Season 2 Chapter 12.5 This is the biggest half-chapter so far, and honestly, I think it might also be the best one yet, though of course, I’m not exactly unbiased. How could I be? I’m really excited to hear what everyone thinks about this one, because it includes some new systems that I’ve been working on for a while. I’m especially looking forward to feedback on how they feel in actual play, what works well, and what still needs improving. Either way, I’m very happy to finally share this half-chapter with you. Thank you all for the support, patience, and feedback. It really helps me keep the game going and continue improving it. Season 2 - Chapter 12 And again, Chapter 12 is by far the biggest chapter yet ( I never learn). Season 2 - Chapter 11.5 You might be wondering, why make a big announcement for just half a chapter? Well… this “half” turned out so big it could almost count as a full one. I actually planned to keep chapters shorter, but Patreon supporters voted overwhelmingly for the longer format: So here we are! If you’ve been on the fence about checking out the half chapters, now’s the perfect time. Trust me, it’s worth it. Season 2 - Chapter 11 And again, Chapter 11 is by far the biggest chapter yet. (I hope this doesn't become a habit.) Season 2 - Chapter 10 adds Joke's on me, Chapter 10 is even bigger than Chapter 9. It also marks the beginning of Season 2. Also the first Season (Chapter 1-9) has been grammatically revised and improved. So if you're looking for a reason to replay, or were unsure if you wanted to check it out in the first place, now is the perfect time. Season 1 Chapter 9 adds Lots of stuff. I haven't bothered to count, but Chapter 9 is easily the biggest update yet. Chapter 8 adds - About additional 1500 additional renders and over 40 new animations. Chapter 7 adds - Over 1300 renders and over 40 new animations. Bugfixes: Big bug fixed that let the player continue playing even though it shouldn't be possible. Not sleeping with Amy should lead to always losing the fight against 3. But if you slept with candy and turned amy down, it also allowed you to continue playing. Which technically shouldn't happen. this is now fixed Chapter 6 adds - Over additional 1300 additional renders. Chapter 1 Reworked - Over additional 1300 additional renders. Reworked all animations from Chapter 1. New choices, story reworked. More details: Click me Chapter 5 adds - Over additional 1200 additional renders. Over 40 new animations. Chapter 4 adds - Over additional 1500 additional renders. Over 50 new animations. Chapter 3 Over additional 1300 additional renders. Over 40 new animations. Chapter 2 - Over additional 1400 additional renders. Over 50 new animations. Chapter 1 - Over 1100 renders. - Over 40 animations,

I am very biased becose I love power fantasies but this one does a great job with their world building and characters. I was about to give 4 starts at the end of season 1 because the H Scenes where a bit too Honey Select-y and the story felt a bit kinetic as the only choices that I felt that were impactful were the ones that leads to bad endings, the factions you side with didn't matter in the long run. But by the end of season 1 you already see great improvement on the H-scenes and that continues on season 2. Also on season 2 we see more branching based on your choices so I'm giving 5 stars as it feels going to the right direction. So keep the great work Berkili4!

Review of version Season 2 Chapter 12 Anime. Do you like anime? Specifically, the Shōnen fantasy genre with power levels and magical abilities and perspicuous world-building? I don't much. I would've if I'd been introduced to it when I was younger, but instead I had things like Lord of the Rings to fill that youthful exuberance. Now I find it lacking in art and subtlety. But it still has its charms. Companion of Darkness is, more than any other AVN I've played, trying to tell a serious story in that genre. There is next to no comedy in this game. The impressive thing is that the game does this while also telling a harem power fantasy, weaving complex and developed characters, and maintaining conflict to drive the story forward. And the conflict isn't accruing more girls to add to your harem, thank god. Look, I find the whole thing kinda tacky. But I also played the entire game in 2 very long session, because it is a page turner. Season 1 definitely struggles more, with significantly more writing problems, plot contrivances, and worse visuals. To be honest, the plot contrivances and its veering from one twist to another with seemingly little direction almost made me stop playing. But thankfully I didn't. Season 2 is a noticeable step up. A lot of the plot problems are (or are being) resolved. The story now feels more focused, less of a roller coaster. Visually, there is marked improvement in both stills and animation towards the latter half of season 1, and especially in season 2. Berkili certainly loves anime action scenes, and puts effort into incorporating some animation into them where feasible. The sex scenes in season 2 are far, far better. They still need to be hotter and longer to really masturbate to, but they are stimulating. The audio is basic, but uses several appropriate tracks, and with some occasional sound effects. It's clearly had thought put into it. So even though I think the genre is tacky, I'm going to come back to this, for the story and the characters. So Berkili, please continue maintaining the harem balance, giving all of the love interests a good amount of time in the spotlight. Please make sure they all get the "I love you" treatment. And treat Jacky better!

This is another one of those games where your character has a normal life but then a mysterious girl gives you powers and there some kind of shounen-like story against other people with similar powers and the world is actually run by people with these powers. Classic low fantasy stuff. And the MC is kinda special because the magic girl he gets is special but not the most powerful. Typical stuff. The worldbuilding and lore is sort of forced down the reader's throat however, because instead of easing into this world, the dev just goes right for the deep end. Every new scene or development requires some new explanation, and the worlds rules are established but immediately broken because there's always something that needs an exception or explanation. There's some interesting ideas here but its just not written well enough to justify how seriously the story takes itself. The idea that these special people use their abilities to rise to the top of society, but there's incentives to work together or betray each other or hide is compelling, but this is then undercut by the fact that the strongest most powerful humans on the planet are Spoiler a 16 year old dork at your highschool and your goofy older brother, who both happen to live near detroit , and are as strong as they are because their magical girls are the most special and powerful. And the Spoiler 16 year old is the leader of the most powerful faction in America. This should either be a comedy or its needs to be thought out a bit better. I think the characters are fine. Nothing wrong with them but most of them are not that interesting. The sex scenes are okay, the animation isn't amazing. I did not find any of the sex scenes to be that hot. They do seem to try and get some variety which is nice, I just found the situations in which they happen to not be that sexy. The art is pretty average. The girls are shiny because this is HS2 not HS1, but there's a lot of stuff out there that looks better. Some effort clearly went into the sound design, but the kick and punch sound effects are cartoonish, which detracts from the fight scenes rather than adds to them. The fight scenes are clearly one of the major focuses of the game. My review is based on season 1, i didn't make it to season 2.

Finished up until the most recent update. There is a character in the first quarter of the game that got introduced and I had to restart because I liked this character so much and only chose being intimate with her and still trying to be nice to other characters without trying to have sex with them. Although there are exceptions where I have to just so the story doesn't break. I give this a solid 4.5/5.

To be clear, this is MY rating of the game. It can be a 5/5 if you're okay with a few things: 1. Do what the game wants you to. Seriously. The game will basically spell out "Hey, do this". Do it. If you don't, the game doesn't really know what to do. For example, the main LI will tell you have sex with different characters at different moments. Or to do 'x' action. If you go against what the game is asking, you'll get a single line or two of dialogue, and then the game will just assume you did the thing. Seriously. I avoided sex scenes, and then I just died, and the game forced me to repeat a moment except a character took control of MC's will and forced him to fuck someone. That was my breaking point of "yea no." If you go with the flow, everything is much smoother. 2. Enjoy extreme anime story lines with yes, power levels. So think Naruto/Bleach/etc. Obviously not to that level of quality, but it's the same idea. Some love it, some really hate it. I'm a bit old for this now. 3. Are okay with Honey Select characters. They're a bit rough, but they work, and the animations for sex scenes are nice imo. For me, I didn't like being forced into a lot of the situations, sex scenes that I felt were coerced, characters that I didn't like that I was forced to like, etc. That soured me very quickly on the game. I actually tried it again and just sort of went with all the 'good' answers, and it was a much smoother experience, but I couldn't get that initial negativity out of my mind. All the things the game expects you to do/like, I didn't want to do/didn't like. Not for me, but for some, it's a masterpiece.

Good god i hate rating out of 5. i would give this a 7 out of 10, as i will admit i still enjoy it quite a lot, even as it makes me laugh at things i am absolutely not meant to. This is a very competently made VN, with some cool animated moments and a lot of good characters. It's also a frankly overly edgy powerfantasy that works on anime powerscaling and motivations. it started out really strong, but the more people in the MCs surroundings that have become invovled with the dark ones and the more that the MC have "grown" the less interesting i find him. It's an unfortunate development but the personality of the MC really is just the unpopular kid powerfantasy as he can now kill or threaten every single normie if they annoy him. further too many plot moments hinge on either the MC, a dark one or one of his close friends just being special, rather than anything really related to their personality or strategy. then there's the killing. you will see a lot of death in this VN, plenty of Human and lower powered companions turned to bloody mist and corpsebits. and almost every single time, atleast to me, it just feels gratuitous. it never carries any weight other than showing how powerful a character, including the MC, is compared to the victims and it happens so often that any shock value or emotional weight is completely lost. However. most characters are still very likable, the LIs are good, and while i increasingly struggle to take the dialogue even a little serious, it is clear that a lot of care is still being put into the scenes. While i ended up on rounding down, that is mostly because the last chapter especially seemed to lean into the issues i had with the VN, and for this one i do see the strong posibility of increasing the score as the story continues.

Completed 12chapter and this is more my thoughts rather than a structured review (sorry for bad english) I have very strange feeling about the game, i whant to give it either 2.5-3 or 5+ sooo just start first 3-4 chapters, if it is your game-you will love it; if it isnt it will be mech. some key moments: -a very interesting plot, developed world -it is cool, sometimes too simple but cute story, if you want something deep mb you should skip. -it is fantasy, and im speaking not about mistery but about relentioship of characters. -this game is too naive but sometimes it become rough out of nowhere. -it is very black/white story heroes are good, villians are bad. -Relationships and scenes - some things happen to fast, as for me, like there was small time skip, but there was no one (im saing most about both main LY ,they are adorable, but i simply cant trust love, that happend too fast ) -some people argue about empty ms and that story is interesting and ms is blank but as for me it is 1 of biggest problems about story, not ms,because too much happens to fast, id love to have 3-4 more peacefull chapters across game, to breeze and chill a bit, have some dates and normal live, ms is on rush all the game , just give him some time to have fun, not to save someone AGAIN -to complex for "just fap" game, to simple for real VN still personaly i loved this game and will waight for continue.

What a fun game! Can't believe I haven't run into this before. LIs are hot, animation is decent, but above all, a really fun story with engaging characters. I got completely caught up in the story. Yeah, the worldbuilding is a bit confusing here and there, but never enough to be a problem. Good stuff.

Great story, pretty decent graphics (specially on the 2nd season. On the first chapters there's a lot of the characters being brightly let when they should be dark) Some of the lewd content happens too fast IMO but I always prefer a slow burn. Either way the plot alone is good enough to enjoy this game and it's one of my favorites now.

This game is the definition of a glow up. It starts off okay. The premise is solid, but the graphics are very weak at the beginning. Do not be put off by this, because as the game goes on, you can clearly see how the developer developed alongside the game, especially in the visuals and animations. I think this game is seriously underrated and deserves more support and recognition for the effort that clearly went into it.

Love the story, characters and animations. would have liked the MC a little darker, but other than that it is really good. Place it in my top ten AVNs. Currently at the horsemen and can't wait for them to meet their end.

s1 review only: pro: one of the few avns that have balance of story and sex and story is not just a concident, have ploty reason and implications. Though quality of story ebbs and flows , but what is ghreat is that the theme is consistently interesting. Some chracter like jacky and that other guy who beat mc disappears and the background is often empty , but there are plot reasons for it. Cons: sex scenes improve but they reamin janky chgaracter design improves till introduction oif cia, I was surprised how the obvious milf doesn't went for milf route but the burden was shared by other fmcs. Overall good experience let down by its viusuals and some annoying story line. I will edit this review once I am done with s2

At the time of writing, this might be my favorite title. Seriously underrated, should be sitting at a 4.7/5. Some of the things I love about it are the characters, they're pretty complex, but not as far as to confuse you. The story is fairly simple but extremely well done, there's very competently written character arcs and a sense of growth within the MC. At some point when I'm able to, I will be supporting this. Keep doing what you're doing!
AlmightySpinningTop 2025-12-24
SPOILERS! This game actively pisses me off. Got to chapter 6 and this is as much as I can take. Innocent people keep getting killed for no reason, characters that are friends of the MC keep ending up in shitty situations for the sake of drama like what happened to Emma with the order, and to top it all off the MC leaves everyone behind, even the girl he loves, after dealing with Az only to have Nael beg him to fix her fuck up and making Noel go feral. It’s like the dev just wants to piss off players. If you are a masochist that enjoys characters you like ending up in shitty situations you’ll love this. Beyond that visuals are just ok, there are much better looking HS games out there. Animations are just ok, you’ve seen them all before and the transitions aren’t great. I guess the writing is good. That’s just about the only positive I can think of, but again what’s the point of good writing if the story pisses you off? Its a moot point.

I will give give this review truthfully. When I first started, I found the concept was good but didn't like the story so much but after chapter 5 or 6 it got more interesting. I would say I am not a very big fan of mc having doing it with many people without having any feelings(I know in an AVN it's weird but still not my cup of tea) but otherwise the story is truly very good and nothing can be said about noel except perfect.

Animations- Decent at first, but gets better on the later chapters. Characters - Mid. there are some decent characters. there are some really bad ones. Story - Great at the start to Mid, but really Bad especially on the later Chapters. Overall - This game will frustrate you. I would've given this game atleast 4 stars if not for chapter 10-12. if you want to enjoy the story in this, you have to turn off your brain, especially on the mentioned chapters. SPOILER! This is my Biggest Criticism on this game. The way the developer makes a character important to the story is to make them Special, and there is nothing wrong with this, but it's the way it was handled. I'm gonna talk about a character named Clara. she is a friend of the MC, gamer, shy, rich. throughout the story, she doesn't really do much, sometimes she is there, most of the time not. but then suddenly she is the most powerful companion ever, she actually has the perfect body for a dark one, no build up, just a straight power up, and the explanation for this is because she loves games and "she is special, that is all that counts" that sentence came from the game itself. from chapter 1-9, a lot of the characters even the MC trained and suffered to have their powers, and this character who is too lazy to even clean her room(makes her dark one do everything, essentially her slave), play games all day, and the dev just makes her have 110% compatability to any dark one or primordial. and btw she is actually not a spoiled brat, this girl, who lived most of her life in a Pent House, play games all day on her two PC's, have a maserati as a first car, gives money to a gambler like it's nothing, and she has the gall to say that she is not a spoiled brat? and the MC replies "oh i know". i don't know if i'm just paying too much attention to every dialogue or the opposite, but what is is this writing? this is my first review, and i only wrote because i'm confused. why are the recent reviews so high? this character is not even the only offender, the MC too! okay this it for the review, i said too much.

The scenes are among the hottest of any game I play, and if you removed all of them I'd still be following this game for the story and world building. It's been a roller coaster so far and I'm nowhere near ready to get off this ride.
CypherTop87 2025-12-21
It is one of those rare games where the story is breathtaking, the characters are unique and amazing, and everything is complemented by stunning animation. Overall, this is one of those experiences that stays with you after you finish it. If you’re looking for a game with a strong narrative, and top-tier animation, I can’t recommend it enough. I'm curiously waiting too see what happens next
PlayingForPlot 2025-12-20
This really should be so much higher, but as the game went on it just become too frustrating to enjoy. While the characters and world are well developed, the art is fine, and it has some good animations, the plot insists on the main character doing constantly stupid ratchet up the "drama". Early on I thought this would be an easy 5/5 but the plot is way too driven by the MC being a moron to be enjoyable by the end of the current content. I'm pretty lenient with this sort of thing and don't mind that MC isn't all powerful, but it just becomes frustrating to play when most of the problems are caused by the MC making stupid choices leading to side characters being killed, possessed, or tortured while the MC runs around doing nothing much.
ninjadaredevil 2025-12-20
This review is going to come from a slightly harsher lens than I would've liked. First let's start with the good though. Animations - Great. Combat animations, spicy animations, etc. are all done extremely well. No complaints there whatsoever. Characters - Pretty damn good. While there could be a bit more fluctuation in how the MC is allowed to develop which would've been nice, I don't have the same complaints that some other reviews do. Each character feels like they have their own distinctive personality and do speak and act accordingly. World building - Great as well. You really do start to understand the world slowly, and it doesn't feel like it's just constrained to the plot, it does feel like you're slowly learning more and more. Now for the suboptimal, I won't quite say bad. It's started feeling like the plot is just going in a lot of random different directions simultaneously. Like the number of current sub plots keeps growing, and we make very slow progress on each sub plot. Because of that each of the newer chapters is starting to feel less fulfilling than the prior ones. Imo there was a lot more depth in the relationships of the prior ones, detail, emotion, etc. Now we're just dealing with bouncing back and forth and barely making progress anywhere in a sense. It's still written well for sure so I'll ofc keep coming back to this, but especially in a game where there aren't that many choices it is getting a bit frustrating that it takes about a year to see any progress made on the overall plot. In all honesty I'd actually probably rather not have the intricate combat animations, and just have more effort into actually progressing the story. Overall good and this is one of the times that I wish an author had a bigger budget bcs then pursuing all these sub plots in a reasonable manner might actually be possible, but I am hoping that we drop some of the unnecessary fluff so we can make more progress rn.
