and then finally Ella dies and then we get a 8 year time skip. To be honest I am not even sad I am relieved, maybe the 5 star story will finally start ? To be honest this is the worst intro to a game, it could have been MC sitting on a bench talking to himself and it would create a lot more emotion and mystery, but no we got the worst 15 minutes intro in AVN history, home now the 5 star story begins, because my patience is running dry. Now the story continues as you as a single dad with a girl Madelyn that is supposed to be around 8yo considering the 8 year time skip, she should be a toddler yet she looks like she is 14yo, doesn't matter she gets hospitalized, probably this should make me feel sad ? Race of Life did it better the narration made me fell for the kid in a comma and a desperate dad trying to save her. The missing part seems to be why Ella, MC wife got sick and went away because the medics didn't know what caused her departure, and at this point why would I care, really, alas I am still waiting for the 5 stars story, maybe something interesting is coming. I know the Dev was desperate to communicate some emotions of loss but is was poorly done, I feel nothing can't wait for the story to move on as I could care less at this point, they were pushed into the story and got out of the story, it was intended to be a tear jerker or something, but the delivery of the story to this point was really bad, I have seen it done better, but this story irked me from the start, mostly because of the 100 5/5 stars rating when the story so far barely is a 2/5. The story has no narrative engine, nothing to hook you in, this whole story could be resumed to: - Rich guy MC meets obnoxious girl - Obnoxious girl blackmails MC to buy her a new skateboard. - Time skip - MC is married with obnoxious girl and has a baby girl - Obnoxious girl doesn't like the name MC wants, useless name the kid drivel - Obnoxious girl dies , cause unknown complete mystery, looks like coroners don't exists in this world. - Time skip 8 years. - Daughter dies too, same as Obnoxious girl. - 1 month later MC almost dies by Truck-kun, but has a vision with his dead Wife and Daughter telling him to move on. - Guys moves on on the same day, you meet 3 LI's same day right after Truck-kun. - Story turns into a dating sim, with trauma girls. - MC is on a quest to self healing and boning girls with some kind of trauma. Sex scenes are the nice aspect of this game, they span for a longer time compared to other games, and you can see they tend to evolve with multiple positions and even location changes. That is a plus, only if the prologue was told in a better way. This should be a lesson, never read the reviews, especially if they are a majority of 5/5, I was promised a fantastic story, top 10 AVN on this website but all that glitters is not gold , and the disappointment is real. It tries too hard to be a tearjerker, some kind of emotional rollercoaster, after it bombards you with all this trauma it then turns into generic dating sim with above average sex scenes. There are games out there that know how to explore trauma, I have noticed reviewers compare it to Leap of Faith, but this novel is not it, because one feels organic and this one feels forced just to make you say, ooh poor MC is suffering so hard let me do it again because being a single dad would be quite a cock block... in my honest opinion I started disliking this game right at the moment of that god awful skateboard incident and whatever mind numbing blackmail came with it. Final verdict: I personally dropped it, stopped reading after ch. 2 and skip played until the end, if you want to play it, lower your expectations and it will be a decent AVN.
Genuinely talented writer and artist. This is genuinely different from a lot of AVNs, leaning more into a romantic drama than most. The premise itself isn't groundbreaking, but the execution is fantastic. If you care about the writing in an AVN, it's definitely worth giving this one a try. It could use some edits, as people talk somewhat too formally at times, but that's nitpicking. Emotionally weighty in a way that's pretty rare in the medium. Not only that, but the writing is economical. The prologue, for example, isn't very long, but it hits like a truck and efficiently introduces you to the main cast. Every character has a distinct voice and personality; that should go without saying, but not really. It's actually difficult to write genuinely distinct characters who don't bleed into one another, but this was a success. Even the main character is given significant characterization, and this is often ignored. He's actually an interesting, cool guy on his own, and its believable that women would be attracted to him. That's pretty rare for some reason. Honestly, this could be a good TV show or movie. Without the porn, probably. The character models are also fantastic, probably some of my favorite designs. Avoids uncanny valley in a way a lot of higher rated VNs on this site do not. Some crazy background characters/art, though. Still, not the focus, and definitely not worth rating any lower than a 5 on this platform. Honestly, just read the prologue, and I think you'll be able to see if it's your kind of thing.
Okay...lets do this..phew : I honestly wasn t ready for what The Missing Part threw at me. I picked it up thinking it d be another solid VN with some romance and drama -- maybe a few spicy scenes to pass the time. Man, was i wrong. This thing hit me square in the chest and didn t let go. Right from the prologue, it doesn t pull any punches. You re thrown into MC s world after he s lost the one person who meant everything to him. The way jPk writes the grief... it s so real and quiet and heavy . No over-the-top monologues, just these small, crushing moments that make your throat tight. I remember sitting there, staring at the screen, feeling my eyes burn before i d even gotten far. By the time Chapters 1 through 4 rolled around, i was a complete wreck. Seriously -- grab at least two full boxes of tissues. If you ve got any heart at all, the tears are coming, and they re not stopping anytime soon. The story isn t just about wallowing, though. It s about carrying that empty space inside you while life keeps moving, and maybe --slowly-- finding ways to let other people in again. The three main girls aren t cookie-cutter love interests; each one has her own scars, her own reasons for being drawn to someone who s clearly still hurting . Whether you focus on one or let things overlap, every interaction feels weighted and true. Those tender moments -- a soft conversation late at night, a hand on your shoulder when words fail -- land so much harder because of everything that s come before. And yeah, the adult stuff starts showing up from Chapter 2 on, but it never feels tacked on. It grows out of the emotions, out of trust being rebuilt piece by piece. It means something. Awesome. Visually, it s gorgeous -- clean 3D renders, smooth animations, music that knows exactly when to fade out and let the silence hurt . But it s the writing that really gets you. jPk has this way of making pain feel almost beautiful without ever making it cheap or fake. There were whole scenes where i had to stop, wipe my face, and just breathe because it was too much. Ugly crying, the kind where your nose runs and you don t even care. By the end of Chapter 4 (and with Chapter 5 in progress as of now), i felt... raw, but also a little less broken? Like the game was saying healing isn t linear or easy, but it s possible, and sometimes it comes from the people who choose to stay. If you re sick of shallow stories in this genre and want something that actually treats feelings like they matter , go download it right now --just... have those tissues ready. Seriously. This isn t just a visual novel; it s something that reaches in and reminds you what it s like to feel everything. jPk, thank you for making something this honest and heartbreaking. It s stuck with me, and i know it ll stick with a lot of others too. Play it when you re ready. Cry your eyes out. Maybe feel a tiny bit less alone afterward. 5/5, no question. Bring the whole damn tissue factory for what s coming next.
This is something that you should give a try. It has amazing renders, amazing writing and most importantly one of the most compelling stories on this platform. I really cant recommend this enough! But don't expect a porn vpn. Try it if you want or feel like you want something more.
wonderful written story with great visuals, beautiful girls, brilliant music selection. Definitely no porn game, rather a romantic novel with some drama. Which is good. what I do not like: all the LIs fall deeply in love with MC but you have to decide rather early which girl you pursue. The character of the MC and his story do not allow to try a harem or betrayal path. And the LIs are all broken and sensitive. So it looks like you have to stick to your earlier decision and ignore all other opportunities. one minor point: frequent dialogues of 5 or more lines of text that do not fit in the text box. Does the dev not see this? apart from this: one of the best VNs ever
To begin with, I would like to say that this AVN has excellent graphics and music that create the right atmosphere. This is one of the brightest and at the same time saddest AVNs I've played. But it definitely hooked me completely. The story is beautifully written, excellent dialogue and the hints that the author drops add even more interest. I really hope that this is just creativity and does not have a reflection on real events, as was the case with the “leap of faith.” Great success to the author, inspiration and keep this level. Stories like this make you feel alive! Thank you!
I'm not one to write reviews, but this game got me crying my eyes out, it's not a porn game it's beutiful story about resilience and sorrow with some sex sprinkled on it. I got into it because of the nice models and found relatable characters that not only feel realistic but also touched me in deep places I never expected to be touched by a game here...
Great visual novel! I loved all the LIs, especially Hailey . Can you please make sure the rejections aren't too harsh? I know I'll end up seeing all the routes, but it hurts seeing the LIs get hurt since I liked them so much .
Very well written game with a mature narrative and impeccable attention to details. The game doesn't follow the same tired tropes like SUPERPOWER COLLEGE KIDS IN SECRET ORGANIZATIONS FROM PARALLEL WORLDS The characters actually have character, aren't just bland cheerleaders like you usually see here. Thoroughly enjoyed this one.
Soon to be added to the list of G.O.A.T Avns,The game has a lot of content currently with one of the most beautiful looking renders. To utilise those great renders there is an amazing story wrapped around them. The conversations feel like real human beings talking which i find very rare in these games,Credits to the developer for this amazing project.Godspeed to U.Wishing u all the money and success
I started out really loving this AVN. The writing is strong and the story was well thought out and executed. It clearly pulls at the heart strings and if you just look at the story, it is 4-5 stars easy. The problems comes with the LIs. Starting with Hailey, she starts as a strong independent woman who needs to work on her people skills and then almost overnight, she devolves into a little girl who needs a daddy. I like her back story and I like that she is damaged, but the swing from tough, confident woman who is broken on the inside, to a puddle of desperation who needs the MC in her life to be able to function. It's just too dramatic of a swing. Sarah is going through some emotional trauma of her own and is indirectly linked to the MC. At first, I liked her character and I liked the "hidden" link between the two, but like Hailey, she went from getting to know the MC to totally wanting to be with him in no time and her personality changed in the process. She got really clingy really fast and like Hailey just threw herself at the MC and almost begged him to be with her or at least give her a chance. Yikes. Lisa is probably the best balanced LI of the three. She seems to have her act together better than the others but it is still a rapid climb from tentative co-workers to going all in on a relationship, but of course the MC is going to have to deal with her mom and her family. For my money, Linda seems like a better fit for the MC but she is not a main LI. I know there are lots of people who love this AVN and I am one of them, plus I really like the MC; he's flawed, smart, real and does not have a horsecock. At the end of the day, this is a great looking production with solid renders, a good sense of pacing and well written. The dev is really talented and it is clear they have put a lot of work into the AVN and it shows. Clearly it is a top tier AVN, but for me, I would have liked to have slowed down the relationships as they seemed to advance too quickley and not naturally. Regardless, it is clearly worth a download to make up your own mind. Good luck to a very talented developer.
I have no words, I came here for you know why but after playing through this I left as a different person. This is the first game in which I did not use the skip button to jump to the good parts. I read and reread every dialogue and went through ever scene as slow as possible. If by some miracle I have the option to meet the creator, I would really like to have a chat with him and ask him what inspiration did get to craft something so well written and well executed. All I can say is give this a try, you would not regret it.
The Missing Part [Ch.4] While this VN is generally very good, there's a few hiccups along the way that keep it from the full five stars. It's a decent read with some meat to it. Great character dynamics and drama with some fun moments in between. However, let's take a look at the intro/prologue. While it clearly sets up the events of the story, it should honestly be reworked to be chapter one. There's a lack of polish in the prologue's writing and scenes that make it feel slightly off, which is not want you want as the opening experience. The story should spend more time with these characters as they matured together for better emotional damage. The quickness in which these events are shown makes them somewhat predictable and hard to feel invested in. The latter half involving the daughter is much more compelling versus the first half due to the time spent building these relationships, and makes the end result of it hit much harder. Next, some dialog is a little off, but mostly fine. Dialog is tricky so the fact that's it's consistently good is better than most already. Then last of my 'complaints' is the lack of comments on the social status of these characters. Normally I wouldn't care, but a VN that takes itself this seriously should, at the very least, throw in a few lines of dialog about how absurd this wealth is. Especially since bringing someone out of poverty was a big part of the intro. I'm not asking for the author's opinion on billionaires, but the lack of any reaction to the most insane rich people things had me a little baffled. Overall, pretty good!
This story is incredibly well crafted, so much so that I believe that part of the story was experienced by this Dev personally, or a relative. All I can say is thank you for creating this game. And you have a beautiful captivating way with words. 'Excited to see what’s coming next and eagerly look forward to your future projects. Keep up the incredible work, jPk vns! 5/5 easily.
A behemoth of a game. Story - Very good so far. Spoiler Though it was sort of hard to use this game as fap material, the story itself is capturing but the sad plot behind it always lingers and it can make you quite emotional at times. The prologue itself was very depressing. I sort of expected the wife to die as soon as I saw the timeskip to post pregnancy, just a classic deathflag, but it was still sad, and how the daughter and the MC spoke about the wife carried on that sadness, and then boom, you're crushed by the time prologue ends. There is drama (though not overdone, we're still not at the dramatic bits from what I can gather). Characters - Great. No character feels dull. No character overdoes anything like a gimmick; every character seems to have a personality, shaped by their past. One tiny complaint is that some characters, I won't name who, feel like they exist just for existing, rather than being tied to the overall story. Models - The girls. Very very hot. Lisa especially takes the top spot for me. Everything about the models is pretty perfect anyhow, the clothing, the bodies, everything seems to have character rather than be plain or be there for no reason. Sex Scenes - Great so far. No complaints. What I like particularly is that the dev didn't overdo sex scenes like othergames, in the sense that its not just goon material with huge dicks and10 minute sex scenes with the protagonist cumming like a waterfall. They're sort of nice, romantic moments that, in my opinion, they're not as fappable as in other games, but that takes nothing away from the game itself. Like I've been trying to tell, the game is more than a wank fest. There is character building, romantic moments, funny and sad moments, hot moments, casual moments. Essentially anything that I think a great game should have on this website. Most games miss half of those things. The dev should continue like this.
Honestly, this is one of the more touching and well written AVNs I've played. The developer spends a lot of time on backstory and character lore and it goes a long way it making you emotionally invested in the plot. The supporting characters and LI's are mostly all interesting, each with their own unique story. It doesn't appear that there will be a harem option so most of the choices your character is faced with are related to the romance option you wish to pursue. If you're interested in a lewd fuck-fest, I don't think this is the game for you. There are nsfw scenes but this is a dialogue heavy, story driven AVN above all.
loved this game knows how to tug your heartsrings from sad parts to romance parts .love all lis and also misc lis ,hope this continue with this quality and good luck to dev ........will watch this and adios .......
Excellent storytelling with good pacing, rich and detailed worldbuilding and character development as far as the MC and his loved ones go. A solid 5/5. I personally however did not like any of the LI's and found the game most enjoyable with deciding not to engage in any "romance"routes. The circumstances that the MC finds himself are deeply emotional and profound and the LI's seem superficial and only served as a distraction in my own experience. I do however have some hopes for Madelyn (the sister) potentially being able to meet my criteria however wierd that would look in real life as she strikes me as the only potential LI who's character is deep enough to be suitable for a meaningful ending to me personally and it has nothing to do with any troupes. If only a family route with her will be avalible that would be fine. Short about the other aspects: The graphics and animations while obviously being great lacked somewhat in wierd looking private parts for the wimen, and Haily's apperance in both face and body areas was quite off-putting to me. Also Sarah's constant dry lips had the same effect, she looks to be on the brink of dying from dehydration. Other then that 5/5 The music was fitting and added to amplify each situation where it was meant to. 5/5 I found myself in tears several times and that is no small feat, especially for a story published on this site so I will follow this game with great hope and anticipation. All the best to the dev in this and future projects.
what a great series, A masterclass in narrative design. Every choice carries weight, woven into a world that feels alive. The character depth is staggering, and the ending left me speechless. A rare, hauntingly beautiful gem.
