Realm Invader

If this game ends up getting abandoned, I may actually kill myself. That's it. That's the review. Okay, no it's not. This game is, without a doubt, the greatest H-game I have ever played to date. I stumbled across this by complete accident and just downloaded it on a whim, and I'm so damn happy I did. It is the most complete and all-around well executed game I've found so far. The writing is top-notch, the visuals are amazing, and the characters... If only one part of my review is actually read by anybody, let it be this: the characters are the best written characters in any H-game I've played. As low of a bar as this may sound, the characters in this game all have endearing and relatable personalities that don't just revolve around sex or how horny they are. They are actually worth getting invested in, and they are very easy to get invested in. In most games, I only actually care about 1 or 2 character options and just play the rest for the sake of the content. In this game, I genuinely care about every character introduced so far and just look forward to every new scene involving them. And that's not to even mention the humor. I totally understand that 'Zoomer brainrot' might not be everyone's cup of tea, but I don't think I've ever laughed so hard and so often playing a game of any type before. My only real criticism is that, aside from locking you out of content, choices don't seem to actually mean anything. You'll miss content with X person if you choose the wrong options, but that's about it. There's no other path you will get from choosing one option over another or even a real penalty. I wouldn't say this game is close to being a KN like another reviewer said, but it would just be nice if dialogue options had a little more meaning behind them. But I can wholeheartedly say that Realm Invader is the benchmark to which every game will be (and should be) measured against going forward. Having said all that: I will defy biology and science and get Ashley pregnant. (In the game?) NO, IN REAL LIFE.

I can't remember the last time I laughed so hard at a video game, the humor is great, the story too, the characters, the music, everything. But its sense of humor makes it one of the best visual novels I've ever played. I don't usually play unfinished games—with a few exceptions—because it really annoys me when they end up abandoned or remain in development for years longer than necessary just to milk players for money. But this game is worth the wait, and if you value quality, please support the creator as much as you can.

Might be more of a "me" thing, but this one really isn't doing it for me. The author is obsessed with "lol so random" humor that eviscerates immersion, constant 4th wall breaks. Might be more popular with a zoomer audience, I don't know. Agency is spotty. There are sex scenes you can't really refuse, and if they aren't your thing, by the gods, do they drag as the protag explains in great detail how it turns him on so much. Good for him, I guess. Almost all of the characters have enormous udders and corpulent proportions, so if you're into a more petite aesthetic in 2026, you'll go to jail and/or be burned at the stake you won't be catered to here. The game is constantly telling you what other characters are thinking (hello, can I roleplay MY character here???), and it's invariably "Oh my god, MC is so hot, I like MC so much for no fucking reason, I want to suck him so much, I literally can't conceal how much I want to fuck MC"... It breaks immersion (recurring theme here) and feels too pandering. There's a plethora of attitudes women can have regarding sex with a specific person, and yet all we see in most of these games is instant, over nine thousand swooning. Yeah, not for me.

Gary's a genius, i can't wait for more. Beautiful looks, probably the best humor moments i've seen in any AVNs i've ever played, great pacing, absolutely AMAΖING animations and last but not least, fantastic job with the lewd scenes

This almost kinetic AVN (almost because you can lose a love interest's path or otherwise make wrong decisions -- use the walkthrough mod if you don't like that) absolutely deserves its current average score of 4.7. I give an AVN 5 stars if either the story or the porn is great and there are no major problems. Here both are great, and the only problem I see is the silly running gag with an obnoxious shirtless developer avatar trying to insert himself and trying to move the game into a gay direction. Yes, it's funny, but I could do without it. The setting is just another variation of some of the most popular themes: Young male living with an attractive single mother and her three daughters, Isekai, magic, fantasy races, slavery, but all of this in a modern setting. The lack of originality would be a problem if the execution wasn't among the very best. The execution is on a level somewhere between Eternum (current rating 4.8) and Harem Hotel (current rating 4.6). Actually closer to Eternum because it doesn't have the typical sandbox clumsiness, though thematically closer to Harem Hotel. Oh, and the quality of the porn is also between these two. Sometimes it's amazing how accurate the ratings on this site are. (I hope it's OK for me to compare this game to those other two games -- they each have 10 times as many ratings since they are older, more developed and well established.) The main character suddenly finds himself in a parallel world that is exactly like the one he remembers (same city, same people), except it has Elfs, animal-human hybrids, magic, and magic slavery. In this world he has always had magic abilities but has essentially never used them, as if he was one of the few 'dull' people. He doesn't remember this, though, as all his memories refer to his original world. And it turns out that he suddenly has very strong magic abilities that are unusual even for this world. He soon finds himself as a magic student at university, with a harem that includes a busty catgirl slave , and trying to solve several criminal mysteries that may or may not be interrelated. One thing I really like about this game is when it uses anime-style physical comedy. As of Episode 2 Part 2, there is already a few hours of content here. I recommend giving it a go.

Well. I tried really many nsfw games. This one in the S tier. Pretty funny, beautiful and well animated. Writing is good. Without dumb description of the image already shown. And a story that kept my attention for hours. Five out of five. When I make my own AVN, I will look up to this masterpiece.

I say this with as much gravitas as reviewing a porn game can allow, but I don't think there's a greater torchbearer for Once in a Lifetime than Realm Invader. I say this FULLY aware Caribdis made Eternum too, but I feel like Realm Invader isn't just an imitation of work, but a love letter to one of the most beloved AVN's created. The style, the humour, the pacing, it all matches fantastically, and with updated visuals to boot. I also think that Realm Invader's focus is more on the characters we interact with than the world-building, which lends itself closer to OiaL than Eternum does. I will say that this is also an example of an AVN where the graphics don't have to be incredible. They're great, but there's certainly AVNs on here that have served up better visuals. However, what the project clearly demonstrates is maximisation of the style and the skills available. Very little feels repeated, and the only time it IS is for comedic effect. All-in-all, I really got no notes. Just a great experience, however this is ONLY relevant for Ep.2 P2, so if it changes I'll try to update this.

Humor is subjective. So, I went into this expecting to maybe bounce off of it or get annoyed by it. Frankly, I do find myself fast-skipping some of the banter, depending on who is involved. There's some amount of everyone-is-witty leakage that could be toned down. That's an issue that can appear in any type of writing: people ultimately write themselves. Does that mean the developer is a bunch of hot women? Yes. They're also genuinely very funny. It gives me some Grisaia common route vibes in how the comedy is handled. Usually, it's well done. I genuinely burst out laughing a few times, which isn't something I usually do when I'm alone in my room looking at "porn". Comedy erotic fiction can be great! Many of the best JP VNs rely heavily on comedy. Still, humor is subjective, so I don't think this will please everyone. As far as everything else? The animations are very well done, within scenes and without. Honestly, the game is very visually appealing in general. I'm not sure what's involved in making these Ren'Py HS games, but this guy does it better than the vast majority. The sex scenes take a buildup (usually) and don't always jump into immediate sex involving a man with a comedically large penis breaking a woman in half. He even gives the girls head! Sometimes that's all that happens! What a nice guy. Foreplay is good and is what normal people do. Somehow, this is also the only HS game I've seen that doesn't have those horrific-looking blowjob scenes where the woman's face is ripping in half and clipping through the penis. Good job. The story? I'm not really sure what's going on. I'm writing this review fairly close to the end of the current release. There is one... probably... it just seems to be mostly slice of life for now. There's magic and shit, whatever. I don't have a strong opinion about the setting. There's one plot... dip? I'm not sure if it's worth calling a hole, but one area that doesn't really make sense regarding your Spoiler cat girl slave that I feel like will be resolved soon.. maybe. If it isn't, I'll be disappointed. Spoiler I mean she's definitely full of shit, or at least partially full of shit, right? Her whole situation is way too convenient and weird. Character writing is fantastic! Everyone feels distinct and genuine. Writing characters who seem like individuals and not just a reflection of a fetish or the author's voice is very hard. All the girls are loveable and are worth spending time with. Like I said, there's some wit leakage. Not everyone needs to be funny all the time. But whatever. You can't help yourself, that's fine. Overall, totally worth reading. Probably not really something you'd read just to jerk off, though. Not a lot of that kind of thing going on. I'd say it's a 4.5/5, as the plot is taking way too long to develop due to some jokes running on too long or appearing unnecessarily, but we'll round up.

Great game with a story that really captures you. It's a game that makes you want to read deeper into the world, I found myself wishing for more lore to be added so I could dive deeper into the world.

The visuals are great, the magic system and world are great. There's a part where the MC says "man I'm sick of that guy" in relation to the dev self-insert and man I couldn't agree more. I almost knocked this down to a 2/5 just for that guy. The game itself is fantastic and you should probably play it if you're reading reviews on it, but just know it's goofy and tropey and mostly lands with what it's trying to do. Which I found hilarious. At first. If the dev continues this game, just tone it down a bit, and for the love of all that is good, please put the developer character to maybe one appearance a chapter. *Edit: by S2 Ep2 the dev got a handle on how to use a joke and not let it overstay it's welcome. Honestly, the game gets better and better with each update. I have to praise the dev for the growth over each update. Amazing game.

As of Ep.2 P2 In short - really fucking good. So, let's get something out of the way first - the thing that might turn you away is the comedy. There is a lot of it, some of it breaks the 4th wall with a bulldozer and in general it's a bit overdone here and there. The serious moments are serious, but currently are somewhat few and far between. The sex scenes are choke full of comedy also. And a lot of it is extremely silly, cartoon-ish comedy. If you don't like such humor or you want a pedal to the metal doom and gloom story - don't even bother. The second thing that is a massive problem for some people is the fact that there is no actual penetrative sex in the game yet. There is quite a lot of blowjobs, titjob, tight jobs and masturbation and things are clearly going to happen, but no vaginal or anal sex. The third "negative" is that it's HS. It's literally one of THE examples what a good dev can do with HS, but there is still some of HS's inherent jank. That said I can't do justice to just how good the visuals are. Lots of animation, lot's of special effects, insane attention to sets. Just... this is what you can do with HS. Still here? Well, get ready for a wild ride. The story is good. One day something happens and you awake (not literally) to your own mundane world, but with magic and a few fantasy races. You are suddenly a very powerful mage, but there are bigger fish out there. Gather your support group (not all of them your harem - I was very pleasantly surprised by the amount of non-evil dudes around), figure shit out, get slowly dragged in to whatever is going on. Fuck every chick around. Major notice, I don't actually think you should use the patch, the game makes much more sense if you are not related to the family you live with. Well, that's all I can say without major spoilers. Just play the game and see for yourself how the story unfolds. Characters are well-written and distinct, writing leans a bit too much on telling for my taste and boy can some parts get wordy as fuck., especially in the last part. But they are all fun to interact with, they all have very distinct personalities and while said personalities are a bit trope-y, I don't have any problems with them overall. I said there is no penetrative sex, but my gods, this is one kinki dev. When was the last time you fucked someone with a bottle in an AVN? Generally it seems the game will lean somewhat heavily in to domination from the MC, while trying to keep it wholesome (seriously - the MC ain't no asshole). All in all, don't read this review, go an play the goddamned game. You will love it.

Really enjoyed this game and almost wish I started it a couple of years down the road just so that I don’t have to wait for more content! Also has one of the best written dialogues from a comedy prospective especially Vineeta

Game with a lot of humor, but the pacing doesn't do it for me. I like the fact that the girls don't fall for the MC within seconds but there is too much effort engaged for comedic purposes that don't necessarily make the story move forward, and not much eye candy from it. Also, the logical freestyle part is a mess.

Version Ep.2 P1 Realm Invader is another one of those excellent five star games let down by a misleading title and summary page. Despite what the developer says, RI has little to do with invading or hopping around realms. It's actually a high production value slice of life romantic comedy that takes place within a Sci-Fi / Fantasy world. There is a central story to that, but most of the play time is devoted to comedic moments between MC and the LIs. Story MC got isekaied into another realm that is largely similar to ours save for the presence of magic. Magic in this realm is commonly practised but its utility much limited to minor spells that increase the quality of life together with technology. There is some mystery as to how and why MC got transmigrated to this realm which might be potentially tied to the story of two of the main LIs, Cadence and Stella. However the bulk of the novel is centred around comedic interactions between MC and others. Humour and romance aren't high on my list of preferred AVNs , but I inevitably found myself laughing together with the MC at all his various mishaps and adventures. The humour is presented on point through skilful use of dialogue, posing , sound effects and cut scenes. It isn't all fun and games either - RI can be emotionally powerful when it needs to be in rare moments. The first meeting between MC and Cadence as well the sudden terror with Stella at a dark alley are really emotionally immersive and unexpected. One moment you are just coasting along laughing and next moment it hits you with an emotional sledge hammer. Game Mechanic Conventional AVN with choices that can decide whether a scene gets unlocked. Kudos also to the slick UI that's pretty cool to use though it's just standard Renpy features beneath. Background / Character Renders Another one of those top notch HS rendered games that tilts towards the anime and kawaii end of the spectrum. MC has this Mr Generic HS look that is constantly made fun of in the game while the LIs are all very distinguishable and well designed. Cadence has got to be one of cutest catgirls I have seen in AVNs and the other LIs are also pleasant and endearing in their own ways. Backgrounds are the usual generic fare, but a more unique aspect of RI is it features quite a good number of lengthy animations even in non sex scenes. Many of these push the limits of HS especially those with special effects for fight and magical scenes. Character Development I wasn't expecting much character development from RI as this aspect is normally quite weak in the comedy genre. However, the developer manages to inject a lot of personality into the LIs to make each of them unique. While some like Miya and her daughters can be a little tropey, they are still funny and adorable. Vineeta is a pretty unique character and her rapport with MC is convincingly soothing to the point she feels like a best match for MC. Sex Scenes RI is a slow burn game, so don't expect sex scenes early and there's certainly not a lot. In fact by Chapter 2 Part 1 there is still no penetrative sex yet, but a lot of the teasing ones are very unique and erotic. A lot of care is taken to ensure backgrounds, dialogue, posing and music tracks complement each other to create a fulfilling experience. The animations are also highly customised with great length and sometimes complicated camera angles. Definitely not two second generic short loops seen in most games. BGM and Sound Effects Music takes up an important role in both normal and sex scenes, they aren't just complementary but one of the main elements to drive home the narrative. A lot of the sound effects during funny, conflict and intense moments are also deployed to magnify the narration. Conclusion RI is yet another masterpiece AVN that you should try even if Romcoms are not your thing. It's a masterful blend of visual spectacle , humour and slow burn romance that is rarely seen in the industry. Only thing I would have reservations is the slow pace of story progression to date, not sure if there is a reasonable chance this game can be completed at its current pace.

Ep2 P2 + lots of content. + girls are great + story is enjoyable + some of the jokes made me laugh + good looking girls and special effects + I like the magic - too many forced jokes / visual gags usually fall flat and harm the flow of the game and harm suspension of disbelief. - 4th wall breaks too from dev char. - too much blue balling. lampshading it does not mean it isn't annoying. overall thoroughly enjoyable experience. 4.5/5 stars. rounding up to 5.

Realm Invader, what could have been a masterpiece is butchered by the lack of courage to let emotional tension build. As I said in the opening statement, realm invader is potentially a top-notch game. Beautiful staging, interesting story but sadly the protagonist makes it kinda weird. I'm not sure if I do Invader Gary any injustice by this but it's either a game that is intentionally set to be a troll game or simply Invader Gary can only write with an emotional maturity of a middle-grader. There are stunning scenes, riveting plot points, turns and twist but I often find myself jettisoned out of the game by that humongous wrench thrown in just to squeeze in some joke. Any moment that could be awesome to read and see is becoming a satire of anime tropes. Any honest feelings being confessed are nothing more than a joke. Any morals and lines a character upholds are nothing more than a setup to slapstick humor joke. It is really sad to see potential wasted, or I am simply not getting it. Now with the rant being done some dry and short numbers: Visuals and animations are 4/5. There is really just some post-processing, minor details or eventually application of a custom-tailored shader to be used to reach 5/5. Composition, colours and design are genuinely good. Characters can be easy distinguished from each other and nearly everyone can find a character who is up their alley. Only issue I have is for some animations are the timings simply too long. I don't want to see a 20 seconds long staring duel just for a joke. Plot: 4/5 I loved reading the plot in the beginning and was pretty happy to see the worldbuilding happening in the lore section of the game with each article. Sadly at some point I started missing out some parts, I guess, since I started to skip some dialogues just to avoid the needless jokes. Characters (other than the MC): 3.5/5 Don't get me wrong, I like the characters. But that's it. There isn't too much depth to them. You have some tropes but you do have also characters being quite unique (e.g. Noelle). It's a bit too much of a coincidence for every LI in the household to be in some form of submissive kink but that's porn logic for you. I could see exploring or nurturing submissive kinks but they all have them from the beginning. MC: 1/5 If I could give it a 0 I would do so. The MC is what I expect from a 14 yo action manga white knight mixed with a socially inept 16 yo discovering he has a dick. If he's not busy white-knighting in his own thoughts he can't do much than throw some jokes. It's ok to be light-hearded as in shrugging of fatalistic situation so you can be a beacon of hope, but that trait loses its charisma if you can't be serious at times needed. So yeah: the initial chapter 1 had a somewhat nice balance between humor and being serious. There were witty jokes and some enjoyable banter but as soon as it ramped up and turned the game in a nsfw satire game I couldn't take it. I played it until the end of Chapter 2 Part 2 (end of party?) just to see if we see some growth and the story, after going wild with its jokes, sobering up to be more balanced. But alas it didn't. If I had to rate only the visuals, I'd gladly give a 4/5 but the decision to turn this game into a circus but with sex dragged it into 2/5.

I really enjoyed this game this far really. Great animation , the best humor I have seen in any avn and making good use of magic in s scenes. Not making mc really weak or overly reliant( I like that) . Overall pretty good and would highly recommend .

Very much enjoyed this game. It's a slow burn and the comedy won't be for everyone, but I overall enjoyed the journey. As far as Honey Select games go, this is one of the better ones. My favorite character was Chloe. Can't wait for more updates.

Very amusing and constant humor. A bit over the top but selling the entire experience. The game hints at sexual themes in the beginning without being too crazy on providing immediate sex and instead slowly builds up the world.

I've played many many games on this site, probably too much games. But this one is the first game I ever played here that made my audibly laugh, though it's not high humor this is something that makes this particular game noteworthy. Typical power fantasy with isekai'esq story, but it made me laugh so 5/5.
